It can be important to look for ways to simplify what you draw (you can save yourself some time since not all the details are important), but I like how this video shows that you don’t have to always do that yourself, because you can take inspiration from other people’s art styles that already demonstrate an effective way to simply something.
I've just decided to start learning anatomy a few days ago, starting with hands. And the algorithm has blessed me with this gem. This is crazy helpful! The density of useful information is just right, compared to like 99% of all the other 30 minute long tutorials out there.
Yes, it's super important to credit, because there are a lot of efforts put in these works and I want to make something good for others! Thank you for mentioning it :)
Subbed. Bless ya, man. You're doing such good work helping educate all kinds of artists. Much appreciated, so I left a like and am leaving this comment here, too. Thanks again!
Damn, guess I'm a little confused about that, even after seeing the video 3 times- But I liked your other videos and I'll continue to watch them, so I can catch this one later... good video btw :D
Thank you! I believe that everything that we are watching will stack up together and finally it would click - it happened to me a lot of times. So no worries - you'll definitely catch this later :)
i love your video, but i dont think that drawing strictly from real life references is a wrong way. i think its important to mention that you should gradually move up from drawing from other artists to drawing real life references, so you can understand muscle structure better without overwhelming yourself. nonetheless great vid, subbed!
Yes, you’re right! Practice from real life references is absolutely necessary, and drawing from artists can help to speed up the process of learning. So it’s good to combine. Thank you so much for your support, it means a lot to me ☺️
Wow! Very helpful video! I can't believe you have got only 3000 subscribers:( What do you think: do I need to understand some anathomy to draw with my not really detalized anime style?
Glad that it was helpful! Thank you so much :) I think that to draw simple anime style figures you'll still need to understand basic anatomy. Try to start with proportions of the body, than learn how to draw basic figure (there are a lot of videos here on YT). And after you'll just need to know how to draw basic poses (not complicated, not foreshortened). And you good to go! You'll be able to draw simple but believable characters. In the future you can develop additional stuff, but now basic things will help you to draw most of the stuff you want :)
Thank you so much! Yeah, last weeks i am trying to draw different poses. I can't understand how to use perspective and draw complicated poses but i think it's okay for now. I am trying to learn everything by my own, it's difficult but I am sure that someday i'll draw my own manga(comics) and show people my plots and characters:)
Thank you for the helpful video! I reckon it'd be pretty awesome if you had a Discord or a similar platform where we could post our work based on your videos.
Sir I’m struggling with motivation I used to draw for 6~9 hours a day now I rarely draw I’ve been so down (medical condition) I wanna draw again but i can’t it feels like I forgot everything but when I grab the pen turns out I didn’t forget. do you have any tips on how to get back into drawing?
When I have pauses in drawing like this I have the same problem! I can tell how I personally deal with it. Sometimes it helps just to stop drawing entirely and start procrastinate as much as I can - play games, watch something and etc. I try not to think about drawing in this time. And finally when I get bored and dissapointed about fast and easy dopamine peaks I see the only way of feeling good - it's drawing. And I start with little sketches (they must be with no responsobilities or deadlines, just for yourself). Then I just find myself in the "flow" state and understand that it's my way of living when I feel happy. It's my way of dealing with this and maybe it's not suitable for everyone, but it might help
