I hope you made the wishes before floating kratong away! I’m so happy to see this festival in action and reminding me of it with food music etc. I made my eco kratong last night too in England and floating along Oxford Canal with completely darkness, windy and rain and nobody around 😁. Happy Wan Loy Kratong 🎉

In the rural areas, Loy Kratong festivals in towns or temples are more of a family event. I think I like it better than wild Songkron.
Nice that these “floating vessels” are made with biodegradable items and locally handcrafted.
Yeah it was definitely family friendly, we really enjoyed it! We haven't experienced Songkran yet, we'll let you know in April 😝 Yeah the Krathongs are so cleverly crafted and beautiful!

Went to Loy Kratong in Bangkok many many years ago it was packed in the park but very good night, your temple is more relaxed not too many people. It would cost me a fortune to buy enough to get rid of all my sins.
It was very busy but not cramped or anything so it was good for us, especially with 2 small children 😅 Hahaha I don't believe that John! 😝

Thais are such happy people. Always up for a party. Be it farang NY, Chinese NY, Thai NY or Loy Krathong. We were down to the local wat yesterday. My lad made a krathong at school so wanted to float it. My missus was there for the grub though...lol.

I’m glad you make these videos. It lets me escape for my miserable life. I fucking HATE my life. I feel like I’m in prison. I have a job I HATE. I earn HALF the amount I’m used to doing a much more labor intensive job than before. There is no future in it either, that is the worst part. I think about just going out to the oilfield and work 6 months straight just to get my girl and I right. It would be such a sacrifice though. The part of the country where it is is absolute misery. I want us to get enough money to escape like you did. I can’t stand it anymore.
