- The “Rabbit Fire” that broke out on Friday night is continuing to spread and force evacuations near Beaumont.

I lived and worked in Cali for a decade or more and this was the norm every year. On a lighter note its not spreading nearly as fast as Syphylis is spreading in Houston.

Since 2019 it has gone up by around 125% that they know of.
Syphilis can be dormant for up to decades before attacking the brain, eyes, nervous system, etc, if people aren't tested.
Syphilis is far more easily treatable than the fires, floods, heat waves, tornados, hurricanes, etc, from climate change that is killing people, livestock, crops and wildlife.

Believe it or not, it's all about money. If there is no fire, there will be no funding/budget for those "people in charge", I know it's difficult to believe that. Same thing as drug addiction and homelessness on the streets. These "higher ups" at the local government can only receive larger budget, depending on how big the problem is. Without those big issues, little allocation will be for the district, no big money for the big guys, who wants that?

Newsom cut the funding for fire safety once in office. Now he uses wildfires to prove climate change needs to be addressed. It’s a PR thing so he can be president and he is already meeting with other world leaders getting sympathy for all these fires.
The only practical way to 'clear the land' is by burning it. That is happening now.
