That was an amazing presentation. I didn’t know what the on-ramp to Atmos production was until I watched this video, know I know. I especially appreciated the Pro Tools section of the presentation. There’s a lot to take in. Clearly Avid has not been sitting on their hands for the last little while. The Aux I/O and Dolby Audio Bridge technologies seem like cross point matrices that got their start in I/O Config, then got more robust with Dante Controller, but now it’s a cross platform mega crosspoint editor able to connect multiple input and output formats. The level of integration is amazing. I look forward to delving into this suite of technologies.
Now I know what my parents must feel like when I discuss my commercial studio operations.. It is a confusing new world of options but will the consumer appreciate and consume? This AVID presentation was very thorough and informative for me. Thanks VK as always !
This is the new wave 👋 In mixing it’s really immersive and a great 👍 listening 👂 experience so you definitely have to upgrade your system going beyond 5.1 Dolby.

Listen to the Greg penny mix on headphones and stereo speakers. It's better than the original on the gear you have now.
How do you manage low end when mixing in Atmos ? 🤔
You produce for headphones first ❣️
The push for music to mandate it is in Atmos format defeats the purpose of music. Music is to be focused. In your face.
