A large tall snake plant might look good in your front entrance or bedroom. They purify the air and are also very forgiving since they don't require much water. If you don't have experience with fiddle leaf figs, please do a lot of research. I personally had such a hard time keeping mine alive.. or maybe mine was already sick.. not sure 😮💨

I know some people ask others to wait to acknowledge their puppers until they are a little more calm, maybe that is why. I know with my sweet girl, I ask people to wait because she gets super hyper and tends to jump and I'm trying to teach her to have better manners and to not bombard guest. Once she is more calm she gets all the cuddles 🥰
@@klove124 Yes, that's how we trained the grandparents' dog not to jump on us (I learned this from a trainer), we ignore him until he stops jumping on us, he only gets attention after he calms down, you don't want to reward an unwanted behavior, they have a garden and the dog loves to roll around in the dust/mud, it's not nice to get covered in mud every time you arrive.

No. The baskets are fine. But they should be put in a waterproof pot first then put in the aesthetic basket. So that you don't accidentally welcome a nice bacteria or fungal community into your home.
Love the curtain idea! Not sure how tall your windows are but Ikea do some pretty long curtains that are affordable just in case the alteration doesn't work out like you want it to. At least that's the case over here in Europe :)

I'd suggest a snake plant for by your front door- they are tall, skinny, enjoy low light and and very hardy if you do accidentally bump into them.

They sell plastic basket/pot liners at home improvement stores, you could put one in the basket you bought for the plant.
