Loving the reactions! Totally agree about doing them in random order. It's more surprising that way. There are a few Ren songs however that have different versions, and while each is worthwhile, you'll find the Ren fans REALLY want to see one particular version first, and I must admit that in these few cases, this order leads to a richer viewing/listening experience. As long as reactors get to the ANGRY CAR PARK version, I'm cool with any order for this song. The ACPA version though is unique as a video. The other versions are just music videos (great ones) but CAR PARK is an experience. If you're only reacting to one, which many reactors do, personally I'd sacrifice the song for the experience. @@seth1455

This is such a great song! It truly showcases his talent at rapping ! I discovered Ren organically, so i understand wanting to find his music your own way. I just felt blessed by finding Hi Ren, I didnt know if it would be a one hit wonder so I felt myself become more surprised and amazed by everything he does. I am absolutely a fan now... New Subscriber, loving the Ren reactions! I totally get what you're saying about "choosing your own adventure" through Ren's catalogue. If I may make a couple of helpful suggestions for some of the trickier videos that you'll likely come across where it isn't always apparent which version of a song is the "official" version, and which is the "wrong" version (I mean those terms kindly, the few cases where the Renegades will come through and tell you that you've done the 'wrong' version, and your comments will be full of calls to do the "right" version). When you get to them, these are the specific videos you want to watch: 1) 'Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live)' - the thumbnail shows Ren and a female (Chinchilla) dressed in all white 2) 'The Big Push - I Shot the Sherriff / Road to Zion / Hip Hop' - Look for the version with Ren in the *RED SUSPENDERS* 3) 'Money Game Part 2 (Official Lyric Video)' - Look for the version that the thumbnail looks like an old tube tv (As part of watching the Money Games Series) One of the few cases where the Lyric video is the "official" video over the Live version -- the Live version is missing several verses. 4) 'Ren - The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Official Music Video)' - The official 13min 32sec video contains all 3 songs in the Tales Trilogy (the 3rd one is Violet's Tale). This one in particular is important to the Renegades to do all together because it's got some story through lines that are difficult to connect across separate videos (not just yourself, but also your audience that also haven't seen the Tales yet). I'm here for it, enjoy the ride, there's so much more than you can imagine down this rabbit hole to discover and enjoy. :)
Ren wrote "The Hunger" in 2015. All the songs and vids you're seeing were all written before Hi Ren. It was all planned in advanced, Ren knew he was going to spend most of 2023 in Canada getting treatment. That's why the Big Push split up. The only Songs/Vids Ren has written after Hi Ren, are the spoken poetry at the end of suicide, For Joe. Murderer acoustic version. King Dotta diss track, and of course Money Game Part 3, and the last one, Fred Again mash up.

You're gonna LOVE the fun nature of "Losin' It" (Fisher retake). Also think you'll love both versions of "Animal Flow", though the live version is superior in my opinion. (2 of my personal favorites in his rap library are "Power" mostly for the hook, bass drops, and especially the message, and "Illest of our Time", because it's just a solid, beat my chest, show the world what I got kinda song, start to finish (much like "Losin' It").
Money Game and the Tale of Jenny and Screech definitely should be watched as the trilogies. But outside of those, you should just follow your own instincts and watch whatever suits your mood. 😊
I agree with u on going in blind with a lot of things, but with Ren, it really does help to know his past regarding his illness and such....His songs just make so much more sense! There is truly no correct order to listen to Ren's music - they are all unique and different. The only ones that matter are the Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet. It is best to do those all together and in the correct sequence (there is a video with the full version). Great reaction 💜💜

the Hunger has many flow changes. If you check it, it's a Yes and flow. Takes the coming home route. He brings back all of the flows from before. Mono, to double to treble, back to single and around again. Check the flow.... He made a Monster.

Ren is such an innovator.: truly a generational talent that I am honored to experience in real time… he has an ability to blend recognizable elements from so many genres, makes it sound amazing while weaving his own instrumental, lyrical and storytelling skills unique to the mix … a formula for inspirational and innovative art..PS thanks for sharing a little bit of your personal journey, I’m also in recovery and it’s comforting to know that we are not alone in this struggle… I was on life support back in august after a relapse… wasn’t supposed to survive… obviously I did and I had mixed emotions and felt super disappointed in myself.. I got home after 2 months in the hospital and was in mental funk until a friend introduced me to “hi Ren”… I never watched a reaction video until this video… watching the emotional reactions of others gave me this incredible feeling of human connection and it was the most impactful experience I’ve ever had.. it pulled me out of my funk.. the ventilator saved my body and Hi Ren saved my soul….. Absolutely jump around. The Tales go together, Money Game 1, 2 (lyric video) and 3 go togother, but you really can watch the others in any order and it really won't matter. Even Love Music (there are 4) can be watched in any order. How To Be Me, and Chalk Outlines are best watched Live, but with those tips in mind, you have a VAST catalogue to dip into! (Like his buskin gband The Big Push, just as good. OR Chinchilla... you'll see when you get there haha).

New Subscriber, loving the Ren reactions! I totally get what you're saying about "choosing your own adventure" through Ren's catalogue. If I may make a couple of helpful suggestions for some of the trickier videos that you'll likely come across where it isn't always apparent which version of a song is the "official" version, and which is the "wrong" version (I mean those terms kindly, the few cases where the Renegades will come through and tell you that you've done the 'wrong' version, and your comments will be full of calls to do the "right" version). When you get to them, these are the specific videos you want to watch:
1) 'Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live)' - the thumbnail shows Ren and a female (Chinchilla) dressed in all white
2) 'The Big Push - I Shot the Sherriff / Road to Zion / Hip Hop' - Look for the version with Ren in the *RED SUSPENDERS*
3) 'Money Game Part 2 (Official Lyric Video)' - Look for the version that the thumbnail looks like an old tube tv (As part of watching the Money Games Series) One of the few cases where the Lyric video is the "official" video over the Live version -- the Live version is missing several verses.
4) 'Ren - The Tale of Jenny and Screech (Official Music Video)' - The official 13min 32sec video contains all 3 songs in the Tales Trilogy (the 3rd one is Violet's Tale). This one in particular is important to the Renegades to do all together because it's got some story through lines that are difficult to connect across separate videos (not just yourself, but also your audience that also haven't seen the Tales yet).
I'm here for it, enjoy the ride, there's so much more than you can imagine down this rabbit hole to discover and enjoy. :)

Ren wrote "The Hunger" in 2015. All the songs and vids you're seeing were all written before Hi Ren. It was all planned in advanced, Ren knew he was going to spend most of 2023 in Canada getting treatment. That's why the Big Push split up. The only Songs/Vids Ren has written after Hi Ren, are the spoken poetry at the end of suicide, For Joe. Murderer acoustic version. King Dotta diss track, and of course Money Game Part 3, and the last one, Fred Again mash up.

You're gonna LOVE the fun nature of "Losin' It" (Fisher retake). Also think you'll love both versions of "Animal Flow", though the live version is superior in my opinion. (2 of my personal favorites in his rap library are "Power" mostly for the hook, bass drops, and especially the message, and "Illest of our Time", because it's just a solid, beat my chest, show the world what I got kinda song, start to finish (much like "Losin' It").

There is truly no correct order to listen to Ren's music - they are all unique and different. The only ones that matter are the Tales of Jenny, Screech and Violet. It is best to do those all together and in the correct sequence (there is a video with the full version). Great reaction 💜💜

the Hunger has many flow changes. If you check it, it's a Yes and flow. Takes the coming home route. He brings back all of the flows from before. Mono, to double to treble, back to single and around again. Check the flow.... He made a Monster.

Ren is such an innovator.: truly a generational talent that I am honored to experience in real time… he has an ability to blend recognizable elements from so many genres, makes it sound amazing while weaving his own instrumental, lyrical and storytelling skills unique to the mix … a formula for inspirational and innovative art..PS thanks for sharing a little bit of your personal journey, I’m also in recovery and it’s comforting to know that we are not alone in this struggle… I was on life support back in august after a relapse… wasn’t supposed to survive… obviously I did and I had mixed emotions and felt super disappointed in myself.. I got home after 2 months in the hospital and was in mental funk until a friend introduced me to “hi Ren”… I never watched a reaction video until this video… watching the emotional reactions of others gave me this incredible feeling of human connection and it was the most impactful experience I’ve ever had.. it pulled me out of my funk.. the ventilator saved my body and Hi Ren saved my soul…..

Absolutely jump around. The Tales go together, Money Game 1, 2 (lyric video) and 3 go togother, but you really can watch the others in any order and it really won't matter. Even Love Music (there are 4) can be watched in any order. How To Be Me, and Chalk Outlines are best watched Live, but with those tips in mind, you have a VAST catalogue to dip into! (Like his buskin gband The Big Push, just as good. OR Chinchilla... you'll see when you get there haha).
