Nobody can beat Hu Tao in a vape team. She is born for the vape. However Arlecchino can crush her in the other type of team. Especially if there are multiple enemies

I have used both extensively,but arlechino has ease of usage and access to more team comps, and at base c0 arle deals more damage and is more stamina efficient, whereas for hutao to be on the same level u need her crimson witch set,homa, and her c1, without her c1 using her is really painfull.

Arlecchino obviously can't do as much nuking damage as hutao but she can easily outperform her in uptime and overall dps
That for sure but most enemy would be dead by that team while hutao plunge team don't need to worry about it because the rotation is easy to use
Didn't you read the description on Arlecchino? Those first few seconds on her buff were her peak damage while gradually decreasing afterwards. In other terms, the longer/harder your enemies are the lower your damage input will be.

200K CA + 300K plunging atk for Hutao in this team comp or 1M dmg in 5s. while arlechii can't be together with my best girl furina and my best lady xianyun. just this alone I can stay my hands and wait calmly wait for 4.7 to come.

I say this as someone with C1R2 homa Hu Tao with like 35k HP, 50:280 crit (marechusse hunter set socits 86:280) and 150 or so EM, C2R1 Furina, C4 Yelan with elegy and C0 xianyun. My plunges are like 180K on a GOOD day. How in the actual hell are you getting 300k ???
Also how are your CAs doing LESS than your plunges? The CA multiplier is the higher one unless every plunge you do is a high plunge. Hello? This is actually just waffling and so cap lmao
Anyway, there are people with C0 Arle doing 300k vaped NORMAL attacks. She performs infinitely better. Also, she can use Furina. Just cause she herself can't be healed doesn't mean you can't run her with Furina still. So long as you use an AoE heal, you get your fanfare all the same as you always did. Theorycrafters really convinced people that she doesn't work well with Furina lmao

but if you replace Yelan with Mona then you can easily do 300K CA & 400-450K plunge atk easily.
with Yelan the trick is premature burst of yelan before using Xianyun burst. make sure your hutao is on her last breath. then do your thing and get 200K+ CA + 300K+ PA.

my main team :)
I am using Hu Tao for a long time with dragon bane r5 in double hydro core setup with zhongli and she do 60k vape like everytime in combat. I have also played with Arlecchino with white tassel r5 and 4 pc glad and she do like 55k vapes and 33k raw pyro dmg.
They both feel the same in terms of dmg/dps/speed whatever u say or rather I can say that both have pros and cons but since Arlecchino is a new character and have strong constellations and multipliers, she can definitely powercreep Hu Tao with some investment on her despite the fact that it took three years to powercreep Hu Tao but only in terms of ease of use.
Arlecchino --
(pros)
- Hypercarry with minimal support needed (will get BOL support in future)
- Best in Aoe and multi-wave content
- Have good pyro uptime
- NA spamming and auto-target
- Doesn't rely on reaction dmg
- Can fly in overworld (which btw looks very cool)
- Have powerful constellations
- Performs equally well with glad in comparison to signature set
- Easy to build even for f2ps
(Cons)
- Can not be healed during combat
- No interruption resistance (like get thrown everywhere)
- Have ICD on NAs
- Front-loaded dmg
Hu Tao --
(pros)
- Best double hydro core driver with flex shot
- Best in single-target content and boss fights
- Best one shot nuke burst (after Raiden)
- Have interruption resistance built-in
- No ICD on CAs and little ICD on NAs
- Performs exceptionally good despite of having no signature set after all these years(don't say crimson's witch she can stack only one stack, its for Diluc dum*@**)
- Cool dashing animation which can even ignore collision hitboxes
- Get buffed like every patch till now(hydro resonance HP% buff, Yelan release, Furina and Marechaussee set, Xianyun and plunge playstyle)
(cons)
- Require C1 and homa to unlock full potential
- Old constellations which doesn't not add much to dmg increase or Qol improvement(except C6)
- Relies on animation cancelling for maximum output(no spam playstyle)
- Serious stamina management problem if no C1
- Minimal Aoe through Blood Blossom dmg and burst(xiangling in International team is more better in Aoe)
- Require some investment like dragon's bane minimum to do dmg
These are just my thoughts and based on my experience I am not saying one is better than other and it depends on account to account. Hu Tao was my first 5 star character and is my favorite till now so it may sound like biased but I don't care.
But to me Arlecchino feels like Yoimiya with all Qol features, powerful constellations and stronger multipliers that Yoimiya doesn't have.
Sorry Yoimiya fans but your sacrifice is for world's greater good!!

Hu Tao only aged well if you also pulled Furina and Yelan to keep her relevant. This team with mona and what not only works for nuking. The second you have to do more than one rotation, that team falls apart.
Llmao try playing c0 Hu Tao in 2024 with only Xingqiu as your hydro. It's very cope.

arlecchino is much, MUCH better than hu tao. Her uptime is genuinely unmatched. You can really see it in Floor 12/higher health weekly bosses. When you play her w supports w high ER your "burst phase" essentially never ends. Also, this person is at 6/6/6, and her damage w her "signature" set is about 20/30% better with the mediocre sets people have been able to scrap together so far. In like 4-ish months when people have finished their godlike builds yall wiill see the vision.

I'm glad you feel that way. I'll stick with my hu tao though, she's spoiled me to the point where arlechinno is deadass useless to me. She might be “faster” but to me she's not even remotely as satisfying. Wait, question, why does speed even matter if you can full star them both in perfect time. 😭. I'm genuinely curious, because I've cleared just fine with my hu tao in perfect time 😭

Things i learned from the video;
Currently hutao is better in single target but not by a lot at similar investment in team.
Arlechino is better for aoe.
Note: for people who say xianyun hutao plunge is better for aoe remember the amount of investment it requires.
Hutao uses 3 5 STARS!! Xianyun Yelan Furina.
Meanwhile arlechino can clear abyss with just benny sucrose and yunjin or xingqiu.
Also we will get a new Bond of life support in next patch so lets wait ok?
Xd I agree with the disagreement, Tao's descendant team is over-invested and is still unarget since the critical hit when falling is only on one target according to Xianyun's passive, even so you already saw that Tao became known over time adapt to the gameplay changes and given that Arlechinno is the closest thing to a Tao but with different life mechanics, I wonder how much damage I could do with Arle's weapon, his set and the life pact support that will come out

Hutao xianyun plunge cleared 2nd half of floor 12 ( all chambers ) faster than arlechinno team by 14 , 16 and 9 seconds.
If I had kazuha and archaic zhongli then the difference would be mitigated highly.
Meanwhile arlechinno team cleared first half faster than hutao xianyun plunge by
6 and 8 seconds.
She lost to hutao at coppelia by 7 seconds.
For artifacts hutao had 4 piece crimson with r3 dragons Bane. Arlechinno had 2 glad +2 crimson and r5 white tassel .

Plunge AoE is 1 whole meter wide unless you're Xiao anyway. Anybody coping with plunge hu tao as if it fixes her lack of AoE (you literally need to still properly group enemies otherwise the plunge AoE does not hit everything)
And on top of that it takes more time to do as well. Time you could have spent just doing more CAs in the same window of time.

Cause i have it and tried a lot of build's and it appears that she's like navia she needs at least 80 crit rate so that build is actually good like it or not that's how her build works

Hu tao have only 27k hp Wich is the worst i ever seen she at least needs 30k so both still have some up's and downs
@@iTz_Mob_ My Arlecchino, I put the gladiator and white tassel, she has 73/212 talent 8 6 6, without the buff from VV and Kazuha, she gives 112k when vaporized with Yelan and Bennett, I think it's a good build for what I have. But unlike HuTao, she doesn't vaporize all the charged, its damage is gross in pure pyro, 55k per hit without reaction and better on multiple targets

If it's speedrunning, the characters are typically whale level in which case she'll have C2 so it.... Really doesn't matter lol
And for non whale speed runs it doesn't matter either. You mark, cycle teammates, swap to her and you're done. Literally no different than having to setup a nuke with hu tao

At this point, their dps doesnt even matter cuz the difference is in seconds. If you a new player, arle is the clear pick since its more fun to play and she's good at AOE which hutao bad at, if you old player like me who already have hutao, you can skip arle. Hutao will still be relevant until this game end (at least in ST). In AOE, neuvilette gonna win regardless.

Character on field time was different for the two setups, overall, both Hu Tao and Arlecchino had the same on field time, with Arlecchino being maybe 0.3 seconds faster
