This may have been the best tournament ever. At least IMO the best since the turn of the millennium. It had everything: Early round upsets by Vermont and Bucknell, epic moments like Illinois' comeback against Arizona and Patrick Sparks' ridiculous game-tying shot, and a well-contested title game that pitted two very evenly matched teams with completely different strengths against each other.
Such an emotional roller coaster ride of a championship season particularly when you consider the seniors on that year’s team were freshmen on that 8-20 squad
