Thanks for recommending this one Lou. The bonnet of this car is a work of art. I remember seeing old nighttime films of the 1953 Le Mans race with the Jaguar brake rotors glowing bright red, probably C Types. This car has a very angry sounding exhaust note. I still think straight sixes have the best exhaust note. As always, good show!
1052 Jaguar C is a collectors car .Let's put it this way I consider it the queen of the jaguars. You don't see any in the streets now Tjos is abery precious jaguar. Thanks LOU for sharing and showing this great car.I personally like this jaguar. Thanks LOU amd appreciate your hard efforts showing special collectors. Please have a nice day . Many regards
Very cool Jag! Great features! It does look awesome open, very cool engine and what a sound!!!! Hand built...impressive, must've taken a good while! Love this rad machine, n great video! Thank u!
They're great cars, I remember them racing when they were new. Despite what Lou said I think think that there a few left that still race. Fascinating hearing the American pronunciation of Jaguar and he called the driver's door the passenger door! Fabulous car pity that we didn't see it on the track.
Hi Tony, Happy to read you enjoy this "great car" :-) Just do what my wife does when she watches my videos, turn the volume off and just look at all the "pretty cars". Lou
HI TheGunfighter45acp, "Wow. that's an amazing car" Well said :-) I'm hopeful the next time Terry and I connect, we'll have the time to do a "ride" video :-) Lou
Hi Paul T McNulty, "wow" is a great description on how I feel when I'm around fun cars. I just enjoy cars, so I'm glad my excitement / smile shows :-) Glad you thought this one is "cool". Me too, Lou
No air cleaners on that dirty desert??!! Hope you don't drive it around that way. In addition to your Jag beauty, thanks for the saguaro background shots ... also very nostalgic.
I was bought up with Jaguar XK’s and many other British classic cars. Out of all these the XKC XKD XKSS must be the best Jaguars the world will ever see
Well it is interesting to see how the Jag's evolved. It is also interesting to me that the DOHC in line 6 was eating the V8's that it had to be competing against.
In 1952 the jaguar C Type started too, but all cars had to retire. Because of the "droop-snoot" called aerodynamic front nose which did not let enough cold air into the engine, so they overheated all. Sir William let all the cars be reinstalled to the original design. Mercedes won the race in the end as the last of the big contenders surviving with the 300 SL prototypes . Big Hero of this race was Pierre Levegh with the 4.5 Litre Talbot Lago driving 23 hours through without change and leading the race after the jaguar retirement, but he too could not drive until the end. So the 178hp 3 carburettor Mercedes Coupes and a Spider version herited 1. , 2. and 4 the place. th-cam.com/video/jSLvFbYaAyw/w-d-xo.html see Levegh there above fighting with his physics and the 220hp Talbot. German Commentator says : Levegh is muede, he is tired and the transmission of his speedo was broken.

Looking at the camera while talking to a guest is bad form m8. Makes the guest seem inconsequential, and it makes the interview feel impersonal. Just saying..
Hi Jan Christian Frodahl, I can understand your point, and yet it's unrehearsed and shared as is, so you just go with the flow. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Stay well, Lou
Jaguar C type, the car that pioneered disc brakes in racing. A few minor mods from original but a great car.

This C type even sounds like a jaguar! --Like the animal jaguar's growls and guttural roars and sonorous purrs. Jaguar indeed.

Hi Andy Hanovera, Thank you for viewing, sharing your knowledge, and adding to the story, Lou
you'd think the owner would learn how to pronounce Jaguar after all those years of ownership.
When you enjoy it enough to purchase it you just call it "My Car" :-)
👍👍
