The whole point of the mudman upgrade is it buffs nearby towers. So you spent minerals on your first golem only to make your defense worse since it no longer slows attackers and is nearly dead by the time any of your other towers get in range to be buffed. So you had to overbuild to hold the wave. This is a common theme throughout your whole build, 40%+ overbuilt which means you missed out on a whole lot of income. This results in less ability to create leaks, less time to get gas, and less income to put into eco, less gas, etc, it's a downward spiral. This is complicated by your incorrect ordering of speed and worker count upgrades. You spent a boatload on speed when you only had a few workers, it's a massive waste. The ideal spots to do upgrades are at 3,8,15,25 and 31 gas. Elemental is easily the best early game race, thanks to mudman slow + adept value. You started out great, just keep making mudman and adepts, that is all you need before you're maxed. Which should happen around wave 12-14. Build further up so you have room behind your mudman to build a chain of mudmen spaced about 4 grid spots away so that creeps keep getting slowed while your adepts pummel them with impunity. For example, 10 can typically be held with 3 mudmen and 6-8 adepts depending on enemy eco (how many leaks have there been) and mutators (and gas 20-25 with speed 3-4). Messiah are a waste of minerals until you're maxed. Protons and adepts can be added piecemeal as you need them. Messiah needs 465 minerals upfront to be of any meaningful value. Which means you needed to save minerals several rounds before you needed them instead of ecoing. And even then you trade damage for HP. If you had spent the minerals on adepts you'd have more HP and more bodies in the lane to absorb and spread the damage around in addition to the vastly better eco. Notice on the last wave that all your mudmen were dead before most of your damage (adepts) even got there? Mudmen aren't going to do anything to lvl 20 for you because the bosses have the same or longer range than virtually all your towers. This is where the mudman upgrade comes in. They should be behind your seer/fenix (again better to have more bodies out there to spread the damage so fill your lane with seer first before upgrading them to fenix) so that their attacks slow the boss attacks. This will give your violets and messiah time to keep their energy up so they can keep reducing the boss's attack in addition to the speed while your thalassotherapy can keep them healed. A properly eco'd elemental will easily hold wave 20 against any possible send, assuming it isn't 1v4. 0 leaks should never be the goal. The goal is simply to survive longer than the opposing team. Creeps only give you minerals once, sends and SS upgrades give you minerals every single round after you buy them. It's far better to have a few leaks to maximize economy than to overbuild and have at best a mediocre economy. Upgrading the SS gives you income and is vastly more cost effective than overbuilding your towers in lane to hold every wave and every send. For example, wave 14 is often a wave players will save to do big sends. It's never worth overbuilding to hold against their saved up sends. Much better to max eco and upgrade the SS (which will easily hold massive amount of leaks on 14 with a few upgrades). I almost always leak 14 because I spend most of my minerals maxing on 12 and 13 and wind up still getting more minerals than someone that held because my income is so much higher. You spent all that gas upgrading the SS and it was never of value to you. It's there as a safety net, use it!
I dont have enough for disciple on wave 9 if i get speed on 8, guessing they patched this game again EDIT: Maybe that game was one off, I had enough in other games, just waited for speed until after I get disciple
@@ReumiChannel ya that game was weird, cause in other games I have had enough money. I just wait to get disciple before speed now, still a great build!
