Can you use it without the need of color ink? My main issue with my current printer is that it requires color ink for it to work even if I only need it to print black ink.
Just got one from Wally world and it was easy to set up and it gets along well with my tablet,phone and laptop. I needed a printer for my monthly receipts and statements and this printer (3772) was just the one.And yes this one does take the 65 ink and thanks for the info on the 65xl..

Follow up. It does work great. But if you are going to be using it wirelessly from home on a pc or laptop you got from your company, make sure you are logged OUT of the VPN before you start the process. Took me a couple of hours to figure that out. I thought I was going to have to try USB at one point. But once you are done with all the setup then log back onto the VPN and it still works fine.
I was in need of a small printer, at the time Staples only had Canon910. It is the worse printer I own, never buy a canon again. Every time I tried to use it I had to fight with the paper feed, even using 1 sheet at a time, one sheet five sheets it just didn't work. I have it in a box somewhere in the shop, waiting now 3 years for canon to return my calls/emails. lol a real joke.

what is the smallest size the back feed can fit? I have to print enclosure envelopes -- 3" wide -- will it go that small?
Yes, it will handle envelopes that size
Shopping for one for my mother, she scans a lot of legal paper documents. Does this handle that well?

The same way you scan documents, except you would use the keypad on the right
How to do a driver update on this printer
You don’t need a specific driver update. Just ensure you keep the HP Smart program on your device updated. It will handle the rest
Would it be possible to scan cards such as my driver's license?
I doubt it will scan items that thick

I hate this printer so much!!!!!!! Its not easy to connect to my wi fi at all, every time is a pain! Avoid this at any cost!
