As a lifelong firearms guy (started as a wee lad), I have always had the 5 rules drilled into my head. Kicks in for anything with a trigger. Obviously modified for paintball and airsoft, but still a good base. The rules of safety are written in blood as they say.
I miss randomly choosing people to captain a side of walkons. Have them pick their players out of the crowd. Then I have one of the team wear coveralls and the other stays in street clothes. I'll suspend the surrender rule and tell them the win condition is when they shoot everyone on the opposing team.
Made the mistake of carrying a realistic paintball gun to a nearby field when i was 16. 6 officers showed up guns in hand . I was dumb as hell 14 years ago😂
Marker safety is always important!!

Playing paintball made me question what percentages of firearm incidents are due to negligence or friendly fire.
Friendly fire usually depends on the police department. I wish I was joking. :/
Life lessons wrap it up!

Sadly this can happen, especially if you practice drills at a public park.
