I've been suffering for over 20 years due to PFC water contamination. I was denied in 2003 and 2018 before the PACT Act of 2024. I just apllied again for compensation. If approved when will my benefits be calculated from? 2003? 2018? Or 2024. Don't think I can wait another 20 years.

I’ve heard that if I’m 100% P&T don’t file any more claims or give the VA any opportunity to open / review my file.
I am 100% P&T. I submitted claims for Basil Cell Carcinoma and GERD, both were denied.Long story short, they were placed under the wrong category. GERD should have been under Generalized Anxiety Disorder of which I am 70% approved.
The VA has, so far, covered my dermatology visits, treatments and surgeries for Basil cell carcinomas. But, can they stop paying by saying that my condition is not service connected? To this point in time, the VA has covered all non-service connected injuries and maladies at no cost to me of which I am very grateful. However, could this policy of treating and paying for non-service medical care change?
Example: What if my GERD causes esophageal cancer? Can the VA suddenly say: No, we’re not going to treat or cover the cost of this cancer because your condition is not service connected.
Even though I am 100% P&T, shouldn’t I resubmit these two claims just to make sure that they are covered by the VA?

The CCK lawyer said CCK gives a free case evaluation. What have you got to lose? I will be filing for the first time in a couple of months. I don’t expect satisfaction from the VA. I will definitely get CCK to handle my appeal, should they decide to take my case.
