That custom wood sign was cool with the trees and mountain. Here's an idea for the tires...take a couple of rubber tires from an old RC truck, cut a slit in the top of each and slide them over the wood sign for a 3D effect! Your new vest looks awesome...glad things are going well 😊
I bought 2 signs from the same place, and I was there when you were picking yours up, getting mine. He wrote down what to protect them with on the back of my bill. I will send you what he recommended
Eric: Do not, repeat DO NOT, put epoxy on anything that's gonna be in the sunshine. It will "chalk". Use multiple coats of a polyurethane-acrylic clear coat. A pint should be enough for that sign. It will look like new for years. Take care.
Remember, you can go into Blythe, CA (ugh!) which is only 28 miles or so away. Pretty big town, actually. Good luck on the solar…we are getting our’s done, too!
Wow on this video, the slides working, the wood sign, and last but not least the Nomadic Fanatic-themed travel vest. Love them all, not to mention the solar I can't wait to see what that looks like, actually can't wait to see what other upgrades you have coming, including the roof. Thanks for sharing. Love yah Nancy
Hey Eric, keep an eye on the tracks of your slide-out. If the tracks are galvanized and the cogs are aluminum, you could get a reaction from dissimilar materials, and corrode. Enjoy your videos. keep up the good work.
Always have the kitties in view or confined when operating the slide especially if they tend to hide like Tara. Found my cat underneath the slide when it was in.
I was even looking at the black slot on the right side, inside. Narrow, but I hope a cat can't get in there. I've had a cat be able to slide through a few inches wide slot before. Even at the top of the slide. I'd be inspecting for any spaces up there.
@SpiritLove722 I would never want to have one with cats. I had a cat that had an operation on a large leg bite. So, I had put him in a cage at night to protect him. I thought. In the morning he was on the outside of the cage. Only a two inch space at the tope where he must have squeezed through with his hurt leg. He made it through ok though.
Eric keep this in mind in the future, I think possibly the new gears may be problematic in the future if you are not careful. I think those composite gears are meant to be sacrificial to save the main tracks and slide components n case of a severe binding situation, Hope I am wrong and wishing the best for a long trouble free experience.....🙂
I love your vest though not as much as Opie. That was really funny. He didn't want to help you at all. Maybe he wants a kitty size leather Harley vest with kitty patches. Not sure about Tara. Quartzsite appears to be closing up for the year. Good luck on all your projects. Take care of yourself, Tara and Opie.
Curious why that would be? Doesn't the slide run off house batteries? Maybe the converter is charging the house batteries with engine started. Just curious as I don't know how that system works.
🇺🇸🕊️ 👍 We, we're told it's better, to start your engine before putting slide out /and putting slide back in. 👍 It's easier on your battery's while engine is running. Just some interesting information.💫 Have a beautiful bless Day. 🇺🇸🕊️ Great veido Eric.🥰 Nice to see RV prepper Wayne. Thank-you 👍 for sharing. Please give sweet fur baby girl Tara, and sweet fur baby boy Opie lot's of hug's and Kisses XOXOXO 🍃🇺🇸🕊️🌎🕊️🍃
I prayed that Jax's spirit would enter these cats..and the more I observe Tara fetching the bottle cap and Ope plopping down with affection and all the subtly and nuance of Jax....Jax is Alive and Well.
Eric, just had a scary thought. The way Tara likes to hide in small places. I hope you always know where she is when you open enclosure slide. I would hate to think if she was ever hiding somewhere under the slide when you put it in operation. That would be devastating. Glad you got it fixed.
FYI Be sure you know where both cats are before you move the slides. My cat MIMI liked to hide in the open space in and under them. I almost crushed her once. Terra is a twin to my cat. She passed last spring. Miss her still. But terra makes me smile when she climbs up on you lap and gives that I love you look. Travel on safe.
Hey Eric Way to go on the slide out that is Awesome and on the Big Tent thing I've never been to anything like that But one day may be and to see RV PREPER Wayne is always a treat hope and pray you have everything done soon
**Quick Slide Tip for you. Dust the gasket with baby powder or talcum powder occasionally. It helps reduce friction. Talking about the gasket around the slide. Don't know why RV dealerships don't tell us this
Hi Eric, I wave to you as i pass Q as i went to Calif and wave again and to all the nomands as i was coming back from Calif and back to AZ . I,m happy to hear things is going very well for you ,Those kitties of your are so adorable it so easy to love them.
Half expected You to say to Opie, "That is not a cat bed." Glad you got the slide out fixed. I bought a Schwinn cruiser from a friend for $50 I loaned to him and his wife. He partially restored that bike and could not sell it. I told him I always wanted a Schwinn and told him to keep the $50. I had to settle for one made in China, Damned if it is a Schwinn. You can't go any better.
Very cool on the slide, looks great, definitely adds some space. Lol, Opie; tricker. That sign is really neat, need to polyurethane it before it rains again.Onw day at a time on the updates. 🙂👍
Clear epoxy is not UV resistant. Use an outdoor rated polyurethane either oil based or water based. The oil will have the most shine. But for reading the sign semigloss is better as it reduces sun glare when viewing the sign.
Does Paul have a business of just helps his friends? I'm always looking for good RV repair places in areas where we travel and the Phoenix area seems to be a hub for me. If you wouldn't mind sharing the link if one exists I would be appreciative. Thanks, Pat
Slides can be a pain. a complete rebuild is about the only cure because manufactures do it as cheap as they can rather than putting a few extra bucks for a good reputation of reliability
Its good you are sealing things up, do put more caulk around the awning brackets behind the cloth and inside the cavity inside the rv. It will loosen when you travel, it will leak, I know. I dislike the awning cut into the side wall. Pain in the arse.
Please find out where the kitties are before you open or close the slide. They could be hidden out of sight next to the slide, and...uh oh. Just be careful.
I'm just a stupid land lover but you might want to put it on a calendar but those RV slides might need some lubrication every once in a while you might ask Paul about that before you get on the road
With all the RVs you have owned and completed projects on. Do you ever toss around the idea of “ I Can Do That” and take on the mission yourself? For a sense of accomplishment? Always something to do on RVs it seems
Good afternoon Eric Tara and Opie. Your RV is looking good 👍 😊 nice that you have good friends helping you with your RV 😊😊.. thats a good Wood Sign 😊to put on your wall in your RV 😊. Happy to see everything going your way 😊 couldn't stop laughing at Opie laying on your vest 😄 .Give Tara and Opie a hug 😄 stay safe out there on the roads Take care God bless you guys continue prayers.. 😊 Your friends Gerry and Pat from Amarillo Texas. 🍺🍺🏈🏈😻😻
I am glad you use the same BBQ sauce that I do. 👍😊 very nice wood sign. As a collector, we see things we want, but think about it before impulse buying, and if we really have to have it. Wish I could send you the Mickey Mouse stuff I have that you might like? Take care❤❤❤

Good to see Wayne, been a while since he's uploaded! Hope he's doing well!

Definitely should have got the "She-shed" sign🤣😂
So good to see Wayne again! I know he has had a tough couple of years. Praying for him.
Remember, you can go into Blythe, CA (ugh!) which is only 28 miles or so away. Pretty big town, actually. Good luck on the solar…we are getting our’s done, too!
Wow. The nomad community is amazing. Glad to see you're in good hands with Wayne. Can't wait for the travel adventure.
It's great to see Wayne, looking forward to watching you guy transform your Big foot.

Love your wood sign Eric, so happy for you. Bigfoot is coming together beautifully, couldn't happen to a nicer, more deserving guy.👍🏼
Wayne Rockin the Pantera shirt 👍😎😎😎😎😎😎
Love that sign! Get some Clear wood varnish from Home Depot. I made a last name sign years ago. My dad was so proud. 😊
NICE! Good luck on the solar install. Glad you are doing well and focused on the future!
I am Glad that You’re Slides are Working Again Eric 🙂👍
So nice to see you happy. Beautiful woodworking on your new sign. Enjoy every moment !!
Hey Eric, keep an eye on the tracks of your slide-out. If the tracks are galvanized and the cogs are aluminum, you could get a reaction from dissimilar materials, and corrode.
Enjoy your videos. keep up the good work.
Great info to know.
So happy for you, Eric!, That slideout REALLY opens up your living space!!!
Glad to see Wayne looking good and out of his cast. I do follow him but he doesn't post very often.

I wanted to see the washing video 😀😃

I agree
Eric happy for you, given all the challenges you've had over the last few weeks, glad those cogs finally came. enjoy

Always better to operate the slide with the vehicle running, much easier on the batteries and operates quicker and smoother

Hey Eric Way to go on the slide out that is Awesome and on the Big Tent thing I've never been to anything like that But one day may be and to see RV PREPER Wayne is always a treat hope and pray you have everything done soon
Glad you got one less worry Eric.Paul is a great guy.
So glad thing are coming together for you. ❤🐈❤🐈⬛
The slide works great. Just watch that the kitties do not get trapped as the slide moves in / out. Do you have a link tothe osurce fo the gears?
Eric, How about a link or at least some info on who made the aluminum gear for the slide out.... Others might benefit from your experience!!
**Quick Slide Tip for you. Dust the gasket with baby powder or talcum powder occasionally. It helps reduce friction. Talking about the gasket around the slide. Don't know why RV dealerships don't tell us this
Omg I can't stop looking at all that counter space in the kitchen. So much!
Hi Eric, I wave to you as i pass Q as i went to Calif and wave again and to all the nomands as i was coming back from Calif and back to AZ . I,m happy to hear things is going very well for you ,Those kitties of your are so adorable it so easy to love them.
That scene stealer, Opie! Omg our family just loves him! Good video, Eric!
Those eggs and bacon might be the only appetizing thing I’ve seen you cook. They look delicious
Eric, Eric, Eric whats the deal with all the wires surrouning the TV? You have had multple RVs. There has to be a way to hide all the wires.
Half expected You to say to Opie, "That is not a cat bed." Glad you got the slide out fixed. I bought a Schwinn cruiser from a friend for $50 I loaned to him and his wife. Awesome video,,
Love your vest and how you never forget Jax. You have a lot of stuff, but you're so organized and neat! 🎉
Very cool on the slide, looks great, definitely adds some space. Lol, Opie; tricker. That sign is really neat, need to polyurethane it before it rains again.Onw day at a time on the updates. 🙂👍

I miss Jax so much anytime I hear his Name, I cry😭😭😭
Looking forward to seeing/watching all the upgrades Eric. Always learn something by watching your channel.
Always an adventure. Thanks for sharing.

What happened with your Keto diet? Havent watched you in a while.
Hi Eric, I'm happy to see Dianna back. i was worried about her. Hugs, Louise
love your sign
I am very happy for you Eric. You are so lucky to have good friends like Paul who know how to fix things. Enjoy your time there.
Does Paul have a business of just helps his friends? I'm always looking for good RV repair places in areas where we travel and the Phoenix area seems to be a hub for me. If you wouldn't mind sharing the link if one exists I would be appreciative.

Lots of rain hitting SoCal this week. It will be in AZ soon
Slides can be a pain. a complete rebuild is about the only cure because manufactures do it as cheap as they can rather than putting a few extra bucks for a good reputation of reliability
RV Prepper Wayne....the man, the myth, the legend!
The guy that you bought the knife from, I love that mini Damascus steel knife. Does he have a website?
Love the wooden sign Eric
Its good you are sealing things up, do put more caulk around the awning brackets behind the cloth and inside the cavity inside the rv. It will loosen when you travel, it will leak, I know. I dislike the awning cut into the side wall. Pain in the arse.
Please find out where the kitties are before you open or close the slide. They could be hidden out of sight next to the slide, and...uh oh. Just be careful.
Nice work! Happy it worked out for you Eric.
So glad the slide worked👍 hugs to the kitties❤️
How does the plumbing for the kitchen sink work?
Flexible braided steel lines
Paul is a great guy
AWW HAPPY FOR ERIC 🤗👍✌️
Very cool sign perfect
Good to see Wayne
Peace
Eric remember where your cats are when extending your slide. they like to hid in those dark spots.
🟠Love the wooden NF Plaque! could maybe nail rubber toy-truck tires to to the sign to complete it. Might look pretty cool instead of just the bumps 🙂
Rv preper Wayne looks great have been following him since your early Florida videos. Good guy
Nice!
OPI really wanted to play… so cute, glad Tara decided to come out.
Congrats on the slide 🎉
I'm just a stupid land lover but you might want to put it on a calendar but those RV slides might need some lubrication every once in a while you might ask Paul about that before you get on the road
Way to go Paul! ⚙️👍🏻
OMG!! I live near Starved Rock State Park!!
With all the RVs you have owned and completed projects on. Do you ever toss around the idea of “ I Can Do That” and take on the mission yourself?
For a sense of accomplishment?
Always something to do on RVs it seems
Bigfoot Brandy is ready to spread her wings.
Good afternoon Eric Tara and Opie. Your RV is looking good 👍 😊 nice that you have good friends helping you with your RV 😊😊.. thats a good Wood Sign 😊to put on your wall in your RV 😊. The drumsticks looked yummy Eric. I agree I cook a lot of them myself.
Awesome content
Gotta have solar. Look forward to seeing your system. Should be robust.
I am glad you use the same BBQ sauce that I do. 👍😊 very nice wood sign. As a collector, we see things we want, but think about it before impulse buying, and if we really have to have it. Wish I could send you the Mickey Mouse stuff I have that you might like? Take care❤❤❤
Cool sign!
Good stuff see ya on the next one
Captain's varnish on the wood. No bottle cap cat toys. You know.
