Hi friends! There seems to be A LOT of comments about Luna the bunny, and not a lot on the decor of this video (which is what this video is about!) Though I understand the concern for animals (I have two little cats and love them more than life itself) I once again urge you to please think before you type. This bunny has been in their family for years, and like any animal or child, they know their pet the best. This bunny is one of the most loved animals on the planet, and just seeing 4 seconds of an animal on screen gives no insight into what kind of life it has. Just as I wouldn’t tell you how to parent your child or how to take care of your pets, let’s please keep the comments friendly and kind and about decor 💕
Alexandra Gater that true I was growing up with pets since i was kid i think made me active and social And I still love them I had white bunny i called her snowy
True but I'm afraid the bunny should not be carried like that. He isnt supported properly. I'm sure he's much loved. Criticizing the way he is carried is not an unkind comment... It's an observation.
Sometimes it’s important to tell people how to parent. If they are negligent or abusive then it’s everyone’s business. Children are not your property just because you give birth to them. And the whole community has a responsibility to look after them. This includes being a busybody if their own parents are incapable of love and care.
I love what you do .....but TH-cam is a public forum and you cannot dictate what people are allowed to comment on....when people see a situation in which they feel an animal is treated unkindly or inappropriately they can and should speak up! Simply because someone owns a pet does not mean they always care for them properly or humanely.. That being said - I do love what you did with this space!
I am no rabbit expert, but the people commenting here are for the most part very respectful and concerned about the welfare of the animal. I think they are indeed "thinking before they type."
Aw, the room turned out lovely! As always. I do so enjoy your makeovers. Can I, very respectfully, say one thing, though? Please tell little Jemma not to hold her rabbit like that, it's painful and terrifying to them. As a species evolved to the constant danger of being attacked by birds of prey, rabbits generally don't love being picked up. If it must be done, e.g. to put them in their carrier for trips to the vet, it's a good idea to support their bottom with one hand. Otherwise, all of their weight rests uncomfortably on their soft bellies and ribs. I know lots of people carry cats that way and some cats don't mind, but it's not a great way to carry a bunny, even if it stops struggling. I'm sorry, I really don't intend to be mean, but I just had to say something. I've had rabbits for years and am somewhat active in different rabbit communities, and we see so much casual or inadvertent mistreatment of these poor things simply because there's so much misinformation around. (Like the idea of rabbits being great "starter pets". They're not -- they just suffer a lot more quietly than cats or dogs if you mistreat them.) I mean no disrespect to you or Tania -- she seems great and I adore you. I hope this comes accross the way it is intended, as a respectful and friendly conversation. If Tania and Jemma have questions on rabbit care, a rabbit-savvy vet (non-specialised vets can, unfortunately, be shockingly ignorant on rabbits) or even the rabbit community on instagram can be good places to ask. And there's @lennonthebunny's TH-cam channel, of course. I hope Jemma and Tania have many more years with their beautiful grey bun, and lots of time to hang out in their amazing new meditation room!
You were very polite! I couldn’t stand to see that child holding that poor bunny that way. Bunnies are one of the most abused animals because they are silent. Abuse being the usual neglect when children tire of it. One positive thing is hopefully it’s not always in the typical cage that’s always way too small for rabbits.
@Ferd Ferd.D Do you know anything about rabbits? Why are you broadcasting such an uninformed opinion across every single comment on this video? If you took two seconds to google how to hold a rabbit, you'd understand people's concern. Yes, it's annoying that it is all people are commenting about, but it's not your duty to police it with your nonexistent experience and knowledge.
@Ferd Ferd.D If you google search how to properly carry and hold a bunny online, you will see plenty of information that holding a bunny that way is dangerous. It causes leg and spine damage. Even for a few seconds... I also know multiple veterinarians that say they have bunnies brought into their clinics due to spinal and leg injuries from being held that way over time.
We are so in love with our beautiful space. You are truly so gifted Alexandra! A magical mystical artist who transforms spaces with heart. We feel so blessed and grateful. Also we want to let everyone know that Luna the rabbit is super loved and happy. He has been with us since he was 3 months he loves to be snuggled and picked up and cradled and he even purrs like a kitty! He is a magical little bunny and he follows Gemma everywhere until she picks him up. We promise he is loved and taken great care of and his other best friend is a Boston terrier dog who he loves dearly too! Xoxox
Please share with the mom that the way her daughter is holding her rabbit can cause serious physical harm. The way the girl is holding the rabbit can cause spinal injuries.... EDIT: I edited my wording to rephrase what I mean- this comment is no way meant to bully or try to tell a parent they have "failed." This comment is to state that basic bunny care is to never hold a bunny this way, they need to be supported by their bottom.
@Ferd Ferd.D Hello! If you re-read my comment, you will see I did not mention that the bunny had been "tortured." I simply stated, as well as others have stated, that rabbits should never be held like that.
@Ferd Ferd.D I don't think this is a suggestion of torture, merely that this isn't the correct way to carry a rabbit. They carry a lot of weight in the back end and should be supported appropriately as a result every time they are picked up for any length of time
@@jojobinxy7542 at least you didn't attack like OP did! 🙌 Like seriously people, this is a DIY/home decor channel, not a place to let out all your frustrations. Be kinder please 😊

I agree. I have known a few people (including veterinarians) that own bunnies. They like to have all 4 feet on the ground. Holding a rabbit by it's upper arms could damage it's legs and spine. While the girl seems very sweet and does not know better, rabbits should never be held like that.
I also think bunnies don't like to be picked up in general - it feels to them like they have been caught by a predator. They prefer it if you sit on the ground with them and they can come and jump up on your lap if they want to. Also, yes if you do pick them up you should support their whole body. I have had a few bunnies and they used to be furious if we picked them up and would thump afterwards. :(
Rabbits don't mind being carried if they are carried from very young, but she should not carry it across the middle of it's stomach. You are supposed to hold the back feet in one hand with it's body against your body whilst supporting the rabbit with your other hand u derneath the front legs. That way the rabbit feels secure and is not stressed of hanging in mid air. Ask any vet and they will show you how to do it.
Wanting to jump on the top with some helpful tips on how to hold/carry bunnies. This advice comes from a place of kindness, not judgement. I do not think this bunny is being abused at all. Here are some resources on how to hold a rabbit with proper support: th-cam.com/video/mDQQbxz0Fo4/w-d-xo.html wabbitwiki.com/wiki/Handling (Has a great RSPCA image on bunny holding) While the bunny is not in danger/fear in the video, in general a bunny can kick out and break its own leg if they are not supported. And If you hold them in the middle like Gemma was doing, they can also go into what's called a "trance" which looks like they are tranquil but they are actually in a state of shock so deep they become catatonic. That bunny is NOT in a trance and seems quite comfortable, but we all want the best for our pets, right? :) Just make sure you always support the legs and butt first, and you're good to snuggle away!
Having got to the end of the video, I can see why the top comments are all about the rabbit rather than the makeover. The room looks fantastic, but the rabbit should be supported much better while being held. I’m sorry if it’s taking away from another fantastic makeover of yours. 😕
Loved how the space turned out, very Zen! and people commenting on the way the bunny was being held is just concern and not being mean with their comments, that bunny is so cute. Thanks Alexandra, loved this makeover.

I appreciate the way you minimized the busy-ness of the wallpaper and the many different types of seating provided. I came across this video today and am in love with what you did to this room. I have a small office/craft room at home and I want to carve out a corner for zen/tranquil/meditation area. This video has inspired me!
I love the giant eye on the wall. With the striped plant pot nearby, it’s such a fun and unique but simple piece. “I am loved, I am kind, I am grateful, I am blessed, and I’m free to be me.” What a sweet thing for a loving mom to teach her beautiful daughter. ❤️
I need a hammock like that! Also loved the ladder, I meditate daily myself and have several meditation shawls and headscarves...that is a really gorgeous way to store them!
i didn’t understand the explanation of why her very own books didn’t “go” with the shelf. leaving them on that stool felt kind of slapdash. and yeah, i wished the bunny wasn’t real after a few seconds of watching him get choked out 😩
Ferd Ferd.D you’ve been working hard, running around these comments for many hours. i hope you are receiving the attention you seek and dispelling all the anger you feel. peace to you!
There's natural light from the skylight, perhaps that's enough. It really depends on when the clients use the room to meditate. I had the impression that the reading nook is for the child; her mother likely meditates for longer than a child would do, so she has the choice to read.
@@FurnitureFan it shouldn't depend on when they used the room (winter, rainy days...). And especially for a child you want to be sure there is enough light whenever she reads. I just feel that the plant isn't necessary, especially if you have to take it out off the corner to see the sunlight once a day, and that was just a way to use an empty space. Space where a lamp would have been usefull.
I'm kind of obsessed with Alexandra's channel and have joyfully watched every single one of her videos many, many times. Her repeated mispronunciation of the word "tranquil" in this video made me squirt wine out of my nose. Thanks for the chuckle! :D
I Love that room! Especially the hammock chair. Gotta have one of those. But also the furry rug, the ladder with throw, all the cushions, the eye mirror, the sheers and the bunny! Who doesn’t want a bunny in their meditation room?
I love the idea with the swing!❤️ And the little reading nook😍, but I would have put more or a bigger cushion there and an cozy throwblanket so that reading not only looks cute and inviting in the nook, but also feels that way. The small one is really cute but not enough for confortable seating. 🙈 (at least in my opinion) I would love to have something like that, but I have absolutely no space for it😅😂😊 (And I was so suprised when I saw, that Gemma held a real bunny in her arms before I thought it was a stuffed animal! 😂)
Great space and makeover. Not sure the plant behind the swing is going to last there. Lol. Love the wall decals, just enough to add something special without being overwhelming. Love your makeovers.
@Ferd Ferd.D rabbits are prey animals and don't always show discomfort as a result. Evolutionarily speaking showing pain or illness means you're more likely to be eaten so a lot of animals naturally don't display outward signs until it no longer has any choice
I truly love this so much. Would love to see more videos like this, as they're great even for people who don't meditate but just want a cosy reading nook, hangout space or 'lady space'. The decor looks kind of boho minimalist chic to me.
Love the space and all of the decor! It looks very airy and peaceful. I want that swing and reading tent. Gotta say though, Gemma and her adorable fluffy bunny STOLE THE SHOW.
It's really nice but, even in a zen meditation room, it would have been nice at least one couch , there's nowhere to sit but the hammock and the floor...
Love all your decor videos. The canopy is great idea! Thanks much for an inspiring video. Looking forward for more. I am looking at every nook of my house to add the tranquility as suggested in the video.
I LOOOOOVVVEEE this makeover!! I'm a massage therapist/reiki master and I meditate everyday. This gives me some fun ideas for my zen room😍 Thank you for sharing this tranquil space💗
Absolutely wonderful and encouraging. Can see the point about the rabbit's back being at risk. Good job on the room. Such nice Mom and Daughter and BunRab.
Ferd Ferd.D it looks to me like the girl is pretty used to carrying the bunny around like that all day. The parents need to gently explain to her how to hold it properly so that its stomach isn’t constantly bearing the brunt of the pressure. It needs to be supported at the feet.
Love the moon phase design on the wall!!!! With the eye mirror it’s perfect! ALSO- poor rabbit. I’m a bunny mom, and let that little girl keep holding the bunny like that and it will cause severe spine injury.
I Loooooved this makeover! First of all cause it wasn't a typical room. So much cozy, I need that hammock right now ❤️. And I agree that the mirror is a statement. Well done Alexandra!!!
What a great space to work with! I really like the use of the wall decals for an accent wall. My bedroom is in need of a makeover, it hasn’t been done in years and I think behind my bed I’m going to look into using decals😊 by the way I did feel the room looks tranquil. And when I show my daughter that swing I’m sure I will be installing one in the corner of her bedroom.
For all who can't hang a hammock from the ceiling, there are also versions with a framework that can be put on the ground. Decorated with some flowers or fairy lights it looks great too.
Lots of teachable moments here. Support the bunny's butt. Don't include in the presentation if you don't want comments about it. Cause free-speech baby Studs in the ceiling are needed for hanging hammocks. Neutral tones are very tranquil. Eyeballs make very cool mirrors. The room is lovely ♥️
Beautiful decor it looks amazing !! looking forward to more videos ...and yes Gemma is stunning like her mom!! but what about how cute is Luna the Bunny ? what a gorgeous trio !!
What a lovely room! I could feel how tranquil it must actually be, you have such vision! It never occurred to me to cut wallpaper like that, it have given me something to consider. Thanks for the inspiration! Much love from California ❤❤❤

(And I was so suprised when I saw, that Gemma held a real bunny in her arms before I thought it was a stuffed animal! 😂)
This is the perfect idea for a space in my new home that I was unsure about! I love your videos. Thank you for making such awesome content.
wow moon decals are awesome!!! will use in my exercise room for sure. Thanks Alexandra
I’m halfway thru the video and still can’t stop thinkin bout the way she said tranquil at the beginning of this video
oh god she did it so many more times
Great space and makeover. Not sure the plant behind the swing is going to last there. Lol. Love the wall decals, just enough to add something special without being overwhelming. Love your makeovers.
The poor bunny shouldn‘t be handled like that
Ferd Ferd.D then you clearly know nothing about bunnies. Their backs breake easily. Those 3.5 seconds of being held like this are 3.5 seconds too much
@Ferd Ferd.D rabbits are prey animals and don't always show discomfort as a result. Evolutionarily speaking showing pain or illness means you're more likely to be eaten so a lot of animals naturally don't display outward signs until it no longer has any choice
@Ferd Ferd.D also, why is anyone concerned for an animal a prick? Your strong reaction seems interesting
Ferd Ferd.D they are pray and evolutionary speaking it makes more sense to „play dead“ than to struggle.
@Ferd Ferd.D you obviously have little knowledge of bunnies.
Alexandra hi - love the room. It’s calm and peaceful. Thank you for sharing.
Like your friend Tanya said, you are so gifted. What a beautiful makeover! Well done ❤️
I thought the bunny was a stuffed toy at first- poor little guy! Other than that, the "transformation" was basically nice, but bit underwhelming.
Sooo beautiful I want this room in my house. You out did yourself on this one. LOVE LOVE IT!!!
Loved what you did with the stickers wallpaper.
I truly love this so much. Would love to see more videos like this, as they're great even for people who don't meditate but just want a cosy reading nook, hangout space or 'lady space'. The decor looks kind of boho minimalist chic to me.
one of your best make overs. i'm glad you didn't over do it with the pom poms and made it more unique towards the person you're making it for.
I don’t meditate (although I deffo should) but I’m IN LOVE with this aesthetic 😍
😂🤷♀️ what's wrong with sitting on the floor?
Love all your decor videos. The canopy is great idea! Thanks much for an inspiring video. Looking forward for more. I am looking at every nook of my house to add the tranquility as suggested in the video.
Beautiful space. I would need mire books in my space but omg alexandra you did and amazing job.so love it
your make overs always make me smile, good job, love your work
I LOOOOOVVVEEE this makeover!!
Lovely video! U did great!! Njoyed the vibe of the space! Thanks for linking everything as always
This is one of your BEST video simply adorable. Gracias.
This is so me! I always loooooove your makeovers. Cute, cute, cute and uncluttered! I think I'll order those wall decals now LOL
ZAMIOCULCAS! That's name of the plant in the corner. She's right, it doesn't require much light. The decor is lovely. Alexandra is so talented!
Fairly concerned with how that little girl is holding her bunny 😕
Ferd Ferd.D it looks to me like the girl is pretty used to carrying the bunny around like that all day. The parents need to gently explain to her how to hold it properly so that its stomach isn’t constantly bearing the brunt of the pressure. It needs to be supported at the feet.
@Ferd Ferd.D How do you know it'as for a few seconds? That kid carries that poor rabbit like that all day and the mom too. Sad
Goodness they are the cutest and the space is amazing!!!!
Love the space, perfect chill and meditation nook :) Love the hammock! Great job!!
Beautifully done Alexandra as usual. I love hamacas and that one it is so special!
So cute! Love it! Super cute kid and bunny too ❤️ Both are obviously loved and safe!
I love that wall behind you! Actually thought it was handpainted until you showed how you did it!
I like the strip method of wall decals. That way a pattern will not overwhelm a room. Macrame swing is awesome!
This video was so right on time. I literally just cleared my space so I could create a Meditation corner. Thank you 😊
Beautiful space! You did an amazing job and gave me great ideas for our meditation room 🧘♀️🧘♂️🙏🏽 Thank you
That little girl is so cool and adorable!
Love the moon phase design on the wall!!!! With the eye mirror it’s perfect!
ALSO- poor rabbit. I’m a bunny mom, and let that little girl keep holding the bunny like that and it will cause severe spine injury.
My favorite accessories are the mirror and potted shelf plant. Pleasing to the eye! Perfect 💜
I love that eye.. beautiful job.
Yes, I loved it too, also how Alexandra matched the plant pot with it.
For all who can't hang a hammock from the ceiling, there are also versions with a framework that can be put on the ground. Decorated with some flowers or fairy lights it looks great too.
I love this! I have a spare room to decorate and this gave great ideas!!
I pictured a warmer space for a meditation room but I guess everyone has their own feel for what makes a space tranquil
Very beautiful! Well done. But please help the little lady how to hold her rabbit. ❤️
She IS the cutest and her bunny!! 💞💖
Beautiful makeover 🤩🤩🤩
Lots of teachable moments here.
Support the bunny's butt.
Don't include in the presentation if you don't want comments about it. Cause free-speech baby
Studs in the ceiling are needed for hanging hammocks.
Neutral tones are very tranquil.
Eyeballs make very cool mirrors.
The room is lovely ♥️
Please don't let your kids hold pets like this. Support their lil butts. Please.
once you see the decals as moustaches you truly cannot unsee it
Beautiful decor it looks amazing !! looking forward to more videos ...and yes Gemma is stunning like her mom!! but what about how cute is Luna the Bunny ? what a gorgeous trio !!
What a lovely room! I could feel how tranquil it must actually be, you have such vision! It never occurred to me to cut wallpaper like that, it have given me something to consider. Thanks for the inspiration! Much love from California ❤❤❤
I love the DECOR! ❤❤❤
The bunny is not (!) a toy
