@harrygoldun5779 We actually went to Skegness late 60's. We left after only a few days. Mom complained it was filthy and became sick. One f up of a vacation.
@harrygoldun5779 Most likely . We stayed in the apartments on the opposite side of the hiway. As far as I remember, we had to show the key to enter the main camp site. We had booked for 2 weeks but mom was so pissed we just left and went back to Farnborough.
So true. Dad took us up to Cairns from Sydney in the Kombi back in the '70's. Made some wonderful memories
Camping is a great way for families to have a good time. My kids still talk about it, even though they have their own kids, who they take camping!

I just give thanks to the Gods every day we don't have Butlins , the British Alcatraz where they demand you have " fun ". Yeah sure .
Reckon Butlins Filey would have been.a blast back in the 50's.
