    Thanks for the series! I have the Kedo kit 12v conversion since a couple of years in.... a drawer. Your step-by-step is really clear and will help to finally get the job done on one of my XT250s. I'll miss the charm of the fade blinking of all lights when using the signals, though. Also the 6V gives you a really really good reason to reach campground before night ;o) But safety comes before vintage experience I guess...

      Hi Ralph, and welcome to the channel. Yes your absolutely right there is a certain charm to the older bikes blinking slowly. But once you make the change, you and everyone that sees your bright and correctly flashing indicators will appreciate the safety improvement.     Thanks for sharing your knowlege so generously. I wonder why you didn't need to change anything within the alternator? Also I'm surprised the ignition module didn't need to be changed. Is the ignition system seperate from the lighting and charging system?

      Hi Peter, the original stator is AC so we don’t really need to change anything there as this what the rectifier does (AC to DC) the current output is also higher fine. Only the items list are required for a this simple but effective conversion.
      You could also make changes to the stator motor ( upgrade or rewire) but unless you have an additional load your going to introduce like more lights it’s really not needed.

      Hi Mike, thank you 🙏. Yes I believe you need kit 50550 or 50551, plus bulbs, horn, battery and blinker relay. Don’t use a gel battery. Have a look on the Kedo. Website
      It’s very similar to what I did for this customers XT250.
      Kits are also available on eBay

      @@justthewayitis This is a HUGE HUGE help to me. I've got a 71 CL 100, there's very limited resources around the 100CC hondas, and the CL was a very limited production-- although its basically a CB.
      Wondering if yoe'd be willing to go a little more in depth about finding battery replacements, as well. I'll probably go lithium, but I think if you'd give a bit more depth to your 6v-12v battery replacement spec sheet, I can manage the difference btw AGM and LI.
      Thanks again, seriously a huge help and probably helped me figure out a major issue with my charging system.

      The key is to measure the battery space carefully ( H x W x D ) and then see what are the highest capacity batteries you can find that fit that space. Obviously you can go Lithium but you need to make sure the charging voltage is correct.

      Hello, I need much more information about exactly where you are measuring this and are you sure the meter is set correctly for the place you are measuring. Generator is AC battery is DC
