OLE CROCK POT CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
8 ounces apricot jam
12 ounces salsa
2 lbs chicken pieces
DIRECTIONS
Place chicken parts in crock pot.
Combine taco mix, jam and salsa and pour over chicken.
Cook on low 6-8 hours.
Can also be baked in a 350°F oven for 45-60 minutes.

The quickest yummiest Chicken Crockpot Meal!!
OLE CROCK POT CHICKEN
INGREDIENTS

That jam has gone up to more than $7 a jar, last time I looked! One thing folks might no know is that the jam at Dollar Tree is very similar to that expensive version. It contains ONLY fruit, sugar, and pectin, just like the expensive stuff. Commercial jam, like Smuckers, contains high fructose corn syrup.

May I ask what size bed do you have?
Everyone in our family sleeps in a cold room, with small fans both for the 'white noise' but also because we like the feeling of a cool breeze. And we all wear nightcaps because the human head loses heat.
Always reminds me of the verses in The Night before Christmas and 'And mamma in her 'kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap'.
From fall to spring, I use my Instant Pot 4-5 times a week, I read a LOT more, and I do more needlework.
Bonne Maman are the preserves we use, and they have a nice recipe book too.

My son and I made a "Thankful" wreath, we cut out different shaped leaves, acorns, pumpkins in different colors and he wrote on each leaf the things he was thankful for !
Hi, Tessie. Your tree looks beautiful with the white lights and pinecones. Saving that recipe-thank you! I could really relate to what you said about realizing limitations as I am getting older. In the past, I was always going from sunup to sundown, and now, at 51, I'm finding that by 4:00 or so, I am just done for the day. That's been an adjustment, and I've had to be kind to myself and allow for that downtime. Hope you were able to take that time to rest, read, and refresh. ❤

In the same boat as you, Tessie. Too much stuff pops up, and I try to handle it all. Trying to plan for both holidays, finish presents, see if my husband needs to have a better Medicare plan, taking care of paperwork for a win (a new ebike), and so much more. Oh, and a Pomeranian and an ADHD kitten that is more work than a toddler. Did I say I am 60 yrs old, too? UGH!

This looks amazing, I've recently made something similar. 1.5 LBS chicken breasts, 1 16oz jar chunky salsa, and 1 packet of low sodium taco seasoning. 6 hours on low and shred, put over rice or lettuce.

Tessie, I see you use a lot of white meat chicken. Have you tried using chicken thighs in the dish you showed? Dark meat holds up better in long cooked applications without drying and it's easier to shred.
This chicken meal sounds wonderful! On busy days I love any meal that requires one pan, one bag or on dish! I'm currently watching this while waiting for my roll dough to rise, which are for tomorrow (Thanksgiving). I love watching your videos while I work!! Happy Thanksgiving to you all!😁

We sleep with no heat unless its really really cold and I also run a fan 365 days. I used to work nights and I got used to using the fan to drown out noise so now I can't sleep unless the fan is running.

We like to heat our home mostly with a woodstove. Our electric furnace gets used usually once or twice a day. We prefer keeping our bedroom window open about an inch at night unless it's bitter cold or too windy. The "feel like" temp overnight is going to be -11 celcius (12 fahrenheit) Southern Ontario.
Hope you get some much deserved rest to recharge your batteries.

Hey Tessie.... I thought if you when I went to thrift store today. I bought half gallon glass jar. Checked out clothes. two flannel shirts for $3.50 each. A warm sweater and a nice crochet ed top for church. You are such an inspiration!!!! We are doing Thanksgiving on Friday. Give me an extra day to make pies and do some sewing.
