I don't know where you bought that phone from but you got scammed hard. I don't even know if phones nowadays are getting cheaper because I recently bought the same model but newer. It's Redmi 13c 8gb ram 256rom and it works great. It's fast and responsive. I only got it for $115 from where I'm from. I don't know if it is cheaper because it's Christmas but you got scammed hard buying that lower spec phone.

bro, what can you recommend for a fast sd card because when I put a 256gb sd card slot in the redmi 12c it doesn't work, it said issue with the sd card is it needs to be formatted but it's slow i don't want to format SD card as internal storage and when i unplugged it and insert in another device no longer detected after i format on another device stopped working😢 , and it keeps rebooting my another device When I put it on the redmi 12c it didn't know if malware or corruption
