    I have just stopped your video (but will continue!). I am struck by your comments relating to plants not looking 'perfect' and that, as a reflection of life itself, imperfections are to be accepted and celebrated. I just love this view point and, absolutely, it eliviates the stress instantly! Thank you for stopping me in my tracks with this reflection ❤
    (with love from Melbourne, Australia)

      Thank you so much for the lovely comment, Grace! I’m so glad the message came across positive for you as I do believe there’s beauty in imperfections, especially with plants, as they are themselves out in the wild. It definitely takes the stress off focusing too much on every perfect foliage so as long as the plant is healthy and adapting well indoors, not every leaf has to be spotless.
      Hope you’re keeping warm in Melbourne (I’ve just been back from visiting) and thanks so much for watching. ❤️

      Thanks V. 😊 I felt it was important to keep it realistic and hopefully encourage other plant lovers that it's ok to have seasons where plants don't thrive for one reason or another.

    That was a pearls and jade pothos at the beginning of I'm not mistaken not a snow queen

    • @TheStyleGene
      @TheStyleGene  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your comment. 😊 It's a snow queen that's also known as NJoy in some parts of the world. The pearl and jade pothos is a combination of the snow queen and marble queen, where there's white specks (like the marble queen's) scattered on what looks like snow queen/ Njoy leaves. They're all very similar and can be confusing but here's a visual comparison between the pearl and jade and Njoy (called the snow queen here in Australia): worldofgardenplants.com/pothos-pearls-and-jade-vs-njoy/
      I might do a video comparing all the pothos if I can find a pearl and jade to add to my collection soon. 🌱

    Wooww beautiful plant tour...can you please suggest few indoor plants which are easy to manage

    • @TheStyleGene
      @TheStyleGene  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much Saumya. I’m glad you enjoyed the tour. The easiest plant to care for indoors is the epipremnum aureum aka devil’s ivy, also called pothos. You can find different varieties - golden pothos, neon pothos, marble Queen, and more, to fill up your space. They survive on minimal light and water so they thrive well in challenging conditions. You can also try philodendrons and peace lilies too. Hope this helps. 💚

    • @TheStyleGene
      @TheStyleGene  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much, Reetu. 💚 I give them all plant food once every fortnight. It's a liquid solution that's added to my watering can. Hope this helps.

    Finally, I found out what my previously un-identified plant - Ctenanthe Setosa 'Grey Star' - thank you 🙏🏽 my local garden centre miss-named it, which apparently is common.
    Great video 👍🏽

    • @TheStyleGene
      @TheStyleGene  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad to hear you’ve identified your plant, Autumn. 💚 It’s also happened to me where I was given the wrong name for a plant at a nursery so I always tend to double check because there are so many different cultivars and between labelling and general human error, it can be inaccurate sometimes. Thanks so much for watching and enjoy your Ctenanthe Setosa Grey Star! 🌱
