This was fantastic video, and once the action got started I was at the edge of my seat the whole time. I also really enjoyed the communication between everyone, I think it really adds something to the battle. I just wish I could give this video more then just one thumbs up. Well looking forward to the next battle of WG:RD with you and your friends.
agreed, epic battle on the left flank there, had me on the edge of my seat all the way till the end. I must say though, once you guys took Alpha, your advance faltered. Woulda been a good time to regroup, and get the rest of your rearguard up to the frontline. You guys still had about 20 mins at that point. Overall, awesome video, win or lose.
Hey Bolt, a good tip would be to learn how to queue your logistics to go to the FOB, then return to the front. Really makes a difference compared to having them sit at the FOB for 10 minutes or more!
I get why the lack of Recon at the start, you usually roll fairly light with optics but I guess you weren't expecting that flank to be utterly neglected. Out of your deck though, no idea why there's no AVRE. It would have made mincemeat of all that infantry in the forests. Also, I agree with below. Rokker is petulant and handles pressure badly. Great video, love seeing a UK deck!
dear Bolt! the battles in asgard usually decided by who win at the flanks and threat the enemy's spawn. as a guy who plays a lot of asgard 10v10, let me give you some advises (its a copy paste from what i told another youtuber) - " when playing on asgard's flank, always assume an heli rush is coming. its a legit rush, its purpose is to deny and capture if possible the far spawn zone. and as such always assume an armored convoy is coming right after them to make use of the mess created by the heli rush. the guys against you did it perfectly, i myself couldn't do it better. so how you counter them? 1. have a teammate, make sure he use preferably non-specialized deck and send in 2-3 AA choppers, dont mind if you lose them, they only their to slow the other rush until the ground forces arrive, dont over spend on them, many cases the enemy spam shit-load of AA choppers and you want him to end up with all of those points wasted on 3 AA choppers. 2. you take armored deck, no questions here, and go deal with the upcoming enemy convoy, dont spend points on regular infantry (unless a very good IFV) or AA (let your friend take care of that). 3. begin battle, your friend delay the enemy push, sacrifice his chopper if needed while your ground forces rush forward to deal with the upcoming enemy convoy. NEVER let the enemy take that spawn, if he do, the entire flank is gone in most cases (unless they play like idiots) and if you happen to be on the other side of map in this flank, similar thing, your friend rush forward with few AA choppers to scare off/delay any kind of heli CV insertions, while the armored column rush forward to lock the road to that spawn and contest the enemy ground forces. if everything goes as plan you secure hold on the point untill you can bring a CV (and for god sake dont put it in the open like those idiots) " in your case, taking a mech deck into open area is a bit risky, not mentioning leaving that impotent flank to the enemy, in this game the flank war was won because the enemy on the flank was only two guy with (i think) ussr general deck and they didn't exploited the success of his push before too many bluefor players teamed up to take him down (and generally they played okay at best).
I have to say most of the time the left flank on Asgard is defended by 1 player alone while 3 or 4 of the team cuddle together on the right side, and Bolt is lucky that he has in this game teammates to support him on the left side. I played Asgard very often and in all the replays there are usually 2-3 opfor attacking Papa (left flank Asgard) and nobody or maybe 1 noob is there to defend. So if you really want a challenge, go left and face the heli rush + armor push + arty spam at the same time :) It is so addictive when you win against all the odds. Good match BTW Bolt, love your videos.
The lack of your recon was killing me (and your units)Recon at the start would have at least given you a heads up about the tanks coming and quite possibly some yes on the aa
It may not have affected your play possibly and you style is good for you, but it would certainly help allies not on teamspeak to be able to possibly see a few more of the enemy units operating on your side. Sorry if you took it too strongly
Apologies, I think im in automatic correction mode after playing and teaching so many beginners, i always try find one thing they can improve. I will endeavour to remember you are by no means whatsoever a beginner so apologies again
Its not really a demanding game but your hardware might show its age. Might pull it off tho, esspecially if you dont play massive battles like this. My old laptop was a ok with around 30 to 35fps with worse hardware but I had a sata ssd and 16gb of ram and only played 2v2s in lowest settings and 720p.
Fantastic advance. BluFor had almost complete map control by the end. Though this video is evidence enough that Destruction is a seriously flawed game mode. This was an unquestionable win that came out in to draw simply because of a casualty count.
I still hope to see a middle east theme for next wargame, russia, iraq, usa, israel, turkey, syria, rebels, isis with everyting even assymetric warfare can work with this foundation.

It's matches like that one that really shows off how massive and epic this game is! Good round, so close!
51:47 That was a beautiful artillery preparation.
Great match despite all the leavers. Guess that's how 10v10s usually roll unfortunately.

I was on the other side, playing directly against you.
it was a nice match, wp.
indeed man, tnx for playing!
The a10 got Laserd a lot before dying
Not very much recon for blufor at the start
1:07:24 Buk spawning sounds like Buggs Bunny lmao

more UK coming up!

indeed you are lucky basterd with those Milans, usually they miss 90% of their shots.

Long video, but awesome to watch. gg
Why is it that Nolan sounds so much like Badger from Breaking Bad? :D

Personally I enjoy pushing infantry and mortars up through the town. Just saying.
Ah this game was such a next level but they went on making ww2 games ffs we need more modern WAR GAMES
I still hope to see a middle east theme for next wargame, russia, iraq, usa, israel, turkey, syria, rebels, isis with everyting even assymetric warfare can work with this foundation.
Yeah that would be cook
we cannot make those mistakes says, its a game! i know now why they call playerbase toxic
That's a draw.... ?
Aaaaaand that's why I don't play 10v10.
Yeah Rokker sucks ass. Don't play with that guy anymore :P
