‘’Back to freedom” , thank you! Your bedside manner with them makes me smile. Very grateful you got there in time. Little one was wearing down but was moving so much better after your help and encouragement. Be safe.
Poor youngster was probably unable to breathe properly for a long while with that line constricting him. And in pain. Thank you Naude for making it all better for him.
I feel the joy, the seal is saved!! Thank you Naude and all the heroes of Team OCN for another life saved! 💙🖤🤍 What an excellent day to STOP EATING FISH ✂🦭
That seal was not too tired to escape as shown by how fast it ran to the water after the rescue. These seals know who you are now. That seal hung back because it needed your help and knew that you would help. Sure it gets scary for the seal when you get within 10 feet as with most wild animals. But once it was captured, there was zero fight. It was grateful for your help in getting that line cut off as you can tell by the way it looked back when running towards the water. I have a bunch of squirrels and raccoons that hang around my house when they are hungry. You can see it in their eyes when they are hungry. I can also tell by looking in their eyes that they are asking for help mostly because they haven't eaten in a few days.
Well done my friend thank you very much.. sickens me to know how many fisherman just carelessly throw their lines overboard thinking nothing will happen and even those that do know what will happen still do it,,, human beings,, we destroy everything we come in contact with and that includes all life on earth..
Just watched your newsletter update. Great work cleaning the beach, and good to see so many locals helping out. Another great save, must be extra hard running those wet rocks.
I watch these, but it breaks my heart to see these poor animals suffering because of us. And, I am EXTREMELY GRATEFUL to the rescuers who put in such a terrific effort to help them!
I think they've learnt that it's better for them that they let you catch them, some in trouble know. Animals are not stupid, they see stuff. To me it's clear this one wanted to be caught, she knew she's gonna get help.
I could watch these rescues all day. Innocent and beautiful creature hurt because of careless humans. Thank you so much for what you do to help protect these beautiful animals❣️
Thank you for your kind words! While we’re deeply committed to helping the seals, we know our work is just a small part of a much bigger battle. Our rescues highlight the urgent need to address the root causes of ocean pollution-like our reliance on single-use plastics and the gaps in law enforcement and recycling efforts. By sharing these stories, we hope to inspire real change that goes beyond treating the symptoms and starts tackling the problem at its source.
These seals are the lucky ones we see getting rescued by OCN👍Unfortunately there will be so many that don’t. Love your newsletter great you’ve had a lot of support by local people on a clean up! Have been wondering for a while…….where is Denzil? Is he still with OCN? 🏴
I have loved your work for a long time, and tried repeatedly to send you money, but it doesn't work from New Zealand for some reason. I know you have no money but surely holding those weak ones back and giving them a feed would help them survive? Thank you for what you are doing. Love from the worlds worst ecological disaster, New Zealand.

When I was a child I live on the east coast of Canada there were seals as in the winter time you can hear them on the shore when they came in. Some fishermen says that seals will go after the nets as a net full of fish is easy catching for the seal I am not 100% sure if this is true but could your seals are getting tangled in the nets the fishermen there leave out for the fish. Also the east coast Canada is know for it's lobster and those traps are made of rope and I seen some traps get in pretty rough shape and break apart and that could lead to rope in the ocean. I am not a sea food eater myself but millions of people love sea food and till they come up with a better way of fishing there will be always nets and traps in the ocean. Keep up the good work

Oh thank you Naude. 😢 Monofilament lines can really do damage to any type of skin. I'm praying that the monofilament line has not done a lot of damage to the seal.
Not all things best come in twos 😢 that pupster was struggling but made it an easy catch for Naude 👍 2 snips and freedom was yours pinni 😊 cheers Mr D!!
Seal: I need help but I need to give the impression to my peers that I am running away. ❤

Love you guys. Loathe the shameful facts at the end about how humans are abusing the planet and our fellow life forms.😞
Thank you for showing everyone all the garbage we put all over this planet.
Less than one minute to solve the effect, decades to solve the cause 😢
😢😢😢
Another seal freed from human rubbish, to live another day! Thank you OCN crew!
Thank you Naude, a saved seal makes me feel so good so I can imagine how happy it makes you feel.

Not seals....
When you can't take deep enough breaths to feed muscles the oxygen and other elements in air needed for endurance, that is the result! Nice save❤
Just watched your newsletter update. Great work cleaning the beach, and good to see so many locals helping out. Another great save, must be extra hard running those wet rocks.
More than 50 people showed up. Wow!
Three hours later, the clean up team filled *238 big rubbish bags, roughly 3.5 tons!!* 👍😎✊
An incredible effort from just 50 people. I hope they are very pleased with their haul. *Well done* those chaps and chapesses. 👍👍
I also watched the Newsletter! Impressive performance from all of you - thank you Ocean Team 🙏🙏🙏 you make the world a better place 🥰💞💝💕💖🤩🤩🤩

Atleast it looked like a healthy pup bordering on megapup status. So while angry about the entanglement it must have been recent.
Thank you again for reminding me humans can be benevolent.❤
3,2k👍💯
👍
Thank you
👍
That would be me. You guys run faster than me. Lol
Thanks for the newsletter and all that you do in so many ways for the planet 👍💖💯
