@@johnmitchell2269 According to reports Inter are in talks with Lukaku's solicitor. Wether or not we get anywhere near the money we paid is another problem!
It’s quite obvious, it’s the evolution of total football. The modern game requires so much pace and movement, it’s squeezed out the goal scoring specialists. If you go back and watch even late 90’s football, it was a slower more tactical game.
This is why God sent broja to earth in the 21st century Imagine if broja was born in the 70s or 80s He'd be scoring 222 goals per season and football would've become more boring than cricket
Pace does not mean that the football is better or that it somehow produces better footballers. Spain won back to back European championships and a world cup playing slow football. Real Madrid won three Champions leagues in a row playing slow patient football. The idea that fast ping pong football is better is absurd.
@@bighands69 I would think both styles are just as effective. A slower posession based system is excellent for controlling and dominating the opposition, while creating a steady stream of chances. A fast high tempo system can create tons of chances, in particular high quality ones and afford forwards the space and time in the final third to do their thing
There is also a lack of passing midfield players in the game and dribbling wingers. There are lots of speed merchant dribblers that rely on space and space to break beyond the defence but rarely do you find wingers trying to dribble pass somebody with a mixture of foot skill and speed.
@@bighands69 I think there are still passing midfielders tbh but I agree with you on the lack of truly elite wingers who combine pace and technical dribbling. Salah is a perfect example of it. In la liga alone I think the only players who fit into that mould now are Vinicius junior and Danjuma. That’s how rare they are.
@@t.bo.e2487 Only Modric is remaining from the last generation and maybe De Jong today but beyond that there are no midfield players that can produce high volumes of passing that can control games.
I do not think it is evolution it is just a low period. There is also a lack of passing midfield players and a lack of dribbling wingers. Today there are lots of wide fast forward players that cannot dribble or finish. Teams have adjusted to that. I remember there was an era in the 1990s where there was a lack of wide forwards with there being central strikers and dribbling wingers. Modern Attacking half are good at getting into the box to score but they are not good at breaking down defences with a through ball.
@@messigoh6061 Modric and De Jong are the only passing midfield players in the modern game. I am not talking about making the big 40 yard pass to a strikers feet or splitting open a defence. I am talking about high volume passing of the ball and controlling games by that passing which is rare today. Very few wingers today are true dribblers they are more like wide forwards that can run with the ball but in terms of speed and pace. They need balls to be played in behind the defence. An example of that would be somebody like Kylian Mbappé who is a skillful player but is not trying to run dribbles through a defence. A player like Messi would have been able to play that winger role if he desired as he was good at dribbling but he was so good overall that he got used in another capacity.
With PSV set to lose Sangare this season, tifo and the athletic decided to team up to look at sensible replacements. The obvious choices would be Kante and Rice, but they would never play in Holland and are too expensive, so in tifos opinion the most sensible choice to replace Ibrahim Sangare would be.......... Ibrahim Sangare.
It's curious how Tifo always needs to state that they overlook the Portuguese League, but still they continue to come here for more and more content, over and over again.
Love the tifo videos regarding players please continue them! But one thing missing is a look at MLS or South American clubs (as I don't know too much) i think Josef Martinez at Atlanta has been brilliant last few seasons but nobody mentions his goals (not as prolific this season though) if you could do more content like this that would be great!👍
I think that you could also add Zirkzee, Pavaldis and bayo. Two of whom are playing in easier leagues granted, but continue to put up good stats and have shown glimpses of great potential. And Bayo has managed to impressed with the burden of playing for a side with limited ability like clermont
goalkeeper is the last remaining position that doesnt require superior technical ability and tbh within the next 10 years i can see a madman like pep taking an outfield player with only basic goalkeeper training in goal to become completely pressing resistant

All things considered, United could do with one of these. Probably won’t be Nunez if he wants champions league and Benfica want £100m for him, but there’s a few who would be a good option as a Greenwood/Ronaldo/Cavani replacement.

To not include Osimhen and Abraham doesn't really make sense considering they will most likely be the two biggest transfer fees this summer it would of made sense if you done we are not doing any strikers who have recently joined one of europes top 10 teams as they would be unlikely to leave
Players having joined a club within 1 year are unlikely to leave… even after a big debut season at a bigger clubs despite many transfer rumours. Martinez/Haaland are obvious examples in recent years
@@Thealan93 Yeah I'm aware of that that's why I mentioned if they wanted to add such a rule a better option would have been to not add any players who have recently joined a top 10 European club which would have been the situation for haaland and martinez so they wouldn't of been included in the list and as I said before to not include the two strikers in this category who are likely going for the two biggest fees this summer doesn't make a great deal of sense

Suarez, Cavani, Aguero, Benzema, Lewandowski, Messi and semi-elite strikers (at least at one point in their career) like Mertens, Higuain, Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa.
CFs role has changed. The inside forwards and inverted wingers are contributing much more goals nowadays. At the elite level I only see Haaland taking over the mantle from guys like Benzema
Glad to see Scamacca getting some attention. First heard of him through Football Manager 🤣 and as you do start taking an interest in your FM club. He looks a fantastic player with a very bright future. Hope to see him at Spurs one day 😁. Keep an eye on Raspadori as well 😉
If city get haaland I feel like De Bruyne will be that person. That combo would be the silver lining to the end of a competitive league for at least a couple seasons lol
It is because we use 4 3 3 now and wingers are required to be inverted. So they have to be able to cut in and attempt to score and not just provide crosses

That being said I think Scamacca is slept on, when I watched your sensible transfers for Arsenal with him in it I started to watch him more and I do like him and hes growing on me the more I see of him
How ya feeling?
Happy for the Awoniyi shoutout. I'm not sure what his ceiling is but almost every time I watch Union I'm reminded he is no joke
as an albanian i am impressed with how good you pronounced Broja's name that was really perfect for a non-albanian speaker
This video is just beautifully illustrated. Great work guys!
Tifo asking the important questions. Great content.
As a Chelsea fan these are the strikers to be looking at to lead our line next season. Think Broja should be given the chance and maybe another from this list. Lukaku is going so two young hungry center forwards would be great.
They should definitely bring Gallagher and Broja into their squad next season
Broja has become so lazy while on loan with Southampton, I know he's only on loan and this is the end of his loan spell but his dip in form has been drastic. Hopefully he's better for you
@@nathanb4306 his form has dipped but he is young ... I think he is a better option than Lukaku at the moment
Who is signing Lukaku then and for how much?
@@johnmitchell2269 According to reports Inter are in talks with Lukaku's solicitor. Wether or not we get anywhere near the money we paid is another problem!
It’s quite obvious, it’s the evolution of total football.
The modern game requires so much pace and movement, it’s squeezed out the goal scoring specialists.
If you go back and watch even late 90’s football, it was a slower more tactical game.
This is why God sent broja to earth in the 21st century
Imagine if broja was born in the 70s or 80s
He'd be scoring 222 goals per season and football would've become more boring than cricket
@@christianopulinaldo8319 who
@@christianopulinaldo8319 defensive rules in 80s 90s was were very lenient he wont have survived
4:10 - it's wariness, guys, as in being wary (aware). Not weariness, as in weary (tired).
I actually mad how much strikes in today's game have changed
It's actually depressing. There's a major scarcity of elite strikers
@@jamiemyers988 no most strikers are just inside towards.
Ronaldo and Messi were winger's in their peak
They’ve gone from playing 2 strikers to 1, to effectively playing false 9s. My favorite players have been eliminated from the team: no.10 and no.9
@@007Fusiion 😭
@@tuneb6100 that's exactly my point, the game is poorer because of this
Lorenzo Lucca is my pick for the future. And yes that is because he is a killer in my FM save lol
There is a severe lack of strikers. I think ballacks comments on van dijk summed it up well.
There is also a lack of passing midfield players in the game and dribbling wingers. There are lots of speed merchant dribblers that rely on space and space to break beyond the defence but rarely do you find wingers trying to dribble pass somebody with a mixture of foot skill and speed.
@@bighands69 i think there is a lot mf spamming through balls but dont know bout wingers tho
@@bighands69 Smith Rowe is refreshing.
@@t.bo.e2487
Only Modric is remaining from the last generation and maybe De Jong today but beyond that there are no midfield players that can produce high volumes of passing that can control games.
I guess it's not Europe yet but City signed Julian Alvarez who just may become the next Aguero.
It’s the evolution of football there’s only a handful of actual out and out strikers. But most teams play with a false 9.
Modern Attacking half are good at getting into the box to score but they are not good at breaking down defences with a through ball.
actually very few teams play with a false 9. dropping between the lines to receive and link up play doesnt make u a false 9
@@bighands69 lack of passing midfielders and dribbling wingers? u sure u watching football mate?
@@bighands69 what there are alot of skillful wingers in todays game
@@messigoh6061
Modric and De Jong are the only passing midfield players in the modern game.
Osimhen signed for Napoli 21 months ago and is in his second season
This is essentially an FM wonderkid list.
I MISS THIS FORMAT OF VIDEOS! Was why i subscribed when i first started watching the channel
There's also Eddy Nketiah at Arsenal. Very young and with amazing potential.
Graphics are on point. Big up Tifo 🔥
Bayern Leverkusens Patrick Schick deserves a mention. 22 goals in 25 games😳
As well social media is the problem too because they put more pressure on the young players
The younger the players are though, they will be of the generation that grew up with social media. It’s the equivalent of newspapers.
Video idea: PSV is really likely to lose the goat Sangare to the premier league for serious money. Who should be his replacement?
With PSV set to lose Sangare this season, tifo and the athletic decided to team up to look at sensible replacements. The obvious choices would be Kante and Rice, but they would never play in Holland and are too expensive, so in tifos opinion the most sensible choice to replace Ibrahim Sangare would be..........
Ibrahim Sangare.
Patrick Schick, if he wasn’t 26, would have made this list
"We are not sure what Charles De Ketelaere's position is going to be" man we are not even sure who that is
Why dont talk about Gouiri, the Benzema Regen ?
It's curious how Tifo always needs to state that they overlook the Portuguese League, but still they continue to come here for more and more content, over and over again.
The quality of these videos is impeccable
We've been spoilt by Ronaldo and Messi. There's your short and sweet answer.
I think you should include Osimhen in this one, I know he joined Napoli this season, but I still believe he will be sold in the summer.
If he joined Napoli this season how's it possible he's playing his second season?
@@brunolondinese5857 ?
@@messigoh6061 he didn't join Napoli this season, so I know know why he doesn't qualify for this list
For once, I do actually like this kind of Tifo Football video. More like this please.
Also, are you the premier league's new scouting system?
If looking for goal scorers, why limit yourselves to number 9s ?!
Alot of goals come from wide areas now !!
Love the tifo videos regarding players please continue them! But one thing missing is a look at MLS or South American clubs (as I don't know too much) i think Josef Martinez at Atlanta has been brilliant last few seasons but nobody mentions his goals (not as prolific this season though) if you could do more content like this that would be great!👍
Might as well make videos on korean and Montenegrin clubs mate. They’re a much lower level of quality. As an American, I’m embarrassed by the MLS.
@@Interlinkedczar ...your grammar's embarrassing "mate"!
So excited for the future of football in terms of players, alot of Goalscoring talent coming our way!
Mbappe to Madrid
Haaland to City
Nunez to United
Scamacca to Arsenal/Newcastle
When talking about a true 9 I think of Luis Suarez
I think that you could also add Zirkzee, Pavaldis and bayo. Two of whom are playing in easier leagues granted, but continue to put up good stats and have shown glimpses of great potential. And Bayo has managed to impressed with the burden of playing for a side with limited ability like clermont
goalkeeper is the last remaining position that doesnt require superior technical ability and tbh within the next 10 years i can see a madman like pep taking an outfield player with only basic goalkeeper training in goal to become completely pressing resistant
What? Osimhen is in his 2nd Napoli season. He should be included
Yeah he's under 24 and in his second season, I don't get it either
This just shows how football is lacking no. 9's and the funny thing is Arsenal fans think we can just easily get one like they're not in demand
There are number 9 and 10 players but they are not easy to find.
@@bighands69 the ones you find who are outside the usual media voices and rumor mills are a risk to begin with, and any other striker who's "good" but not "world-class" like Osimhen are waaaay overpriced
There are a lot of big forwards in this video, is this a reflection of the greater emphasis on ball playing centre backs who aren't necessarily as physical as they used to be?
I really like Armando Broja. Quick, good usage of physicality, seems smart too. Hope he works on it.
All things considered, United could do with one of these. Probably won’t be Nunez if he wants champions league and Benfica want £100m for him, but there’s a few who would be a good option as a Greenwood/Ronaldo/Cavani replacement.
Again another in-depth analysis , true and very precise, I was thinking why Armando Broja on loan at Southampton was not on the list but I guess you save the best for last, Chelsea need to make decision and real fast .
Serie A is farmers league, no players should be included.
Good scouting shortlist for a basketball team also.
I miss the previous intro with the athletic.
A fan from Nigeria. 🇳🇬❤️
The description of Nunez is literally a mirror image of Forlan
Great Video love Tifo 💘 ❤ 💕
Yo tifo make a sensible transfers vid for this channel
After the departure of Irish guy they've massively struggled for a replacement.....
Do they need to spend 10 million on a high potential presenter or buy an out of contract veteran like Chris kamara?
The worlds collide
Bro make better videos
the sheer volume of elite 1987/88 born forwards is probably one of the best in the history of football, I'm sad that they're coming towards the end of their careers.
That is just an excuse.
@@bighands69 Excuse for what ? The quality of strikers have dropped and systems are more prevalent

Could you do this kind of video with fullbacks, defensive midfielders or Central defenders?
Hi
As an Arsenal fan this video is so fascinating
Benfiquistas: "Don't mention Darwin Nunes! Please don't."
Tifo: "#1 Darwin Nunes"
Glad to see Scamacca getting some attention. First heard of him through Football Manager 🤣 and as you do start taking an interest in your FM club. He looks a fantastic player with a very bright future. Hope to see him at Spurs one day 😁. Keep an eye on Raspadori as well 😉
Endrick is gonna be the real deal
start of video: where is Konate? Also me at the end of video: KONATE ON THE CORNER DELIVERED BY ROBBO!
I miss the Beckham - Van Nistelrooy combo. Now wingers just want to shoot and strikers are forced to be 10s
If city get haaland I feel like De Bruyne will be that person.
That combo would be the silver lining to the end of a competitive league for at least a couple seasons lol
Beckham is now trent
Ajax under Ten Hag loved to cross the ball and use width in the classical sense.
It is because we use 4 3 3 now and wingers are required to be inverted. So they have to be able to cut in and attempt to score and not just provide crosses
yep Beckham would probably be a wing back these days
I think Alexander Isak should be on a few bigger clubs radar too.
Bidding war for Nunez coming soooon
Would love one of these for midfielders
If only greenwood could stay the f*** out of trouble he’d be the striker for Utd
As a Bayern fan I would like to see our club sign Darwi Nunez. Given Lewandowski's contract situation, I think it's better to think for the future in the long term.
Can you put meters too?( For Europeans)
"And he plays with his head up" damn I wish that could be me 😭
What about raspadori?? He is a quality player
I’m glad that lost includes proper number 9s and not wide forwards.
I would absolutely love for you guys to do a video about what we mean nowadays by a 'world class' player. What exactly is it that makes a world class player?
Not a single La Liga player mentioned? I feel that at least Getafe's Enes Unal could have been namedropped.
He's not close to some of the names mentioned. Perhaps Isak
can you do a video called "is the number 9 dead?" would really like to see that style of question asked
This looks like a shopping list for a certain club looking for forwards
