8:57 - It happened to me a lot when I was still playing it and it was very annoying. For fun, I tried to collect all possible coins on each map to see if it was possible to collect at least 150 on at least one of them. Lethal Lava Land was hell to do it. And I also wanted to see if it is possible to collect 100 coins for the fight with Bowser - when he breathes fire, sometimes coins appear. But I've never been so involved in it so after a short time I got bored of it.
Cheese, what is your favorite SM64 level/map? Not in terms of speedrunning, or how easy/quick it is. Just in general? For me I always loved big boos haunt. The atmosphere is just awesome in that map. Always liked it, ever since I was a kid. I remember first discovering the stage and thought it was the coolest.
Well, my favorite video game race ever was still the 4-way Super Metroid race at SGDQ 2014! Look how close those runners were right up until the very end, it was INSANE!! I think Speedrunning head to head could be an esport. World Records are nice, but the idea of racing someone to the finish is just as skillful and exciting (AND in cheese's case has the potential of achieving world records in the process) Kinda like any type of racing in real life sports.
