I would really live a version of rimworld where the tech tree doesn't progress into space tech but instead progresses slowly though tribal tech peaking with wagons, better leather armor and weapons that use.... maybe copper
This is Orange's backstory. He might've been mauled by a bear as a child but someone scooped up his remains at some point and ended up cloning him with the bear DNA from its saliva left behind on Orange which turned him into the ferocious cannibal he is. Remember when he maimed another colonist with a bite? That's the bear DNA, obviously.
Orange's death reminded me of that time I tamed an alpaca and before the "your colonist has tamed an alpaca (73.4% chance). it has been designated alpaca 3." message had even started to fade from the top left corner, it got eaten by a warg. F
Just wanted to say thanks for all the stream VODs that keep me company whenever I'm home alone. I struggle with paranoia day-to-day and auditory hallucinations when waking up, so having your voice in the background to ground me really helps :)
always always always strip prisoners. give them crappy tribalwear to wear via a little shelf in their prison, otherwise they can die easily and lose a full set of gear

Besides hemogen farm, you can also draw blood from people as a medical procedure to create hemogen packs. Those can be used to feed a vampire or as conserves for emergencies, although that's not really useful in this game. The only situation in which a blood transfusion would make sense in Rimworld is when multiple people are down and you need them to be up and running fast or else your colony collapses or gets overrun
I keep all the kids in a safe in compound area. had a couple kids get jumped by raiders. thankfully neither died, got kidnapped or suffered permanent injuries. could easily have been much worse for them. had a series of social fights break out between a few of the kids. one of the kids lost an arm. little savages beat the hell out of each other with their bare hands. after I got done laughing at the absurdity of it, I queued up the first child bionic of the colony. Kid grew up to be a monster in combat and first-rate chef/surgeon. Hemogen farming seems to be a good way to keep the prisoners in line. Trains up all the doctors and the troublemakers are conked out half the time. Watch out if you catch a Hussar. They don't seem to care.
yeah the only real downside to the current update is the animal aggro. They target colonists inches away from them, dodge all traps, turrets refuse to target them. Half the time it's just GG for whoever was targeted.
I learned about children loving to just freakin go to lie on grass to get eaten by wildlife/killed by raiders/stomped to death by angry muffalo the hard way and I tend to make an "inside base" zone for little kids now lol.
at 4:25, is it a mod that has the pawns image appear when you're trying to place them? (you know, the green glowing icons of their position to move to?)
I think the reason there is a predator symbol is so you can check the Wildlife tab and check for dangerous predators and actively exterminate them. That's what I do. I take several pawns out to do it rather than trusting one hunter to pull it off.
Is it just me or is everyone freaking terrible in the game now? I have a Colonist with 7 Construction and he fails things super often, like even just laying bricks or building walls. It's making it more difficult which isn't entirely unwelcome but I'm not sure if it's intended behaviour.
That grizzly bear was just dumb. I mean, doesn't it know that there is hardly any meat on a kid? Should have let him grow a little bit longer before snacking 😅
I know that the Rimworld raw plant food is in two cases.... I have seen it all zoomed in-like. ...... But my brain keeps seeing them on a slice of bread. I hate it. I really really hate it.

I just bought rimworld while i have had sos for a while now. Rimworld is far more polished and less grindy I find. I couldnt really appreciate the research mechanic in sos so im enjoying how things are done in rimworld far more. Very similar games but overall rimworld i think is better.

I know this is a year old, but the disease's make for good content. You misunderstand what people want to see. Tragedy and disaster are king for content, and anything that increases the odds of something terrible happening will be rewarded in the form of greater viewer ship.
