If you join all how do I make the texture?
I followed this for the diamond portion and it came out great, thank you so much! The only problem I had is that no matter what I did the merge step near the beginning did NOT work.
*edit* Forgot to mention, I don't know if I missed you saying it, but Node Wrangler needed to be enabled.
Yeah I have a blender for secondlife playlist, I try to mention the addons every time but I'm not perfect. I have a discord in the about section. Im always there for help
i cant get the mix shader to pop up at all I can only get it up manually every time i click on it it automatically connects to material output instead of the shader
I think ctrl right click sends the node you selected to the material output for viewing, but holding ctrl and dragging from one to another with right click creates the mix shader. Hope this helps. I'm not at the computer to test it and it's muscle memory so dont quote me. Also this is a node wrangler add-on function, make sure you have it on in preferences.
When I try to bake the diamond I only get the option to “bake indirect lighting” or “bake cubemap only”

I don't know if you said ctrl+T or ctrl+P at 1:08 but it's not working so I dunno what blender changed in the new version but it's not doing anything I can't get past that step in adding a background
Ctrl T, you will need to have node wrangler turned on in you addons for this funtion to work
Edit, preferences, add-ons, search node.
ok I got around it and finished the tutorial thx! this is the first thing I've ever successfully made in 3D software :)

You need node wrangle add-on enabled for it to work
