I understand that CAT tools are not made by CAT but outsourced to some factory in China. That’s not a bad thing in itself as China will make anything to the price that the customer wants. To me, rightly or wrongly, I won’t buy any electric tool that: - B&Q sells - is a brand unknown to me I only have one Jigsaw, for instance, and it has to work consistently. I could potentially save £50 on the cost price of a CAT or whatever and lose all that and more when I’m in the middle of a job and it fails.
The big important thing about this CAT line of tools is that it has a "world's first" graphene 5Ah battery. Looks like this kit sent to you has everything *except* that battery? Or is it in there somewhere?
The batteries look like the ones from Bosch Professional. I knew there were 25 brands in their „AmpShare Alliance“, maybe CAT jumped on that train, too?
I can’t imagine using that big case for just a drill. Way too bulky to toss into my pack out kit. It’s just extra packaging I’m paying for only to throw away.
@@bobfossil7890 Real Kress is defunct from 30 april 2018. Since then Kress is just a rebrand of Worx, made in China. Some milling motors and other special devices made before by Kress, are still made by AMB-ELEKTRIK GmbH.
Yet another 'badged' range of power tools. No mention of price, service facilities (if any) and warranty details? Possibly, as with other badged names, a limited warranty where a product is replaced, followed by the only option of throwing away outside warranty? I do hope I am wrong.

It's semi WORX. Positec tools corporation in China made it.

These are made by the same company that makes Worx.

Would be interesting to see how it compares to the current year erbaurer / einhell
Einhell are cheap crap, I have the Cat cordless hammer drill and the impact driver and am very happy.
Wonder is making them? They look very similar to the JCB range and Stanley fatmax
Same company behind the worx power tools I believe.
@@tentonhammer5469 yep just googled, they do aldi's ferrex too
@@jigsey. I see they do pro Kress in Germany as well. All quality levels!
Positec Group Limited is the company who makes the tools under license from CAT.

Funny how all these ‘expert’ tool testers love all the tools they are given. “Sounds good too” how scientific lmao
