I think after all that craftsmanship of restoring to it's original glory, how can one not use it for it's intended purpose & only as an ornamental piece to remind someone of their family history. For historical purposes just stick up a big picture. But the press itself? That was born to be used.
I enjoyed watching this, here in Ireland Cider is the alcoholic drink, I planted in 2016 15 cider apple trees and have 2 mature Brambly trees 1 mature russet, all which go in the mix. I upgraded from a manual to an electric scratter, but would I like that press!!! It wouldn't be an ornament I would use it. If it ever comes up for sale? Cheers

A lot more work would have to be done on the metal pieces, but also I agree.
This was so incredibly awesome to watch! Love the story behind the rebuild too! Stunning work Matt! Well done! 💞
Thank you so much!
I have the exact same press here at home, but i plan to use it once I've fully restored it. Any tips?
Awesome Matt. I like your video voice too. Someone needs to give you your own PBS show.
You’re the second person to talk about my video voice haha. I’ll happily take a pbs show.

Sounds like you’ve got quite the setup. I wish I could have kept this thing too.
O it is … I wish I had something like that … in fact I’m looking for 1
I wanted to keep it too.
Just scored one today......amazing!!
Awesome work...but think it's absolutely ridiculous to just use this as a planter again...instead of its original purpose....
Thanks! That would require a lot more work to get it back to usable, but it would have been sweet.
