This brings me back to the day when I went to Walmart, bought Zao’s self titled cd and just sat in the parking lot listening to the album reading the liner notes. I couldn’t wait to get home and jump on Garage Band. 🤘🏼
I won't forget just seeing Zao at Walmart was mind blowing cause I can remember having a music store in the mall order me in the splinter and where Blood and fire bring rest cause even the music store didn't carry them on shelves.
It's their magnum opus IMHO. Perfectly combined the doomier, dark atmospheric vibes that are sprinkled across their discography but perfectly woven into one of the heaviest riffs they've ever written.
