Quick fact check on this video. MGM did not build or own Cosmopolitan. MGM took over resort operations in 2022 . Cosmopolitan is still owned by The Blackstone Group, Stonepeak Partners, and Cherng Family Trust.
Your correct the building is still owned by them but the operations was purchased by MGM in may of 2022 ….Fact check fact checked lol it was apart of the “city center project” that was a joint venture WITH Mgm/Mirage and Deutsche bank in 2009. As part of a debt restructure Deutsche bank funded the project and decided to open it as the official cosmopolitan hotel instead of residence, in 2015 black stone bought it for 2.7 Billion and operated it until they sold the operations to MGM, but I just wanted to summarize that in the video 😆
Would you get better upgrades checking in at the autograph lounge or front desk? I know with front desk, if you skip a $20, they’ll upgrade your room a tier up. But do they do that at the Autograph lounge too?

Going for a conference in a couple weeks, need to find a quick casual table for 6-8 people to have a 30 min meeting at 9:30am - don't need alcoholic drinks but does it make since to just grab a table at the Chandelier level 1 & order mocktails? Can you access the seats on level 1.5 or 2 even if those bars aren't open at 9:30am? Or are there any other nooks with table & chairs to meet clients for quick 30 min chats?? Or a food court type area to grab a seat? Seems like the Boulevard Pool is switched to an ice rink, not sure if we could still access the North Bar tables with those views?? Just need an easy spot to say "meet us (here)". We actually have several 30 minute client meetings back to back so planting in one spot would be great (one that we don't have to reserve a $750 VIP room for)!! TIA!
Boulevard is closer to the strip, it has better views, and is very close to gambling. But the buffet is in the Chelsea tower so that’ll be the only downfall

We’re celebrating my 50th birthday there next week. Any tips on complimentary upgrades? I wonder if there’s a way of landing a Lanai suite or Bungalow suite? Our last one was on the fly and we were given a wrap around suite from our 1 bdrm! We had two suites that time and both were upgraded for Christmas! I’m definitely asking for the complimentary gift. We love staying at the cosmo. I can’t even remember how many times we’ve been there at this point, but we always find something new.

Chelsea rooms are generally superior in view angle of the fountain, strip and Sphere. Plus the rooms are generally in better condition. Plus, with the new indoor bridge, it’s an easy walk to Aria and Bellagio. But it’s generally accepted to say that the BLVD Tower is better, but I’ve convinced all my Cosmo friends otherwise now. The only suites that are better at the BLVD are the Wraparounds that have Fountain and Strip view propositions. 😅
This is my fave since its early days:). I still get comped via email so finally committed to visit again next week and hopefully I’ll get fountain view since I’m booked on Terrace for 3-Nights. I don’t even know my identity status but I’m gold with MGM. Look forward to visiting the 9th Island again.

I love the place, it’s location, offering etc. Question: in your experience what is the best (Boulevard Tower) accomm option to stay in for 2x twin share mates? I believe the twin queen bed fountain views are only available in the Chelsea Tower. That is no good as I’m a 100% Boulevard guy. If we were to request a corner wraparound for 7 nights, would the Cosmo arrange for a second bed to be put in the room? Am I best to call and personally speak with someone in reservations to arrange this?

Answer to your question, ALL rooms with 2 beds are in the Chelsea tower, none in boulevard tower have double beds, so booking the wraparound suite in the boulevard tower and adding a rollaway bed is 100% your best option! ABSOLUTELY call in to book your room for 7+ nights, cosmo has a great On site reservation team 24/7 that make great effort to get you exactly what you want/need! Hope this helps🤎

The best Cosmo room experience for the somewhat common folk Vegas budget is Terrace One Bedroom Suite. Request for Fountaim View rooms in the 45th to 59th floors at Chelsea. There is a unique Japanese tub with window exposed to the Fountains and this is unique exclusive to this room type.
The Boulevard tower is located right on the strip and faces Planet Hollywood directly. North and South facing rooms in this tower can also see up and down the strip. Chelsea tower is further back from the strip, but can still see some of it from the north, east and somewhat from the south facing rooms. Only the west or "city/mountain" view rooms can't really see the strip

Yay that’ll be so much fun! Happy birthday to her! But you can upgrade at the front desk but it does take the Risk of that room/view being sold out 😶 so it’s up to you but honestly unless its a holiday week/weekend it should be available for you to pay for the upgraded view at check in! Also yes, they do early check in as early as 9am, then you can drop off your bags at the bell desk, and they will text you as soon as your room is ready but it’s not promised to be ready until actual check in time of course! Sometimes they charge for early check in but most times they won’t charge you if your nice lol 😆
Oh wow that’s fantastic! People usually have to ask and be persistent to get a host. A host essentially is a marketing position for the casino, If you had a host approach you it’s most likely because your spending money in the casino. Casino hosts can help you book the best room accommodations, transportation, restaurants etc. this is To keep you coming and gambling! Depending your level of play in the casino many, if not all of your expenses can be comped by your host at the tail end of the your stay! Hope this answers your question!
You would book your stays through your host . They will work with the offers you already get on your email from identity, and still possibly do a bit more depending on play, at the end of your stay. Regardless It’s good to have a relationship with someone on property and book your stay through them.
Lobby is in the Chelsea tower but the boulevard tower has the view of the fountains, any room with “fountain view” on a middle floor is your best bet!!!
No free parking for guests anymore, I dont recall it ever being free actually without getting up a tier or 2 in the now MGM rewards (previous Identity)

It was previously divided by status but during Covid they opened it up for all status’ and when I left the company 1 year ago it was still open to all, also when I went in to film a few weeks ago they did not question my status or anything they just said “welcome to the cosmopolitan” … But who knows now that MGM has taken over Cosmo it may change and become more strict 😟
When they pull up your reservation if you made your cosmo reservation with using your marriotte rewards number it’ll pop up and notify them of your status when you check in☺️
Another subscriber told me If you make a reservation at the restaurant Superfrico they offer a $50 show ticket since it’s apart of the same venue, So that would have been helpful to know when I filmed this video lol 😂
I’m not a huge spender by any means. I don’t make a ton of money. But I barely slid into Sterling from just my slot play my first trip. They give you one point for every $2.50 wagered on machines and I didn’t spend more than $600 out of pocket. My coin-in was higher because win and give it back but it’s not as if Sterling is some high level, not by any stretch of the imagination. Past that, just getting two nights on probably any given weekend and a meal for two will get you Sterling status. They give you 5 points for every dollar spent. 4000 pts/5 points = $800 in non-gaming spend. That’s easy to do there. And if not…well… I just hate that I wasn’t aware of this property before covid and hope MGM doesn’t mess things up too much.

Get a free night for earning sterling tier in the process. Sadly, by february MGM’s bean counters will gut the cosmo’s super favorable rewards program.
I’m staying right now in cosmopolitan I noticed every night the vent smelled cigarettes smokes, I was assured this is not a non smoking room but we smelled smoke coming in the room so annoying! Before I sleep I check the bidding of bed after I open the bed sheet a large dirty on the beddings and inner sheet. So disappointing and waiting for an hours for the house keeping to come and change everything. I think the housekeeper was rushing and didn’t change the beddings just folded and fix the bed without checking. While I checked in other guest was given complementary 50-75$ but for me none. The guest agent is racist not giving me any complimentary.

Is there a shortcut to The Wicked Spoon? We love this place but too far for my mom to walk! We passed long empty corridors to get there!

July 30th. But MGM hosts are able to book Cosmo rooms right now. This has been the case for many months. 😊

Heyy coming in a few weeks for my Gf birthday🎉I booked terrace and hope for fountain view but do you think it’s best to go ahead and upgrade online to fountain view or do you know how likely it would be to get upgraded to fountain view if I ask at check in. We are coming on a weekday…Also how likely is it that early check in is available, we land around 8am hoping to checkin about 11
Yay that’ll be so much fun! Happy birthday to her! But you can upgrade at the front desk but it does take the Risk of that room/view being sold out 😶 so it’s up to you but honestly unless its a holiday week/weekend it should be available for you to pay for the upgraded view at check in!
Also yes, they do early check in as early as 9am, then you can drop off your bags at the bell desk, and they will text you as soon as your room is ready but it’s not promised to be ready until actual check in time of course! Sometimes they charge for early check in but most times they won’t charge you if your nice lol 😆

Oh wow that’s fantastic! People usually have to ask and be persistent to get a host. A host essentially is a marketing position for the casino, If you had a host approach you it’s most likely because your spending money in the casino. Casino hosts can help you book the best room accommodations, transportation, restaurants etc. this is To keep you coming and gambling! Depending your level of play in the casino many, if not all of your expenses can be comped by your host at the tail end of the your stay! Hope this answers your question!

You would book your stays through your host . They will work with the offers you already get on your email from identity, and still possibly do a bit more depending on play, at the end of your stay. Regardless It’s good to have a relationship with someone on property and book your stay through them.

Lobby is in the Chelsea tower but the boulevard tower has the view of the fountains, any room with “fountain view” on a middle floor is your best bet!!!

No they don’t, they charge $20 to park there is your not a guest, if your staying there it’s free
No free parking for guests anymore, I dont recall it ever being free actually without getting up a tier or 2 in the now MGM rewards (previous Identity)

Is the Autograph Lounge open to all Marriott rewards members, regardless of status?
It was previously divided by status but during Covid they opened it up for all status’ and when I left the company 1 year ago it was still open to all, also when I went in to film a few weeks ago they did not question my status or anything they just said “welcome to the cosmopolitan” … But who knows now that MGM has taken over Cosmo it may change and become more strict 😟
Prior to Covid it was for Gold and up. Now the Gold members are technically not allowed, but no one checked when I was there.

When they pull up your reservation if you made your cosmo reservation with using your marriotte rewards number it’ll pop up and notify them of your status when you check in☺️
Sadly, Identity is no longer. Now I’m only Gold and I don’t get to use the VIP lounge to check in! 😂
It takes 4000 tier points to reach Sterling status at Cosmo. Might as well just buy the tickets.
Another subscriber told me If you make a reservation at the restaurant Superfrico they offer a $50 show ticket since it’s apart of the same venue, So that would have been helpful to know when I filmed this video lol 😂
I’m not a huge spender by any means. I don’t make a ton of money. But I barely slid into Sterling from just my slot play my first trip. They give you one point for every $2.50 wagered on machines and I didn’t spend more than $600 out of pocket. My coin-in was higher because win and give it back but it’s not as if Sterling is some high level, not by any stretch of the imagination. Past that, just getting two nights on probably any given weekend and a meal for two will get you Sterling status. They give you 5 points for every dollar spent. 4000 pts/5 points = $800 in non-gaming spend. That’s easy to do there. And if not…well…
I just hate that I wasn’t aware of this property before covid and hope MGM doesn’t mess things up too much.
@@johngilbanni5891As you mentioned 5 points per dollar in resort spend. This could include loading $800 onto a gift card which you can then use on your future visits. Get a free night for earning sterling tier in the process. Sadly, by february MGM’s bean counters will gut the cosmo’s super favorable rewards program.

I’m staying right now in cosmopolitan I noticed every night the vent smelled cigarettes smokes, I was assured this is not a non smoking room but we smelled smoke coming in the room so annoying! Before I sleep I check the bidding of bed after I open the bed sheet a large dirty on the beddings and inner sheet. So disappointing and waiting for an hours for the house keeping to come and change everything. I think the housekeeper was rushing and didn’t change the beddings just folded and fix the bed without checking. While I checked in other guest was given complementary 50-75$ but for me none. The guest agent is racist not giving me any complimentary.
