- For Throwback Thursday today I am playing for the first time EVER, the third game in the Elder Scrolls series, Morrowind! It's going to be a fun and relaxing adventure of stiff animations, low-poly creatures, and Argonians that just won't leave us alone. I can't wait!

I really hope you end up enjoying this game! It's one of my favorite games of all time and it hasn't aged super gracefully but I'm always excited when people give it a shot

@@JubileeWhispers Have you played Gothic by Piranha Bytes? The first game came out in 2001 and I would at least recommend that one and the second with its expansion.

@@JubileeWhispers 36 and this is still one of my fav games and my fav in the elderscrolls series to date, the quest lines are amazing.
27:55 and there it is. The moment. The difference between immersion in a game world and simply playing a game. "how the heck do I get to ____?" This is probably the single-most unanimous reasom why people can't get over this game as opposed to Oblivion and Skyrim. I can't wait to see what happens next and whether you get super immersed into the world or just are annoyed by how manual the process of finding places is
The Elder Scrolls is my absolute FAVORITE series. It has such a rich lore. It's really cool to see you enjoying this. You are adorable, I hope that isn't weird to say.

The nostalgia is real. Morrowind was my first Elder Scrolls, and it was a blast. Will definitely bring out some good memories. I like the water sounds in it.

This is some hardcore nostalgia. Morrowind is my second favorite game of all time. This game is crazy. You can kill required NPCs and break the game if you want to.

This my favorite Elder Scrolls game and it was my first ES game. You will come to hate cliff racers. Carry cure common disease potions. They harm your stats. Ditto for restore attribute potions. There are some nasty stat draining enemies in Tombs/crypts.
I’ve never played morrowind so I’m going to love watching you play AND get relaxed at the same time 🤩

You mentioned at the first part of this video that the reason you don't wear headsets is because you can't hear your self but have you tried mic monitoring? There are plenty of free mic monitoring softwares out there for pc that are very easy to use

@@JubileeWhispers the key to the game is getting gold. Sell to the creeper in caldera. He's in the Inn with all the orcs on the socond floor. Then you want to find trainers to level up quicker.

Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind all ahve different music, although a lot of the tracks do sound similar. The Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim, however, does reuse Morrowinds music (the island of Solstheim first showed up in Morrowind's Bloodmoon DLC).
I'm worried about Elder Scrolls 6 without Jeremy Soule. Who knows when the game will be made, but i already can't wait for a music mod to add Jeremy Soule music. I can't play Elder Scrolls without it, even if it's the best game in the world, the vibes would not be the same.

Edit: I'd suggest you get the morrowind graphics extender and the morrowind code patch for a lot of quality of life improvements!

@@yourfriendlyneighbourhoodl6206 some texture mods would be nice too but that subtracts from the vanilla experience so maybe just the optimization patch and you are set to enjoy morrowind without a lot of the bugs, with better performance but with no big changes to the game.
Dude this game was my favorite. I had a original Xbox version of this game. Then I got it on PC. My younger years man. I think this was the first Bethesda game I ever played.

Why is Morrowind making such a comeback recently? There’s been a resurgence in content for it these last couple of months.
All the elder scrolls games have separate soundtracks, but the main theme is pretty much the same across morrowind, oblivion, and Skyrim, it’s just altered slightly.
I think another full run of one of the Elder Scrolls or Fallout Games would be nice, mostly because almost no one else did a full run in ASMR, like your speedruns
I had already graduated from high school by the time this game came out, so every time you call this an old game I feel like a withered old grandpa.

Download OpenMorrowind and it has a bunch of patches and you can scale the UI properly and apply mods to upgrade the character models and texture resolution, etc. You should be able to drag your game files from the GamePass into OMW and uhh... "keep" the game :)
I own all of the main line elderscrolls titles on my pc and still haven't played Arena or Morrowind to any extent yet
