As an INFJ personality type, in which creativity fuels my soul, I applaud your self-discovery light-bulb moments. You tackled efficiency in listing and inventory, schooled yourself on sell through rates, and took on some big home projects. That is success my friend and a huge win. I have to say, you are looking fabulous. I went through a time during menopause, but recovered and feel better than ever. If no one has told you today, you are inspirational! Thank you for sharing your humanity and joyous light with me. ~ Much Love ~
You're the BEST! I'm a PT reseller, retired and enjoy getting out and finding that occasional treasure. I agree 6 figures may not be for everyone. I'm still finding my way in this reselling world. Your last point is spot on - it's what one finds to be successful that meets their comfort level and still find it enjoyable.
Not that anyone asked, but all this talk about STR reminded me of something that I was recently reminded of in a different YT channel's comment section. When calculating STR and looking up the number of active listings for an item, eBay will default to "Best Match" which tends to (in my experience) inaccurately inflate the total number of actives with a lot of extra listings that shouldn't be there. So making sure to sort by anything else (personally I just sort by Newly Listed), has genuinely helped me calculate more accurate STR's so I can pick up better items. That, and watching this channel 😁 Also, when running comps and whatnot, typing all of the item specifics and searching that way, will sometimes produce a drastically different number of comps than if you were to search using a general item description, and then use the given filters to specify your search. I think the latter tends to be the more accurate method. I learned this the hard way. Hopefully I explained all of that at least half-way lucidly. Just tryin to help. But in the end, y'all do y'all.
I adore your unique style, your sense of humor, your video editing skills and your way of being so down-to-earth REAL. Keep learning and growing, and do it YOUR way. Some of us work 100% SOLO. It sounds like you are a solo seller as well - so we can't compare solo success to those who have biz partners and/or employees helping them. Apples and oranges. I follow a lot of resellers and am not aware of 6 figure earners who do the entire shebang alone. Some may exist, but it's not common. For those who have partners and/or employees, good for them, just not a fair comparison of 'success'. Regardless of numbers, I love and respect my fellow solo sellers. Anyone who can develop a consistent income that way has achieved success in their own right. So CHEERS!
I think you are a successful reseller because you work for yourself and you have made profit from that. Because you were able to accomplish making the money to makeover your home and I’m inspired by that. It doesn’t hurt that you’re hilarious either!❤
Sherrie I think all that work it takes to be a 6 figure reseller would take all the fun out of being a reseller not to mention over the top stressful. You are very successful I think and such a wonderful inspiration.
I just hope you get what you need but I get you are what I need - life can be brutal and you are such a breath of fresh air - I’ll even catch my finance hubby looking over his laptop laughing at you - not an easy feat!! You set goals and meet them - what more can you ask for…❤❤❤ Happy Holidays
That Kavu sweater is gorgeous! I love their bags too! Same, I will never be successful because with a full time job, by the time I'm off, I slide into instantly lazy 😂 Hope you and your family have a blessed and Merry Christmas ❤
I like having a life. Reselling full time sounds overwhelming. I taught full time for 28 years, raised a family, had community responsibilities plus “life”. Now it’s just for fun. I sold enough to pay for two round trip tickets to Capetown, South Africa this year and in my book that was a success. I think being a successful reseller should never be determined by $$ just like someone’s salary in their profession. There are many successful teachers, firefighters, police officers, etc. We would never determine their success by their pay. I love your thoughtful reflection and your transparency. Thank you. Have a wonderful Christmas.
G'day Sherri ,Merry Christmas to you and yours from Australia. My name is Robyn I'm 57 years old ,I'm a couple of times a month reseller 😂. Were I'm standing from Sherri you are a fabulous success. Thank you Sherri for creating fantastic enjoyable funny content ✌️
You are very successful in my opinion! You have 2 TH-cam channels with very interesting and clever videos. You could do more but it might not be as fun. You have a family and love to entertain!
Started going to estate sales with my youngest daughter every weekend about a year ago. Have sold some but mostly now have wonderful memories spending time with my daughter. Thank you for being a humble reseller.
What you do is great Sherri! I also think you are very successful. I love to watch but I can't wrap my head around it. I am just starting to get my act together and I filled 6 large boxes with all new, never been worn clothes from Johnny Was, Talbot's, Fresh Produce, JJill, and more and I was thinking of taking it down to the Rescue Mission. But then I thought, I could just ship it to you. At 70, I wanted to slow down after working my whole life. Then you know what happened. I just feel overwhelmed. ♥️☘️
I sell ~$100K p/y mostly physical media and on pace for $200K for 2025. I made my youtube channel to explain how easy it is to get media items and how fast they sell.
In order to be a six figure reseller you have to source, list and store Items that have a value of $100,000 dollars. And it’s actually more like $200,000 in order to profit $100,000 after fees and COG. That’s a lot of stuff! And you have to flip it fast in order to do that year after year. That’s a lot of time and space!
Sherri, thank you for an excellent video. You have continued to inspire me to improve my picking skills & start a thrifting YT channel with a friend in Australia 🌏 Wishing you a very happy New Year with success on your terms 🎇

Thank you so much for this. I really needed to be reminded that we don't have to be a 6 figure reseller to be successful. Balance is my goal for 2025

You are very successful in my opinion! You have 2 TH-cam channels with very interesting and clever videos. You could do more but it might not be as fun. You have a family and love to entertain!
I think you’ve made a great plan for yourself. I look forward to watching along.
