We had many wild turkeys in our back yard and woods this year. They usually came in groups of 6 to 12. The young would eat under our bird feeders. The elders were a bit brassy and had to be chased off our deck a couple of times (due to bad manners). 🤨
...turkeys like to perch in trees. Can be very quiet. Can drop-bomb unwary turkey-hunters, and have. These turkey's are NOT cute and cuddly. Will fight off an owl, thinks nothing of picking a fight with a full grown male peacock. Oh, and yes, they will attack humans. Honking ones horn repeatedly in a car is nothing to them, as they strut past the drivers side door..stretching up to stare at the driver as if to say "Dare ya, I freakin *dare* you to come out!" However, they do know to take off if they hear the ratchet of a shotgun being loaded thru an open car window.... ....at least the wild ones in SouthEastern Pennsylvania do....
God Whenever I see these Nature Segments, It's just so soothng.
Ben Franklin nominated these guys for the national bird. They do seem majestic in a way.
Their social habits are so different from eagles. I really like the image.
Tank you CBS Sunday Morning for providing this free videos. I have no access to CBS in my country on Television, so I can watch here on TH-cam.

Are these birds going to be on some family dinner table this Thursday?
Nooooo! These are wild turkeys, which were just recently reintroduced to the Toledo area, where they were hunted almost to extinction
Nope. Nobody can afford them.
