IMPORTANT: Minute 03:38, for the love of god, avoid doing what I did. I just insulated the metal to be able to pass the outlet through the hole!! AVOID passing it without insulation. Massive fire hazard. I can't believe I didnt catch that. Legit Electricity 101. Massive thanks to the people in the comments. You live and you learn but dayum sometimes it can cost you.... Hope you liked the story telling!
was going to say. thats super dodgy. not even just for a fire hazard, but it wcould also make the whole pegboard live, and you wouldnt know until you touched it. A beter sollution wouldbe to use a wall power socket and mount that into the pegboard. The socket should come with an earth, and you can put a plastic backbox on it to insulate it from the pegboard. Though thats what i'd do in the uk, not sure if the american standard for backboxes and socket etc is the same as the uk.
Omg that gave me cold sweats, if that slip’s and causes a fire you won’t be insured due to sheer stupidity, let alone the possibility of making that whole metal board live!.
13:28 to prevent collecting dust onto the power bar and sockets you should install a clear box over the bar, like the ones installed over power outlets in bathrooms to prevent splashing water; plus it reduces visual displeasure because dust is almost the same color as clear box
Dam I thought I was the only one with this type of set up 😆 I restored my dads old snap on box added a wooden top out of a free old oak table and ikea peg boards on the wall. For whenever I want to take a seat I pull out the top drawer with a wooden spacer so that my keyboard and mouse are flush to the top of the drawer. It gives you the legs space and perfect keyboard height while sitting. 🤙
I like the setup and clean look. Here comes the but, I am generally concern about the leg rooms while I am sitting at desk and working. The husky drawer has no space for legs to go in and pretty sure its gonna hit the knees or force to sit in a awkward way like a frog or knees crying haha. I am firm believer in having space cut out beneath desk for legs and even chairs to be push thru. but well pros of having drawers and long sturdy desk might outweigh or perhaps it doesnt matter, just my stating my preference n opinion. As usual good edits, esp the big block yellow fonts in intro was nice.
I thought for sure I’d see someone talk about the outlet setup! How has everybody missed this?!? lol having the gap between the outlet and prongs, passing through a metal (conductive) plate is not a great idea. Now, I’m not the safety police but my jaw dropped when I saw that. 😂
A nice and sturdy solution to mounting that power bar so you don't have to mess with metal screws are butterfly anchors. You drill a hole the partially insert the closed butterfly anchor and then do the same for the other end. attach the power bar carefully screw on the nut on both side. Then put the butterfly anchor through the hole and when the anchor expands pull it against the cabinet and tighten the nut. repeat for the other side. The butterfly anchors can hold up to 100 lbs. so much better (It spreads the weight across the anchor and the cabinet panel). than placing all the weight on a couple of screws and letting the cabinet hole take all the stress. With your Phillips light strips there is a curved corner bracket you can get or 3d print to make it pretty.
Appreciate the story tellling. Those husky drawers are clutch and perfect timing as I am looking to replace a file cabinet. Husky seems to have a fit products that fit the script. For the power bar, try 3M Dual Lock Reclosable Fasteners
yeah husky is killing it with these lol... they are mainly made for garages but in a workspace its awesome. I also ended drilling the bar to the husky and called it a day man. I dont want it to fall n stuff
man, i've following you for while, and I have to say... What awesome job you do here in general, desk setups is my favorite content of all you do. And this one, you really created a unique piece of art! Congrats man, keep doing what you do, I became a fan haha
Setup aside the editing on this vid was amazingly better than the other vids you made…the other vids are also amazingly well made and edited but this one was different 🔥
This is a beautiful set up, it's so cleanly done. Getting it right is just a very difficult task and you seem to have hit the nail on the head with this one. Although id relocate that Anfield board and move it closer to out the window.
It's Kinda forest on the wall (however i love those "hookers"), i liked the monitor back-light idea and moft stuff but this way it feels to be in a garage with all that, and it is the only thing i didn't like. Next time can you try something more smooth like for a small room with things that are retractable? Please? Thanks, as always nice content by the way!
@@andresvidoza especially how you guys produce best team on TH-cam I’ve seen, skill and consistency with right content I love it keep up the great work
Amazing video! I really like your desk setups, and my favorite part is always the lighting. This is something I feel like I always struggle with at my current setup. I feel like a video dedicated to lighting would be so cool, and it would help me make my setup better

Love the honesty, not trying to cover up mistakes and stuff that didn't work as expected. It's a rare thing to find on TH-cam these days..
thnaks man I appreciate it!
The husky bench table is the star of this setup, as it is the center of all organization, and provides one of the nicest looking work surface.
Your attention to detail when it comes to set design and props is really impressive!

Nice. A Liverpool fan too. Can't go wrong.
haha thanks broo
It's worth appreciating the dope collection of backpacks
Haha thank you! I loooove all of them
I appreciate a video about all the little things that can go wrong when putting together a setup. It's all worth it when it all comes together.
This new way of story telling is crazzzzzzzzzy 😍. Love from India ❤❤❤.

Fixed it already this what happens when you rush things. Put a pinned comment. Massive fire hazard Jesus..
@@andresvidoza haha I am happy to hear it!!! I laughed because initially I said to myself, “that’s smart,” then it hit me 😂
imagine me thinking: im so smart and clever lmfao.. fml man so dangerous.
I was thinking the same thing! Glad y’all addressed that issue.
Also the extension cord through the wall is a fire hazard as well… those cords can heat up and start a fire in the wall
Inspiring as usual. Loved the video. Got me thinking of making a few changes to my setup now. Love from India.
