I mainly use Yukong for her roaring bowstrings to help boost up my Yanqing. At first it was a hard decision for me to build her to go first but eventually I found that going first is rather the same as going last. I decided to build her when I decided to do one draw on Luocha's banner (I got Bailu ironically) and she is the definition of high skill floor and ceiling. Fine tuning her stats to match up with her team is tricky, but once you get that balance she can be the backbone to your team's DPS

Man, I really wanted to build my E1 Yukong, because of her DEM KILLER LEGZ, plus Clara's counterattack doesn't consume the Bowstring charges. However, I personally don't like the idea of needing to meticulously tune a character to fit them into a certain rotation, because it just sounds like a too much work. There are already too many things to work on already, as is. I'm just gonna have to think more about this, but until I make a decision I think I'll just keep her in the reserve for now... lol.
I feel the same way, but hopefully that will be less and less of a concern as we accumulate more and more materials. It's rough right now from being short on literally everything 😅
I do hope they'll improve the ai for auto battling at some point because Yukong, among other units, do some dumb stuff while it's on. For example, healers waiting too long to use their abilities, Bronya using the only SP left to advance a character's turn, leaving them no SP to actually do anything, Tingyun applying her buff to allies after using it on the dps I know that with the exception of healers, units simply use their ults immediately when they get them, but it would be nice if like they made it so Yukong will only use her ult if she has stacks
Having Yukong with full Eidolons is a godsend. I never really messed with team comp before. I just made it work. But now, when the stars align and I got multiple ults ready to synergize off each other, I can buff at will.
She's a great damage dealer too! I'm trying her out for some time now and her basic atk can deal good enough damage when you kinda messed up your rotation or if your team mates are down

I haven't played her yet but I like the idea of actively thinking about turn order and speed and planning accordingly for a big reward. Adds an extra layer of depth in combat and sure you can get screwed over by CC but as long as its a big boost I don't think things going not as planned occasionally is that big a deal.
this is exactly the mechanic i was looking for. you have to think a bit more and make preparations to get a good result. of course she is good looking as well ;D
She is excellent with jing yuan and clara since they are both slow as christmas. They can wear attack boots and as long as yukong is faster than max lightning lord (131) she can buff LL, clara counters, jing yuan, and clara herself. last unit has to be a healer thats faster than yukong
You don’t want your JY to be slow though. His optimal speed is 134 m. Anything lower and you get inconsistent LL stacks since you want to maintain at 8-10 for optimal performance.
@@TacticalDimples see here is the thing, id take a LL with 8 stacks consistently with a max crit rate and 250% crit damage over a max LL that misses 30% of his crits any day of the week. Now if you run JY with bronya then all bets are off she is better. an 8 stack LL is only 110 speed, you can beat him without using speed boots thats the beauty of it. and the crit rate buff makes up for it. @@keneunaegbu851 right thats because it depends on who you role with. If you use bronya then all bets are off she is better. But the harmonies don't really like to run with each other. Thats what makes this work. its when you run people with advance forwards and speed boosts in their kits that mess everything up.

The speed tuning required to make her work is enough of a reason for her to be 4-star. It takes way more work than you think. So many units change their speed throughout the battles that you won't always be landing her rotation perfectly, not to mention how much energy she needs. I'm saying all this as someone who uses her all the time and raised her right after getting her. Sher's just reeeally gimmicky. I can see her being insane in imaginary comps though
You either have to spend tons of SP or have a terrible buff uptime with her, her ult cost is crazy high and the speed tuning is super fiddly and will be ruined by unavoidable things like freeze, entanglement etc. She's definitely NOT worthy of being a five star. That said she has a lot of potential for specific team comps, but she's not a challenger for Tingyun right now.
FInally, im itching too build her not touching traces coz ur guide help me build my YQ Geppie and Asta and theyre perfoming great in my plays. Thank You,
I think slow yukong is also really good for conditional dps characters (yanqing soulsteel sync, serval shock to proc talent, and maybe himeko follow up) because there’s better buff efficiency(?), meaning that the dps dont need to set up when they get the roaring bowstring stacks so another point to consider (albeit highly specific)
I will definitely want to put her with Imbibitor Lunae whenever he comes out, but right now, she had slotted in perfectly into my Yanqing team (Gepard, Yukong, Tingyun, Yanqing). It has a pretty good skill point balance, even if I sometimes feel like the second stack of her buff is wasted on a support (though if the fight lasts long enough, she actually starts to benefit from her own buff and her damage is so good)
I got her E6 and Welt losing my 50/50 pulling for Luocha (83 pitty). I also have S4 Planetary Rendezvous LC. So the game decided my next pull and team for me, Mono Imaginary. I hope its good. Also Foxian beauty.

She's a feisty little fox. I wished on the Luocha banner once just for the hope to get her. I got Tingyun E4 instead. Not bad... But... She's messing with me.
Thanks for this guide it really helps me understand her better! I had just started to get a grasp on how she plays but I still had a lot to learn. I was lucky and managed to get E4 Yukons and Luocha (got Gepard along the way 😅) and they are so good it’s insane. My current team line up is Luocha, Yukong, Silver Wolf, and Seele. And yes I am F2P, I’ve just been stupidly lucky 😂
My setup with her is Seele, Bronya(Obviously), Yukong, and Otto, with Seele the fastest, followed by Yukong, then Bronya. The way I do it, I activate either Seele's tech or Yukong's (Depending on whether my Seele can kill an enemy on her second turn or not, usually I use Yukong's) I then have her normal atk one weaker mob to lower its HP to guarantee it will die next time she takes her turn so she could trigger her talent As for Yukong's turn, I have her use E then ULT And same as Yukong's, I use Bronya's E to boost Seele's turn up and have her use her ULT For Seele I secure the kill with normal atk, after all, with those buffs in her a normal atk should be enough to finish it, use her skill, ULT, then skill to finish it up. All that leaves me with one SP leftover with that I could trigger the same cycle though without ult
Would you say yukong, yangqing, loucha, and fire mc is a good team? Or should I run sushang instead of fire mc to run 2 dps because I lack seele, Clara.
Been using her in (an almost) mono imaginary team. Luocha, Silver Wolf and IL round out the team and collectively they brute force anything they face together 👍🏻 Pela makes an excellent alternative to SW, as if I get Fu Xuan this time around (🤞🏻), she will be joining my double quantum/lightning team. Had been running Yukong with the musketeer set, but noticed a rise in her damage with the banditry set instead. Though that is due to team composition (enemies are either imprissoned or defeated 😆)
Okay I got to comment on this because we already had a Fox girl but this game is like screw it let's give these people another one. I think this company has a tiny bit of a type of a Beast girl which I don't blame them but not even GI has a second Fox girl and that has Yae. Still despite the increase in foxes, great work with the video Sevy!
As long as she is faster than Welt is my main concern. She will never be faster than Seele, and thats fine for me because the team of Seele, Silverwolf, Serval and Bailu is too good to break up. That leaves team 2 as Yukong, Welt, Gepard/Natasha and Yanqing/Sushang. Tingyun is another possibility, double fox girls make Welt hit like a truck in imaginary fights.
I did read comments ( not here, ofc) that people were "complaining" because te game was playable in full auto and was getting boring. Looks like Yukong breaks that option nicely.
Hi Sevy!! Not sure if you would see this comment but I was wondering could you do a Bronya guide??? I have watched some other content creator's Bronya guide but I personally didnt find them quite helpful😢. Could you help me for my request???🥺
i dont have any resources to build her now but now im wondering whom i can pair her up with since ive build my current dps-es to be speedy since i often use them with bronya xD maybe minimizing her speed will help me out. Thanks for the video sevy!
Apart from being the best waifu i have tried her in a two diff teams. when farming i put her with Himiko , hertha and seval. she buffs before they make the Seval-Hertha (f-up)-Himeko(f-up)-Hertha (f-up nr2) with is good against lower leveld foes as it takes out most with one attack, but i am also trying her with my Mc (tank) Silver wolf and Dan Hong. am still a newbie but i like her buffing skills. though her ultimate isnt as affective but that might be becaus i use the wrong relics/traces- her light cone is past and future as it has her piicture i assumed it must be fittet for her. am looking forward to (hopefully) Kafka and maybe Bailu when reaching 300 wishes. Great help with her build though i dont understand all the terms yet but its getting there.
I like her kit but her utility is not good. “Fine tuning your team” speed is not at easy seeing as that speed is a stat that’s not guaranteed to roll into or as you mention the players have built in speed mechanics that goes against the synergy. Which make Yukong only good in teams you have the ability to tune instead of all teams. The problem with the Honkai creator guides if that most of y’all advice has placed an overemphasis on speed for more turns per cycle and so that the shielders and tanks can buff and protect that a lot of people will find that the next two people who act after she activate roaring bowstrings is a shielder or harmony character. So now “speed tuning” is just advice telling people to dial back the speed that was initially recommended
As an f2p endgame player, what lvl should most of my char be? Lvling them to Lv80 is quite inefficient (resources wise) imo I understand that i need to max out someone that i used on daily basis like Seele but how bout March 7? I rarely n only use her when i wanna play Clara so should my March 7 be at lv60 or 70? N how bout the LC?
Finally got her e6 today! She has a really nice design with the teal colors and poofy tail so I always wanted to build her. Now I have Ratio and Aventurine so I think she can be put with them, or with my Jingliu Blade dual carry team... idk what I'm doing most of the time but this is probably not a bad idea?? I hope? I just want her to be useful
I'm new to the game and even tho I've already pulled 100 times on the standard banner I still havent gotten a single Tingyun, is Yukong a good alternative then?
How does everyone have the mats to level her up 😅 I really like her but she’s stuck at level 40 because I quite literally have 0 books, much less trace materials, artifacts, etc
Speed tuning has pretty much killed her for me, tbh. Like, her abilities are crazy cracked, but having to swap relics around just to make her work is a big no-no, since relic RNG is already aids as is, and getting one perfect relic is hard enough, nevermind a team full of relics that have your speed in the right places. Compared to Tingyun/Bronya (and even Asta), you sorta just benefit by existing, and if you have the perfect SPD lineup, then that's a bonus.
All you would need to swap are boots, you dont speed tune with substats, you level speed boots slowly until the speed is where you want it instead of maxing them out. Yukong has so many choices when it comes to relic sets, she can actually make use of the trash you get when farming for dps relics, meaning its far easier to adjust her to fit into an established team.
there is someone i use but i don't know how to build him.... sampo, i dont really understand how he works, he is my only strong wind unit, maybe a sampo guide 😣

The way I do it,
I activate either Seele's tech or Yukong's (Depending on whether my Seele can kill an enemy on her second turn or not, usually I use Yukong's)
I then have her normal atk one weaker mob to lower its HP to guarantee it will die next time she takes her turn so she could trigger her talent
As for Yukong's turn, I have her use E then ULT
And same as Yukong's, I use Bronya's E to boost Seele's turn up and have her use her ULT
For Seele I secure the kill with normal atk, after all, with those buffs in her a normal atk should be enough to finish it, use her skill, ULT, then skill to finish it up. All that leaves me with one SP leftover with that I could trigger the same cycle though without ult
This is so helpful!
jeje awesome video
Well they ever enable inverted controls for this game?
good to know she works like that i guess i didnt read her ki5 carefully enough
Best guides for this game.
A burst and normal attack dps that doesn’t need to sacrifice Dmg stacks to buff her team, only er
I did read comments ( not here, ofc) that people were "complaining" because te game was playable in full auto and was getting boring. Looks like Yukong breaks that option nicely.
Who is here because Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae?
Yeah it's BRUTAL trying to speed tune with Seele hitting like 165-170 with her buffs
Thats what it means by having bad synergies. It can works obviously just, badly.
I will not pull, i will not pull, i will NOT PULLLLLLLL!!!
IM SAVING FOR BLADIEEE😢
Stay strong, she's gonna be free in 1.2 anyway! You could even prefarm for her for now :)
Lost my 50/50 on Luocha's banner and got Bronya but also got Yukong to E3
Hi Sevy!! Not sure if you would see this comment but I was wondering could you do a Bronya guide??? I have watched some other content creator's Bronya guide but I personally didnt find them quite helpful😢. Could you help me for my request???🥺
If ultimates are not consuming stacks, are they benefiting from Yukong's buff or is it just the skill and ba?
Lets go! Lets build mommy Yukong
i dont have any resources to build her now but now im wondering whom i can pair her up with since ive build my current dps-es to be speedy since i often use them with bronya xD maybe minimizing her speed will help me out.
How to use Yukong: Include 3 DPS with her
im sorry, i was rewatching this bc yukong is confusing and i have just realized how similar her style is so dhil
Have e5 and going to get e6 next patch but damn love her flat buffs
I love her skill in open world she’s fast as frick boi
Lvling them to Lv80 is quite inefficient (resources wise) imo
I understand that i need to max out someone that i used on daily basis like Seele but how bout March 7? I rarely n only use her when i wanna play Clara so should my March 7 be at lv60 or 70? N how bout the LC?
TLDR - if you want 100% consistency with Yukong just stick to using her technique in the overworld *zoooooooooom*
I have 2 of Bronya's Light Cone and Bronya. Should I Superimpose the Light Cone or just give one to Yukong?
Id suggest you keep the copy for yukong or really any other harmony char. Superimposition gives an extremely sball buff, its not worth it
@@Daniel-ru8je i used it already 🥹. Well at least now my bronya has like 30+ energy recharge
She's great but a nightmare if team order changes for any reason
Me who officially mastered yukong.
why the dps can overtake yukong even though the speed is constant?
Finally got her e6 today! She has a really nice design with the teal colors and poofy tail so I always wanted to build her. Now I have Ratio and Aventurine so I think she can be put with them, or with my Jingliu Blade dual carry team... idk what I'm doing most of the time but this is probably not a bad idea?? I hope? I just want her to be useful
I'm new to the game and even tho I've already pulled 100 times on the standard banner I still havent gotten a single Tingyun, is Yukong a good alternative then?
Alright then. I'll be back on this video when I start building her after 10 years. Farming materials is a pain🌚
i have a hard time deciding what to farm for planar ornament sets bc they're just so... meh.
How does everyone have the mats to level her up 😅 I really like her but she’s stuck at level 40 because I quite literally have 0 books, much less trace materials, artifacts, etc
I can see some great Clara memes with slow Yukong.
Your videos butter My biscuits thank you
Speed tuning has pretty much killed her for me, tbh.
Now that she’s in the Inhibitors lunae banner it’s time to E6 her
there is someone i use but i don't know how to build him.... sampo, i dont really understand how he works, he is my only strong wind unit, maybe a sampo guide 😣
Her legs looks like those Victoria secret angels 😳
All that my account needs is Dan Heng: IL and my Imaginary team is complete
