Yes, I did say "I am going to get the large square out and probably round bale.." that would really be an incredible feat. There are no round bales in this video. As always, thank you everyone for the support. It means more than you probably know.
Thank you so much for your interesting videos. I really love watching those farming videos from the United States and exploring the differences between the US and Germany where I'm living. Just really small farms are running the small balers here, most farms use round balers and the big farms use the big square balers like Claas Quadrant and Krone Big Pack. Looking forward to your next videos. I wish you all the best and great harvest. Greetings from Germany.
I love watching you guys do hay. Definitely if I lived closer and you were hiring I would love to help. Great video. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!!
Man, ran across your channel a couple of years ago love the content I’m 61 and been around farming my whole life not a farmer but worked for a farmer in high school and a neighbor part- time for 30 years just can’t get the dirt out of my finger nails live south of you between Dayton and Columbus
I'm sorry but you could video every field every cutting and post more often... watching is very soothing! Never apologize for big day... small day! We love watching every day...... (although I'm a Hoosier)
Out of curiosity do you have any concerns with the skylights in the barn bleaching the hay any? Were looking at building a new pole barn to store bundles in but not sure how to avoid the sun bleaching. Current barn has the lights in the roof and that seems to bleach the whole top row. Better off to be completely darked out and add some lights in the rafters?
So what’s going on with the new building ? Are you guys building it so therefore nothing’s going on with it while you’re harvesting hay or are you having it done by a contractor ?

It’s hard to find a job as memorable as this. That’s for sure. Thank you for the kind words
Thank you for the reply
Looking forward to the Marcrest and 1842s videos. But don't mind waiting. When grass is on the ground, seat time is always priority.
You get it! Thank you for the support
Love the videos!!! Thank you

It is wonderful a vast lawn that you use modern machines into agriculture, in that most of them are manual farming so it is very slow ineffective
Well said!
I love doing hay 🎉
We do too!
Hired a guy with a Massey 2270XD mid size square baler, and yes Massey does make a solid baler 👌
Oh they make an excellent bale!
Did you do a video on the mega barn project??
Not yet but it will show up in some videos currently being edited

We aren’t THAT worried about surface bleaching. Customers seem to understand
How do you inventory your hay for sale given the wide variety of quality by field and cutting?
We do our best to stack them in a field by field batch
You are always using the telehandlers, how many hours have they done?
Good question. I’m not early sure. I’ll have to see how many we have racked up
I’m baling 2nd cut warm season grass today.
Nice! Where at?

The MF 1840 balers how many bales do you average before you trade/rebuild them?

We have a crew building it for us. We don’t do any of the actual framing. It’s about 65% complete!
@@FarmingInsider would love to see the progress !
Just curious why you guys don't run Massey windrowers? I'm new to the windrower game and run deere just curious why you guys chose deere?
We really like the tri lobe conditioners Deere offers but we are trying to also test a Massey twin max conditioner
Sometime show us the dryer system
A full dryer video is coming soon!
