Knowing what Shatner originally wanted to do with this film and seeing how well your effects for it are, only goes to show how badly cheated we were back in '89 when the budget was cut... after production was already well along!
ST5 needs a director's cut (with the added scenes that were originally cut out), plus with improved f/x. Still wouldn't make it a great film but it would improve it.
I always felt that when you see the Enterprise backdropped by the moon, while is a beautiful shot, she should have been either in the space dock that orbits the Earth or in a dock that was used in Star Trek TMP or TWoK.
Very nice job! I've always thought it was a tragedy that they never let Shatner go back and "re-master" Star Trek V as Robert Wise was able to with "The Motion Picture." The effects work on V was the worst of any of the original cast films, and the "jet boots in the turbo-lift shaft" scene would be less silly if the deck numbers were even *close* to accurate. They might have even been able to fix the final confrontation with the false god, bringing in the cherubim and seraphim turning into demons that was originally conceived. Star Trek V would still be the least of the original cast films, but at least it would LOOK so much better!
Nice!! But what about the people living on the moon? Riker said there were cities and 30 million people living on the moon in his time. You'd have to figure in Kirks time we'd still be able to see something on the surface.
There's still almost 100 years between Kirk & Riker. We know there were colonies since just after First Contact, but that doesn't necessarily mean there was a steady population growth. Perhaps lunar habitation was very limited even in Kirk's era, until technological advancements in the intervening years (industrial reolicators, most likely) led to a population boom.
There is no more beautiful starship in star trek than the constitution refit!

Man, this makes me wish you could work with Paramount to revamp the FX shots in these films. Would be awesome. These look great! Just beautiful.
Agreed, but I'd say that "V" is the only one that actually needs a re-vamp.
Yes Yes - more more!! :) Looking very good!
Beautiful! 🤩
Looks awesome. ❤

Very nice
They really should hire ILM to replace the special effects for this film.
My 3rd favorite Constitution Class ship. The Enterprise A.
I gotta ask what 1 and 2 are...
@gungasam3000 Gladly. #1 TOS ENTERPRISE and #2 Constitution Class refit.
Stunning, you should contact paramount and show them these, maybe they will give you a much deserved job. ;)

Very nice.
But the Moon only appears blue because of Earth's atmosphere.
Good sh*t 👍
This sucked! I want the time I wasted watching this back. 😠
