😊 You remind me of...me. Pretty much clueless, just keep 'working' on it till it's totally junked or it starts. Those opposed twin engines are pretty much bulletproof, they're awesome.
That's a nice looking tractor. I like those engines. You did a great job getting it running. I think with the kill wire I would just replace the whole thing. Might make things a little easier. What ever you do, as long as it runs you should have a good machine.
They were made by modern tool and die back in 1970s to middle early to late 90s there were about 125 different companies was bought out by MTD there only maybe about 5 big companies and sometimes its hard to get parts some of you to get Amazon for Chinese knot offs or used parts there in ohio and indiana both of are full all kinds both old factorys and outside .

Gotta learn somehow lol! Thanks for the comment. Take care !
“Hell yeah”. Damn right.
She sounds like she runs really well, especially after having sat for so long.
The guy I bought it off of was convinced it needed an engine. I said challenge accepted! Thanks for watching!
Yep, pure dedication and patience.
I enjoyed your video. Looking forward to the next one.
Heavy duty old girl and good looking too! Great work!
Thank you sir! I’ve been trying to keep up with your new videos !

Gotta love wheel horses, too bad I got a lemon of a wheelhorse😢
Sounds like you need to buy a second one then!
@@LaidOffGarage I already have 10 other garden tractors in my back yard, my mom would kill me😂
That was great to see it running
put some rust remover in the key switch
That's a sweet find. Those battery covers are normally long gone. The Murray version of this GT would be a 39003.
With a name like that I’ll believe you lol! Would you happen to know what size battery this thing takes? A U1 seems like a tight fit.
@@LaidOffGarage That's the size I use, it definitely is tight.
Laid off garage hope to see you mowing with the lawn chief
It would be cool but the deck is far worse than I thought!
Test the continuity on the key switch itself with the dvom
I love old garden tractors. Just subbed
Awesome! Thank you!
That motor is old enough to have points and condenser under the flywheel save the old coil its probably still good
That engine Is the best two cylinder engine BS made even to this date

That's what I've been learning! I was planning on selling it but I've kinda grown partial to it! Thanks for watching!
A sweet-running engine...congratulations
im ur 700th subscriber bro
That’s awesome! I haven’t checked for a couple days !
Rare? Just a run of the mill MTD.
Weird because it’s not an MTD. It’s a lawn chief. Take care !
Nice! Good job buddy on getting that ol’ thang running! 🫡
Just found your channel and subscribed. Nice to see someone getting more life out of these older machines. Would appreciate a subscription back.
Thank you!
