This video shows a simple and effective knot that you can use to tie a broken kite line back together, if you happen to break one on a back country tour. Dyneema line is extremely slippery and most traditional knots will not hold.
A special thank you to Allen Edwards: I recommend you watch his video and go to his website for an even better tutorial. I just wanted to repeat his knot here with a special emphasis on kite lines.

8 years later I'm still using your knot Nate!😅
I snapped my sport kite line the other day and have been looking for good knots to repair it. After watching this video, i used similar parameters and found the blood knot. I haven't had a chance to fly again but it seems to follow a similar idea as this one, and it is easier to remember.
I made this knot for my kite string three years ago. Just flew it today and it held up great even to gusts.
Thanks Nate for taking the time to post this. Just repaired my 1 year old liquid force bar line, no idea how I frayed it. Unfortunately you said easy to remember. I've seen this video 6 times and practiced the knot at least 20 times but can never seem to remember it when I need it. :)
Ya, I haven't needed to use it in the field yet, but I did print out a half-a-sheet of step-by-step pics and put it in my pack, and also saved the video to my phone, to help jog my memory.
Nice Nate, thanks! Hope I never have to use it, but good one to know.
Thanks Jeff! Ya, hope I never have to use it either. Have a buddy in Durango recently who used had to use it and he said it worked great, so that's good to hear...
I use a larks head.
i use a zeppelin knot
