My s95B in 65 came in yesterday so far the picture is awesome, the home screen and settings screens are kinda janky but that’s just because I’m not used to them yet. The lack of Dolby vision for gaming is a no big deal to me. The wall mounting option is kinda wacky have to use 2 included spacers and will need custom hardware since the lengths are not standard. But the included stand mount is very solid and keeps the tv low enough to not be annoying. My honest review is 9/10 I wish they made it larger ( probably in a year or two ) the wall mounting solution could have been better implemented but it works it’s good enough when you get the correct hardware. 65 inch tvs are perfect for me. I dont need a bigger size personally but I understand many folks wanting 77 or 83 qd oled. This tv looks beautiful based on video comparisons and I cant wait to see how Sony competes with Samsung.
I know DeWayne isn’t on this so I have concerns regarding quality. However I saw the TV in person at Best Buy and tested with some HDR game clips and it’s very impressive. I hope this video is grounded and doesn’t veer into sensation.
I just ordered this 65" s95b to replace my 65" C9. I'm gonna grab an hdmi splitter so I can compare side by side. That will put the nail in the coffin. Obviously if it's not impressive I'll return it, but I bet it's just gonna blow the c9 away. Then I'll grab larger size next year on sale near black Friday if they released one. I was gonna get 77 g2 this year but this is too exciting to wait. This step up in technology trumps size for now.
Hi Whisper. Said this before in Pass the Remote.... I am blown away by some of the images of the S95B you show here. Its almost a paradox that images on the 55S95B you show looks better than the same content I see on my 75QN90ADS using the built-in TH-cam app. Basically it means that the QN90A is good enough (since it delivers S95B image experiance amazingly), but, is there a possibility that this is not a paradox but a real thing, maybe due to S95B tone mapping which makes me see different (and better) picture than the same content directly on TH-cam?
Now that I come to think of it, most of the demo shown here is HDR on S95B which is actually streamed as SDR on TH-cam. In QN90A SDR Sometimes looks better than HDR (FOMO mentioned that Samsung's tone mapping is good enough so you normally don't care about Dolby Vision)...... So maybe this solves the puzzle?
Hey Brian, I love my LGC1 77 inch OLED but this Samsung looks incredible. I brought my tv from Robert back in October of last year.. Does he ever let people trade up their TV's? 😀😀 Nick Ps. I bought my LGC1 OLED 77 thanks to you and your visits with Robert.. I learned so much after giving my nephew my old Sony x930e. I'm just curious...
Great stream Brian. But as I have said before I am sticking with my excellent C1 for a few years until all this tech smooths out as some say. I saw the 95B up close and personal over the weekend and yes it was bright and punchy but I am not a huge fan of over saturated colors which is something Samsung is widely known for and they have been for a very long time. But hey everyone has their own tastes and I am all for it. It's your money and your choice. Also I have concerns about Samsung's QC issues which they are also known for and I have been through many times. Hopefully they have ironed this out with the 95B. Also no DV, which is not a big deal to some, and only goes up to 65inches is also a deal breaker IF I were in the market to buy one. Samsung is in the lead but we will see if that changes when Sony releases their QD-Tech and you can bet your bottom dollar that LG will respond in 2023. That all being said. Again great stream as always and your love of the 95B is through the roof as is alot of other peoples. But me I am going to wait a few years.
Hey Brian! Looking forward to the video. Question: I'm curious to know what you guys think of the brightness of the A95K. It's not going to be less than the Samsung QD OLED, is it? I'm asking because I saw a review a few weeks ago from CNET/David Katzmaier stating that although an outstanding TV the Sony wasn't visibly brighter than regular OLEDs. Maybe you can talk about that a bit and your predictions. Ta
It's going to be interesting to see if Sony limits brightness to similar to their a90j and focuses on highlight brightness. It's the exact same panel as Samsung so Sony can opt with updates to make it brighter. But maybe they tested it and determined it doesn't need to be as bright? Who knows, Sony does what Sony does.
@@dtbrown1978 as long as it's not darker... In theory it should be ... say 10-20%? brighter thanks to its heatsink. I'm also hooked on Sony's XR processor. Ok…. Was looking at Sony X95K 65” but heard the 65 inch is NOT the quality of the 75” etc. Dimming zones cut in half and blooming issues on the 65” only. So my question…. S95B or X95k at 65” Lighting and cost is not an issue. Please help me…. Coming from the 65 X95J Thanks bro
The new era just begins with this tv. I am convinced that in 2 years there will be no more led tv. I always was thinking that developing led tv was wrong, although it helped on creating the stunning qd-oled. And the launching price is not overpriced.
No more LED tv's in 2 years? They have been saying that since OLED came out and LED is still thriving and doing well so dont hold your breath. LED is going no where.
I know this is all the rage! And it's hard not to pull the trigger on it! But I really want a bigger TV! Here's my predictions and I call it now all these expensive LED's and oleds will drop in price very quickly because this QD-OLED is going to dominate its already Interrupted Samsung's LED lineup, and it will for sony too! There gonna have to cut there prices immediately! Once these TVs are sold out I really think people will wait until next year for 1 bigger panels and 2 to purchase a qd oled! I'm calling it now
Im glad Samsung did something right after a long time they haven’t made anything good since the plasma days. Im looking forward to see how Sony does with the A95K. Dolby vision is a must for me personally.
Hope this will pressure 2022 WOLED TVs' prices down so they can compete despite their inferior color volume. 55" seems too large for my use case, and 34" uw is an undesirable form factor, so will have to sit QD-OLEDs out until moving into a bigger place, probably.
Please upgrade to record in HDR. Watching on an iPhone 13 pro max. What do you think of the new iPhones screen? I have a 77” c1 and think the iPhone looks insanely good. Of course it’s got just a few more pixels per inch. It in hdr it peaks well above 1200 nits
I got S95B few days ago,i skipped softwate update so i have full 1500 nits of brightness,i love this tv so much, its so bright, amazing colors and black level,my software out of the box is 1310,i dont update cause i want keep full brightness,i know people complain about it,after software update they got max 1050 nits☹️
I was going to get 83" C1 or C2 because I like the large size. Now I may get the 65" S95 and use it for a couple years until the larger sizes come out and then move thus 65" to the bedroom.
This 55” would be perfect for my kitchen as it looks like it holds up well under bright conditions although I was planning on mounting my 55” Q80T on the kitchen wall already.
I sure do hope all your subscribers who are in the us buy there goodies from value electronics it’s great a smaller store can be a success a family run business
26:32 holy crap those stars. The contrast enhancer that is on in Dynamic and Standard mode. Dynamic also does "cool" color tone instead of warm 2. It's nice that you can if you want to watching some space movie get insane amount of stars and high brightness in them. Screw accuracy lol. I would put it into warm 1-2 though and drop color a bit. Imagine playing a game like a shooter where you need shadow detail or see into dark areas. Clearly contrast enhancer on high really opens that up. Yes it's not "accurate".. As long as it doesn't clip too much etc. Could be fun in some select material.
I think I will take stop the fomo advice to wait until next year to see what the 2nd generation Samsung will be like just had a thought according to Vincent at HDTV test the Samsung can't hold its 1500 nits as it drops down below 1000 is the panel bring forced to get its high brightness so ad the panel gets older will it ware out the panel and start to get dimmer as time goes on
Shrug. Maybe. But my 15 year old Samsung LED lasted a long time, despite doubters. Next year and the year after that and the year after that, they'll be better technology.
Hey Brian, was totally blown away by the demo of the lions and later the canoe in the deep blue waters. Are those demo's built in or could you help me to a source for these? Much appreciated and great look. Still waiting for mine (65 inch) as the retailer awaits stock from Samsung. Been waiting since April 30th now.
Just saw it at Best Buy. Only a 55" up, wish they had a 65". Colors are amazing, only good TV near it to compare it to running a simultaneous feed was a QN90A. More vibrant reds, greens and blues. Almost as bright as the QN90A but held up in the bright showroom vs the QN90A. Definitely more color volume and saturation than the C1 and A80/90J, most definitely definitely brighter. @@lukaslubbers2731 see and for me personally that’s important no doubt the Samsung is amazing but I’m still LG G2 the most mature OLED
Contrast enhancer is the secret sauce for HDR 👌
It’s probably due to the camera clipping colors as it’s crazy hard to capture this beast of a display
Hey Brian,
I love my LGC1 77 inch OLED but this Samsung looks incredible. I brought my tv from Robert back in October of last year.. Does he ever let people trade up their TV's? 😀😀
Nick
Ps. I bought my LGC1 OLED 77 thanks to you and your visits with Robert.. I learned so much after giving my nephew my old Sony x930e. I'm just curious...
You'll just want to upgrade again when the 75 QD OLEDs are released. Enjoy your C1.
@@adamhiniker9977 you're right.. 😜
Great vid Brian... lovely looking panel looks like a plasma though with that stand.. not that that's a problem...
Picture looks amazing...
Wow display, thanks Brian
If possible can your test Gears 5? And great first impressions video bro!
Looks great Brian 👍
I have a first-gen Sony 4k TV from 8 years ago. I know how good the processing is. Just wishing it's even better and brighter than the Samsung ... What an upgrade that's going to be then!
@@reyoktayhan yeah with heat sink I would think can push brightness. Excited to see difference. I grabbed the s95b 65" for $2700 so couldn't pass it up.
@@dtbrown1978wow, that is an incredible price! Enjoy!
Love what you do. Def keeping my eye for another 65 for the bedroom. Hope prices go down by December
Finally a game changing tv
You haven't seen anything yet! Wait for Samsung's other trump card, microled!
Hey this tv is on sale right now for almost a thousand off do you think it’ll be cheaper at Black Friday or is right now you think a good time to buy!?
Anyone else here after Vincent's video?
I am😁
Wow! Very colorful 👍
Ok…. Was looking at Sony X95K 65” but heard the 65 inch is NOT the quality of the 75” etc.
Dimming zones cut in half and blooming issues on the 65” only.
So my question…. S95B or X95k at 65”
Lighting and cost is not an issue.
Please help me…. Coming from the 65 X95J
Thanks bro
I was supposed to get a LG G2 and today at the last possible second I changed my mind and bought this. I hope I made the right decision
Great video!!!
Interested to import this from USA... Wonder if its Dual Voltage...
Great review as always!!!
Thank you!!!
Monster of a tv! Great video!
@@SteveSmith-cm1hx as you say!
Watching this on my S95B
Awesome ! Hope you are loving it!
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY it's amazing but going from 77in C1 to 65in is killing me I don't know if I can hold on lol
@@hard8gamingandagslive559 I completely understand my friend!
I'm calling it now
*Do you know if Samsung have patented their method of QD-OLED they are using? So LG don't copy them.*
QD PH OLED, that's how.
Cant wait for my X90K sony
Im glad Samsung did something right after a long time they haven’t made anything good since the plasma days.
Im looking forward to see how Sony does with the A95K. Dolby vision is a must for me personally.
The es8000 was the best LED TV ever, until 4k came in.
Hope this will pressure 2022 WOLED TVs' prices down so they can compete despite their inferior color volume. 55" seems too large for my use case, and 34" uw is an undesirable form factor, so will have to sit QD-OLEDs out until moving into a bigger place, probably.
When in 65 releasing in oz.
I’m of an age that remembers what a big tv 📺 was. 55 is still plenty big folks.
Can’t believe the current pricing. I mean that in a good way.
Where can I find that demo?
From your video the inputs are on both sides. Are you...flipping the video when showing the back of the TV and the inputs?
Please upgrade to record in HDR. Watching on an iPhone 13 pro max. What do you think of the new iPhones screen? I have a 77” c1 and think the iPhone looks insanely good. Of course it’s got just a few more pixels per inch. It in hdr it peaks well above 1200 nits
Great vid my friend! I know you said not to toss our old panels over it, but it was too late. I hurled it to the curb by the 30 second mark 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lolol
Watching this great review on Apple 5k Studio Display is fantastic! Man the colors and contrast pop on TH-cam. Real life must be fantastic.
Is the tv support VRR?
I got S95B few days ago,i skipped softwate update so i have full 1500 nits of brightness,i love this tv so much, its so bright, amazing colors and black level,my software out of the box is 1310,i dont update cause i want keep full brightness,i know people complain about it,after software update they got max 1050 nits☹️
I'd keep it offline my friend but also be mindful of burn in . Vary your content and you'll be fine
I was going to get 83" C1 or C2 because I like the large size. Now I may get the 65" S95 and use it for a couple years until the larger sizes come out and then move thus 65" to the bedroom.
That is a very shiny screen.
Mine is absolutely amazing… Q
Any burn in?
That's not a thing anymore with more than OLED TVs.
Daaamn, great intiative!! Looking forward to your experience 😁🤑❤
Can this be put in the living room??
1500 nits for sure I think
Here is the lion demo th-cam.com/video/FrKNa3hruBw/w-d-xo.html
Hi Brian u going to review the X90K right bro 🙂
I hope Samsung bring QD oled to tablets
Search premium panels will never go that small.
they need to have perfect colors... no color banding at all.... do you see any color banding/blocking etc..?
I love contrast enhancer on this panel, but I wish there was a medium level
Just saw it at Best Buy. Only a 55" up, wish they had a 65". Colors are amazing, only good TV near it to compare it to running a simultaneous feed was a QN90A. More vibrant reds, greens and blues. Almost as bright as the QN90A but held up in the bright showroom vs the QN90A. Definitely more color volume and saturation than the C1 and A80/90J, most definitely definitely brighter. The salesman was able to tune into the local CBS channel with their antenna. Upscaling looked good. This is a new processor. It's not the same processor as on the QN90A.
Great video👍Only 55 and 65 size models this Tv.
have a good one today Brian I'm going to be MIA for awhile.
Brian can you show real content like steaming boxes or other streaming services or cable for comparison & picture quality
S95B is better than A90J? They are both $3k now. Should I just wait for A95K and pay $1k more?
Can’t wait to find out
What demo is that?
Should I replace my CX with this one ?
Yes mate. i do it also! every 2 years i buy a new tv. i exchange my cx for it. and paid 1799 euro for the 65 inch s95b!
Not if you enjoy watching Dolby Vision content. The s95b doesn't support it.
@@classicgalactica5879 the colors pops more on the s95b! i have vision on my cx. it`s not great. because the makers of it make it just 10 bit! and we have 10 bits panels. so you dont seen the diffrence. dumb people only think its better
I’m swapping my C2 out for the S95B
@@kiellieferickson5506 enjoy friend. i think about it. to buy also the s95b? otherwise wait till next year lg. but i dont know if c3 and g3 next year get the micro lens panels! how is the s95b? in a dark room with much light, you seen a bit greyish, its not dark black? will the s95b blow the c2 out of the water? what are you experience so far with it?
