He was pivotal in dispelling the USSR rule, active from 1973-1992, then President from 1992 - 1996 until the Taliban rolled in, and was President in exiled 1996-2001. He was assassinated by the Taliban in 2011 while trying to negotiate peace with them. The Taliban are extremists, and hated that he was a huge opposer to them since he was an Islamic scholar and would expose their twisted practice of Islam which went against the main beliefs of the religion.

The leaders in this videos are:
    - Rabbani
    - Mojaddedi
    - Gailani
All who later became major officials of the post-Soviet Afghan government and fought Pakistani-backed Hekmatyar then the Taliban. After Pakistani-backed Taliban took over the capital in 1996, these three leaders, along with the famous Afghan hero Masoud, founded the Northern Alliance which kept its alliance with the US and helped overthrowing Taliban in 2001.
So please don’t be ignorant thinking that every Afghan with a turban and beard is Taliban. Taliban did not even exist in that time. The movement was developed later as an anti-Mujahdeen rebellion following the civil war led by warlords. Pakistan shifted its support from Hekmatyar to Taliban in the mid 90s.
If you really to understand what had happened in Afghanistan, you need to understand how Pakistan views Afghanistan as its backyard through controlling the Pashtun leadership in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

I also do not agree with these terrorists indiscriminately killing innocent people and they should be brought to justice. Once upon a time they had a president as honorable as Reagan, for he respected brave men. Alas there is one odd fox among the Lions. Brave Afghans & brave Reagan pulverised Soviet union & liberated more than a dozen countries ranging from Muslim Qazakistan to Latvia Poland east Germany Lithuania Estonia Belarus Hungary Chekoslakia Azerbaijan Romania Ukraine Bulgaria & few others. In return, America colonised Afghanistan, many Afghans killed more maimed & even more pushed to Pakistan, Iran & scattered all over the globe. Iran is using them in war against arabs in Syria. Afghans gave peace & security against USSR to the western world but are pushed into hellfire of civil war anarchy disunity poverty. They lost agriculture, peace, they lost culture song music money. They lost cities. They lost nationhood. They lost every thing. When you see them in shambles & utter poverty in Pakistan it is so saddening. They don't want to go back to their country. Afghanistan will never be the same, simple, honest, peaceful, romantic, singing & religious but not extremist, above all proud & United. How sad!😥😣 NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!
Justice does Not mean equality. Justice means every one gets one's due share & due right, Not more Not less. Until that end, War will go on. All & sundry understand this, the earlier, the better. If no peace in Afghanistan there will be no peace any where!

Probably the only style available in his part if the world . Beats blindness , regardless of fashion .
Hopefully President Reagan is adept at listening objectively .

This man, Ronald Reagan, abolished the Fairness Doctrine, that made it so that the media had to show actual facts, on the news. He is the father of fake news, such as Fox News, and CNN. I may be a liberal, but CNN is biased, too, and not just news.
Reagan and daddy Bush, also brought crack and coke into poor black communities, via Rick Ross, to fund an illegal war in Nicaragua. They got money by selling the drugs, and also for the incarceration of poor black folks for possession and use, which Biden has acknowledged, that people of color, are exponentially given longer sentences, for the same crimes, in our nation.
Sir, this has nothing to do with religion. Reagan was a bad man.
