Devil May Cry recently has managed to provide me with some of the most enjoyable (and frustrating) experiences of my life. I didn't think that a game involving a wacky wahoo pizza man could claw it's way into my top 5 games of all time and top 5 favorite franchises. Itsuno and many of the old guard of Capcom may be gone now, but we can only wish for more from the franchise from other capable hands. Thank you for motivating us Itsuno, and you too Cheeb.
No, we should stop milking a good franchise until it becomes bad. The people of the new generation should make their OWN stuff instead of just building on someone elses legacy. How can you expect anything that respects and truly understands the franchise you love to come from a person who didn't invent it? People need to learn to let go, a story can reach a point where it's DONE and that is fine. Artists need to create their OWN work, that is the only way for truly amazing new stuff to be created. There is not a single artist in this world that will showcase their FULL POTENTIAL while just expanding someone elses art instead of making their own.

This franchise was created by Hideki Kamiya. If Capcom had your logic back then, DMC would've stopped right after DMC1. The franchise ended up being in better hands with Itsuno anyways. I deeply respect Kamiya but Itsuno made DMC what it is today. Acting like no one else can pick up the torch and follow Itsuno's amazing blueprint is quite a narrow and regressive mindset. I got the very first DMC as a birthday present, twenty-three damn years ago. Fell in love. I played DMC2, didn't hate it, but the lack of what it could have been was everywhere. DMC3 came along, saved the series, was ans is still to my thinking the greatest action game of all time. DMC4 built upon it, had its flaws but did so much so right. DmC was an experiment they took WAY too far in a trying too hard direction. And DMC5 was a masterpiece. Itsuno couldn't have left on a more perfect note, a culmination to everything great the series has been. They could make a dozen more, or never make another, and either would suit equally well. I say all this because for a bunch of those twenty-three years, DMC was niche. This thing I loved so much didn't have that many fans, or it seemed like it anyway. Getting to see content like yours, getting to see people love this series this much, is a constant damn joy. Thank you for your work.
You should try the "neo vergil" mod that lets you cancel trick teleport with attacks and removes the cooldown after using it making him even more lore accurate
