Why they shoot his mom's house up and his brother if he didn't give a statement. He said he signed a affidavit. You don't have to sign an affidavit unless you gave a statement.
Statement can be pro or con…if you can find the affidavit then finding the actual statement should be easy, should be in the same file as the affidavit… the statement will tell what was said and signed off on.

From my understanding (never been to prison) it’s fairly common. I heard 1 to life is even a thing. Most people try their best to avoid that “to life” part because it’s an indefinite stay. You could do 20 years on it if they feel like making you do that.
