Yes Robo. The OG Mumm- Ra & Lion-O figures did indeed have light up eyes. They each came with a "ring" that housed a AA battery with a connector you pushed into the figure's back just below their action function lever.
Despite being exclusive and having guns, they still made sure to remove Hex's Confederate garb, which makes him a bit more generic, but I guess they can't assume that everyone knows the context for why he still dresses that way post Civil War.
I'm not a big fan of Spider-Man India as a character, but I love his design. My Spider-shelf is getting very, very full these days... might need to a Spider-cull.
See, yeah, without knowing anything beforehand, it was the design that pulled me in. Just eyecatching. My biggest fear is the movie will make me want to go back and try to catch up with all the ones I've skipped, which is ALL of them. Sigh....

As of right now, BBTS has not canceled any orders of the $34.99 priced figure, so if you were lucky enough to grab it at that price, keep your fingers crossed. That Spidey India costume is a bad ass design. I think it's up there with my favorites from the spider-verse.
Dc multiverse collector here- the new packaging says “not a toy” now. And a lot of stores in my area have removed the pegs for them in the toy isles and have them in the electronics with the neca type stuff. I’m guessing it’s so they can do more intricate sculpts and harder/sharper accessories plastics. “Toys” not in the toy isle don’t have to pass drop tests or be kid safe and stuff like that.
I noticed the price being lower on BBTS and was thinking either it didn't come with the Phoenix flame, or it was the price mistake it ended up being. Good news is I got it for $15 off.
I'm so glad I jumped on the Phoenix figure while it was $35 on BBTS and EE. I'm keeping both orders in case one site decides to "correct" the preorder price. Hope you have fun at SDCC! It's Ok Robo. I personally didn't miss Across the Spider-Verse. Hell after The Batman, it was the second film I saw in theatres after 2020! But as a fan of Miguel/Spider-Man Two Oh Ninety Nine for his entire life, all that movie did was hurt me, and when it made sure I was down, it proceeded to gleefully kick me for the rest of the runtime. I'm sure it would have curbed stomped me if it was any longer.
RE; price for The phoenix . 1. A new mold that is very detailed and rather large. Especially compared to other effects pieces. 2.. A unique mold that isn't going to be re-used much if at all. 3. They're not going to move a lot of units to allow bulk sales to offset start-up casts for this item. 4. The type and color of the plastic as well as the way it's mixed creating an somewhat ethereal perception, rather than a solid orange or yellow and if they're wanting to impress they'd paint a lighter color on the tip of each tongues . I assume that the phoenix's price is a reflection of the cost to make a "large"ish for effects- mold as well as the kind of plastic-color and visual texture. In the past IF we'd gotten anything like this it'd probably be a flat solid yellow or something. Then there's the fact that it's not going to be a highly purchased unit AND I can't think of even ONE way to re-use the mold. I think the price is okay. Not a great deal or even good but also not in anyway outlandish, stickin it to the collector etc. You don't have to buy it. I don't really get the outrage and entertainment that seems to be common nowadays. I'm NOT saying that the collectors should be quite and...I don't know.. Certainly use your wallet to control the market. However, as with life in general not everyone will be able to have everything they want and it's not the corporation's responsibility to make it so. Hex is as close to the perfect melding of mediums I've seen in this format. Better or as good as some of the mezco...it doesn't feel.........? Forced? Feels organic? Not sure how to articulate the concept my mind is attempting to convey....but I love it! ALL capes and outer overlay NEEDS to be done like this with wires. Hoods should stay soft plastic but the rest...free up movement and look more dynamic...obviously just my thoughts but seems so obvious to me that I wonder why it's never been implemented before...cost?
If Hasbro just did Dark Phoenix re-release with a Rachel head (reuse EndGame ScarJo?), I would be content. I’d **LOVE** a Hound Rachel Summers, tho. (Clean and scarred heads!) Also, that Nega-Robo works well with that shirt when discussing Venom. The open S-foils almost make it look like Venom’s spider. If ya squint.

Tomorrow is the 2 year anniversary of when I preordered my Retro Classified Storm Shadow and it’s still sitting there in preorder status. I tried to cancel it through the app but it just errors so it’s just going to sit there until they get their crap together and figure out what to do with it.
Strange that it doesn't go the OTHER way...clones of star scream, Megatron etc NOT shattered glass but clones without the motivation to be bad or even blank slates found and activated by a human town and the citizens treat them with kindness and love and even endanger and or sacrifice their freedom or homes safety etc from the government, decepticons etc and the clones going forward with the memories and examples of the best of humanity.

Tomorrow is the 2 year anniversary of when I preordered my Retro Classified Storm Shadow and it’s still sitting there in preorder status. I tried to cancel it through the app but it just errors so it’s just going to sit there until they get their crap together and figure out what to do with it.

Strange that it doesn't go the OTHER way...clones of star scream, Megatron etc NOT shattered glass but clones without the motivation to be bad or even blank slates found and activated by a human town and the citizens treat them with kindness and love and even endanger and or sacrifice their freedom or homes safety etc from the government, decepticons etc and the clones going forward with the memories and examples of the best of humanity.
