  • J. Sai Deepak is an engineer turned litigator turned author. His two books India that is Bharat: Coloniality, Civilisation, Constitution and India, Bharat and Pakistan: The Constitutional Journey of Sandwiched Civilisation are two voluminous well-researched books on the Indian civilisation. His views are hugely popular among a cross-section of the Indian population which believes that the way Indians have read and perceived the history of their own civilisation is through the prism of their colonial masters and that Indians constantly seek validation. On the other hand, some historians feel that J. Sai Deepak and other historians are whitewashing history through an unnecessary debate of native versus colonial prism. In an in-depth conversation with Smita Prakash, J. Sai Deepak busts historical myths which have been propagated by historians for decades. From Wahhabism to Sufism to the origins of the Two-Nation Theory he explains each topic meticulously. Throughout the conversation, he emphasises the fact that there is a need for more proponents of the alternate narrative.

@@dramatispersonae1315 Besides the festivals, major portions of the dharmic knowledge regarding every aspect of leading a dharmic life has been lost or diluted. Thousands of symbols of Sanatan Dharma have been destroyed over the past 500 years. Even in current times, destructive forces are devoting their lives to destroy Hinduism and India. I am not Indian but rather from South America... but half of my parents' ancestors came from India over 190 years ago! Indians in my country... Guyana, are as Indian as can be! I enjoyed this conversation tremendously! I have long thought that it was time Hindus in India grew a pair of giant balls! Assertive but not aggressive... never attacking first but always carrying a large stick (metaphorical) to protect themselves when they are attacked... ready to finish completely what someone else had started! I can see that assertion and pride coming back... now for that metaphorical protective big stick!

If political doctrines influenced by the idea of a hindu nation seem to be working contradictory to what the society has spawned as efforts to re-establish the idea of bhaviya hindu desh then you are a fool to not recognise the dichotomy of thought and the latent Hypocrisy which would make everything murky lacking in clarity and purpose, ultimately ending up in creating a debauched society swirling down the drain in its own chaos .....

Muslims are very tactful even those who are at the bottom are very aware of making sure Hindus remain in delusions.
When that swara Bhaskar got married to a Muslim guy a Maulana on twitter objected saying "marrying a kafir without converting them for a Muslim is haraam or anti islamic"
Can you guess the replies he got?
Hindus obviously were talking about who gives him a right to interfere in personal lives but muslims were saying "you don't have to anounce on a loudspeaker" "something's are better to be kept quiet" basically meaning that how do you know if she hasn't already converted to Islam?
They were even angry on that Maulana that he was putting it out on the public while the better approach it do it in hush hush mode so the people remain ignorant.
These were not some intellectuals but normal muslim people.
They know it's counterproductive to talk about religious conversion openly while you can do the same without alerting people.
This is their strategy they use everywhere.
Kashmiri pundits were chased out of kashmir yet no body in the Hindu community paid any attention to it for a long period of time.
They're very strategic like this that's why Hindus remain ignorant about their schemes but in reality i had my mind blown when i heard about how clever and systematic Islamists actually are.

I am From hyderabad Karnataka region. I came to know the history of Our land From my father. Those "Razaakars" are really cruel. My father was 7 year old and he saw From his eyes that the Muslims targeted Hindus, and started killing with the slogans " Bamman ko maaro, baniye ko looto, etc... " He ( my father) saw that on the sharp noke of the Talwar a small 3 months baby was hanged like a apple on knife. When he saw that scene he screamed immediately my bade chcha ji took him and they hided for 2 days. Without food and water. That much cruelty showed by the Razakars.😡

Thank you Smita-ji. I'm nearing 70 and learning fast about India. Because i lived all my life in Kolkata before coming to the US in 1980, I just had to focus on what was good for my family. Being from his IIT (in ME though) and a father of an IP lawyer here, his book appears to be the right book for me. Incidentally, between family members and school mates, I knew at least 50 families who had come at various points of time from East Bengal because Curzon's action had indicated what was coming. These people hated Gandhi but many fell for Soviet lies (as they did in England as well). Generating wealth does not come easy for them. Hope you continue to win all your cases Sai-ji.

India didn't exist before 1947. Italy didn't exist before 1860. Turkey didn't exist before 1914 and so on. Concept of Countries was invented in Europe in the 16th century. Before the invention of the concept of countries, there were only empires and kingdoms. Turkey was created after the fall of the Ottomans empire. Dozens of countries were created based on nationalities after the fall of the Ottomans empire. Italy was created in 1860 by merging various small kingdoms of Italian nationality. Similarly, Germany was created in 1871 by merging various small kingdoms of German nationality. Similarly, all European countries were created based on nationalities.
Now the question is what is nation and nationality? A nation is a society that shares a common language, culture, and history and has shared interests. For example English, German, Italian, Turkish, French, Russian, Dutch, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Punjabi, kashmiri, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Malyalam, Thai etc are nations and a country based on single nation or nationality is called a nation state. Most countries in Europe are based on single nationalities and are nation states or simply called nations.
India was created out of the British Indian empire on the basis of two nations bogus theory. Two nations were assumed as Islam and hindusim. But in reality, Islam and Hinduism are not nations.
A nation is a society that shares a common language, culture, and history and has shared interests. For example, English, French, Russian, Dutch, germans, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Punjabi, kashmiri, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Malyalam, Thai etc are nations.
There are dozens of nations within India and Pakistan. And hence India and Pakistan are union of nations or multinationalcountries. Nations are Punjab, Kashmir, sindh, Baluchistan, Gujarat, Bengal, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu etc. And in modern world countries are created on basis of nationality like the countries in Europe (England, France, Germany, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Croatia etc) or in Asia (Korea, Japan, China,Thailand, Philippines etc) and Bangladesh etc are countries based on nationalities. But India and Pakistan were not created based on nationalities but on two nation (Islam Hinduism) bogus theory. Hence, these countries are based on religions. Bangladesh was created on the basis of Bangla nationality in 1971
