- Dogs can be sensitive to changes that happen in their lives, just as humans can be. And this can upset a dog’s routine and trigger troubling behavior changes. Having a new member in the family and no longer being the center of attention can be just as stressful. In this video we share a glimpse of how our cavoodle dog Olive have been adjusting to having a new baby in the house and how we've been helping her destress. #babyanddog

@@ajlajkitbre the child should not be laying flat to be fed, it is so dangerous the milk could enter the lungs ect you are correct they should Google it, I am a baby medic of 36yrs and was seriously concerned seeing this.

@Ljubinka Hi thank you for your concern on our baby. It was actually one of the burping techniques we learned online and we were trying to see if he like it better and honestly i don't think i was doing it right. We were exploring different techniques to find the one he feels comfortable and we learned that he likes the one where we put him on our shoulder. Please understand that we are first time parent still figuring things out and making a few mistakes on the way!
She just needed a little time and reassurance is all. Now they’re besties I bet!

Precious sweet puppy is trying to do what the human is doing. It is natural to protect and be close to baby especially when human us doing things with baby. Puppy wants to do the same thing as human and play with little baby. Let puppy be part and included in all you are doing.
I really enjoyed watching this video. Reminded me of my sweet baby Bella who passed away Dec 14, 2021. She was our spoiled baby of the family. She was with us as a pup and had the pleasure of spoiling her for 12-1/2 years. May God rest her soul. Thank you again for the video. It brought back fond memories.

Poor little Olive, shes your Baby too and dies not understand, shes adarli g little dog and with patience, love and teaching she will grow to love her human sibling.
My dog Moo Moo is like that with her new puppy brother!! Soon Ian will be eating more solid food and accidentally dropping it for Olive to clean up. Then Ian will be sharing on purpose. Olive will have to keep his hands and face clean a lot. This is the basis of a lasting relationship!!

suggestion to new parents...I was told never lay your babies flat to drink ......you should try it first and see how it feels to swallow laying down? Upright everything prevents milk coming back up and ear infections... this information wsa provided to me from the ICU nurse and Ear Eye and throat dr.

She's pretty mellow compared to a lot of other dogs when they're displaced by a newborn.
Yeah I’ve heard some horror stories of jealous dogs harming the newborn. There was one specific story of a dog biting the baby’s pp off .,… I hope new parents will always keep a vigilant eye when their baby is with a pet. Yes they are our beloved friends but at the end of the day, they are animals still.

Wonder how many adults can drink from a baby bottle, straw, glass etc., laying down?
I was always taught to bottle feed milk, water, juice, etc., holding baby's head up slightly up, NOT giving bottle to baby laying down. (Also after each feeding to give them a little bit water to wash the sugar from the milk from baby's mouth).
Reference the dog. No matter what breed, even the most kindest dog can harm baby. Even jealous siblings need to be carefully watched unfortunately, so assume same with any dog.

About the dog, I am not an expert, but it seems that they are handling it well, so I don't understand what is that seemed wrong.
About the feeding of the baby, I am afraid you were taught wrong. Infants don't swallow the same way as older children and adults do. Eating while lying down is normal for them.
About the water, breastmilk is what is only suitable for a baby up to 6 months, nothing else. This, of course, has been exchanged in majority nowadays by formula milk, sadly... Even so, the amount of water in the mix with the milk powder has been studied so that there is a fluid balance in the baby's diet, so no water should be added in that case either.

Oh my gosh too cute!!! Our dog was very attached to my hubs and he was fine with our son since he still had daddy time, but when our daughter came he was depressed since she was sooooooo cute and a daddy’s girl haha. It’s really sad and hard in reality but it’s also so cute to watch them adjust to being puppy sibs ;).
