if i had a nickel for every time Green Day's 'Good Riddance' played during/before a valedictorian's speech in a characterswelcome video, i'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot but its weird that it happened twice
Honestly, this felt like the complete opposite at my high school. The highest gpa students had the tightest cliques and the most hookups. But then half of them also felt like they had some form of high functioning anxiety, depression, etc.
Lol my highschools valedictorian was a madman that always had magic mushrooms to share on the weekends. That kid could party. He went to harvard and then i lost track of him.
lmao this is not far from me in high school. don't worry kids, once you're out in the real world or if you go off to university, you'll have your time :)
Two months later, she’s naked in the fountain the first night on campus at the swanky liberal arts college she got a full ride scholarship to. It’s not long before that hymen is a distant memory and she’s making up time for all the missed beers. After a vast amount of research, she comes out as a lesbian a year later. Somehow manages to complete her thesis chain smoking weed and graduate on time. Then finds herself in rehab at 26.
Wish I could relate as a nerd but fortunately i wasnt smart either ! Unless there was an Honors class for anime & being last to be picked up from school lol
Unweighted is always out of 4.0. a 4.0 in standard level courses is worth exactly the same amount to colleges and anyone who looks at your GPA as a 5.0 with honors courses is, they all get reduced to be out of the same scale and have the same maximums and minimums You probably know all this I get it's a joke I just think it's funny that so many people at my old school think an A+ in an honors course is worth more to their GPA than an A+ in a standard course
But she can still do all those things. The girl who parties dropped out to be a single mom. Dude who partied dropped out to pay child support. She can do whatever she wants, and theyl just end up working for her.

Lol, I was waiting for an audience member to hop on stage and give her a kiss. 😂
She’s a background extra in Euphoria high school.
Oh god, the green day song is so spot on lmao
It’s even better that they’ve used it before in the slasher valedictorian speech 😂

6:36 "is sex fun?" why does that line to me somehow feel unironically profound
I weirdly thought she would tell her parents that she wasn't going to look after them when they were old. The barely lifted middle finger was better.
I did not agree to be called out like this
This is me in college except my grades aren't as good
Lol, same. I just wanna have fun!!!!
Right in the intersection between buoyant comedy and deeply unsettling and scathing one woman show.
Just convinced me to go do drugs before highschool ends
we did it!

I'd like to say this was me in high school and college, but I had the misfortune of being an outcast nerd who didn't get good grades ;_;
She ate
Shame that nobody returned the favor 😢
I think this might be my favorite characterswelcome skit ever. so close to home in the best way
I'm sure it's a groan-inducing cliche now, but I was actually in the class that graduated when that Green Day song was a new hit.
One of the most immersive and believable ones on the channel.
as someone who had no fun in highschool this hit to close to home
yeah except i wasn't even near to bring the valedictorian 😭

Austin Williams. She did comedy-skits for Studio C and has some real talent.
Oh, neat! When was that?

Is it normal that I cried with this
I need to see a movie about what happened to her after high school, in the vein of Booksmart
I loved that movie even more than I was sure I would.
Felt like a really good movie intro so a continuation would be pretty cool

😂😂😂 So freaking funny!!!
THAT WAS THE NAME OF MY VALEDICTORIAN.
this hit a little too close but thank you for it
HILAROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She’s just like me FR
Pfp checks out
@@airplanes_aren.t_real you’re not wrong. 😂
She probably is not planning to go to college and joining a sorority.
Oh no...at least I had theater club!
This sounds like a great high school experience to me. She's gonna go far
4.0? That's not great, honestly. Did you not take any honors courses?
Not all schools do weighted GPA's, 4.0 might be as high as it goes!

My valedictorians were defined as all As (unweighted), so students who challenged themselves got excluded.
If I knew then what I know now, life would have been way more fun back then 😭
Why does the description say RIP? Is she okay??
