    Hi, I'm win 10 user.. I do just simply (using stereo cable) and its cheap😊hope for mac user can work too..
    Requirement :
    - A1. Pc must have active onboard audio (do not disable audio onboard from bios setting)
    - A2. Pc/laptop must have line in input (don't use mic input)
    - B1. Audio interface have more than 2 input and output channel (can use headphone too as source send to line input)
    - B2. If u not doing recording track in daw while live streaming, no need audio interface with more than 2 input channel (this if u not have line input in on pc/laptop, if exist line in on pc/laptop, 2 input channel can use for recording in daw while live streaming)
    C. Stereo cable
    Scenario :
    - A. connect the output of your audio interface output to line in on pc/laptop. or
    - B. connect the output from audio interface to the input/instrument in the same audio interface.
    Then open obs, audio capture, choose one source audio in (pc line in or audio interface input channel)
    Turn on monitor track in SO when u doing recording audio in daw (obs will capture the audio while recording in daw).
    Dont forget in daw/SO master bus to use vu meter calibrate to -12dB, -6dB. Limiter -0.1, -0.2, -0.3 or what u prefer for measure the signal u send to line input u can adjust for not to much hot or distorted.
    How much the signal audio level u send from daw to line in and obs is control from your audio interface GUI mixer, not from daw/SO mixer.

    This has helped solve months of spending hours and hours of frustration trying to figure this out for livestreaming. Thank you and GOD bless you for putting this out there.

    Joe, thank you for doing this. I was racking my brain following some of the OBS directions (they have it wrong, they have it as a multiple output device vs aggregate device). I followed your instructions and added the sub outputs and voila! It worked. I can't believe I couldn't find how to do this simply on the internet! This was a life saver. Thank you!!

      @@JoePearsonGuitarist I also just shared on the Presonus forum. I've had some experience working with their tech folks, who are great, but can be confusing to work with if you are an amateur/hobbyist.

    Spent days trying to figure this out this is the only video that got me anywhere! Thank you for the good info!!! Does anybody have any info for how to route your effect sends to black hole? I created a send w reverb, sent that to a bus and to the bus to the sun mix but the effect doesn’t come through

      I think it might actually be easier with windows machines, I’ve head the audio routing is more accessible than on a Mac - I’m not sure though!

    Thanks for this tip. I was about to buy Loopback . you may just have saved me £100. Hopefully it works with the DJ software I use for streaming. I did a video showing my Loopback set up on my channel. but ill be posting this if it works. Keep it up.

    Thanks for the video! I have a question though - what should you keep in the Audio-Output MacOs settings? Should it be an Aggregate device? For some reason, I've followed all the steps but no coming sound to OBS from StudioOne :(

    • @JoePearsonGuitarist
      @JoePearsonGuitarist  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry to hear you’re still having problems - can you clarify for me please, “what should you keep in the oudio output Mac OS settings” - if you mean the sound settings for the Mac via the control panel, then yes you should choose the aggregate device - and it should also be chosen as the sound source in obs - let me know if that’s not what you meant though 👍

    You wouldn’t happen to know how to solve the feedback echo when using windows when broadcasting? I’m using studio one with the studio 68c interface. During training sessions I have to shut all my effects off and there’s still a crazy echo. :(

    I you revisit the IShowU site you'll see that it is being deprecated due to kext changes from apple in coming updates making this solution useless and the replacement for IShowU will ofcourse not be available for download outside their commersial software. Any thoughts on this?

    • @JoePearsonGuitarist
      @JoePearsonGuitarist  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting - I don't know about that, but I have noticed that the latest version of studio one, released recently, seems to make provision for live stream routing, direct from the DAW to something like OBS, probably worth checking that out (I actually wondered whether they'd watched videos like mine and decided to create an add it to do it in the software)

    Has anyone else had issues with Studio One 5 crashing ? Once I followed this video, absolutely to a T. Downloaded the shiny white box. Set up the interface in midi audio. When I go to preferences in studio one. Then select the audio device we made in midi audio app. Studio one skips and after a few moments. I have to force quit. Anyone else have this issue ?
