Im in north florida, theres are alot of cheap roofing companies giving out bids at $375-$425 a square on arch shingle. We do OC duration as a preffered installed, all work is inspected, permitted and we get the homeowner up to current hurricane codes, carry 3 million in liability and all our installers have workers comp. We charge $500 a square and unfortunately, many customers pick the cheapest bid and half of these other companies will be out of business in 2 years so good luck on warranty work in a few years down the road.
