Still a long, very long way to go, despite being so kuch smaller in population and land mass, Germany and Japan are producing more than double than India. It's honestly sad how inefficient India is. Hopefully the scenario changes drastically within the next decade.

It's manufacturing value add. This has a very different meaning. It's is not the incremental manufacturing value in a year but rather cumulative value of differences between finished good and raw materials. Ie manufacturing value add. If you dont know something, don't talk so big.

If India wants to achieve the goal of third largest economy it must concentrate on Manufacturing and manufacturing cannot be possible in big way till the time total ban on chinese finished goods is done.

I don't think sir understood the meaning of value added. It does not mean that itnis for one year. It is the valuebof your effort. The ggods that you produce mi us the value of the imported goods in the input. It isnused in the same sense as VAT - Value Added Tax.
If India imports 2 components wort 100 USD each, assembles them together add some componentsbof its own and sells it for 500 USD, then value added = 500 - 200 = 300 USD.
